I do Dollar Tree halls all the time for my crafting addiction. Since the new manager Lexi started this Dollar tree has been getting cleaned up! I noticed the shelves are more stocked and I even witnessed her helping an elderly customer to her car with her purchases. This Bellflower one is on my route now! I went to this dollar tree at opening. Got a few things and ran into the manager there who not only greeted me but offered me assistance. I went about my day. Ended up coming back at closing the same day and she was still there. The manager Lexie puts her heart and soul into that place. She was even cool enough to let me go through her hot wheels selection and take all the vintage Honda models and batmobiles. She's the absolute best. read more

12/23/22 it's the 11th hour as I frantically look for wine/beverage gift bags--coz I ran out. The other location in Cerritos had bare walls for Christmas wrapping stuff. Thank goodness I took a second look at the bare wall here & found a few stragglers. Yesss! I'm saved! I was going to resort to using the red & white stockings (for the fireplace mantle) as the containers for my glass bottles for gift wrapping. They had just one line and 2 cashiers. Atleast they were pretty expedient in moving customers through checkout. Understandably, it's towards the end of the day & things are a bit more disheveled & disorganized. All in all, it's a smaller store but the cashiers are super nice & quick. Got what I needed, except for the gift labels-but that's what happens when you wait til the 11th hour:( I struggle between a 3 or a 4 so I'll go with 3.5 stars. read more

This was the only dollar tree in my area for a long time. They actually have really nice gretting cards and bags. Especially for a kids birthday. Kids don't read their damn cards. Im not wasting money on them! I have got some cool holiday treats for work too. It is not the cleanest or nicest. But, it's a lot more convenient than the 99 cent store. Great place for glow in the dark bracelets and necklaces for 4th of July. read more

This is the nastiest place ever . The staff does not have a name tag for one. Two I asked for the key to use the restroom . He told me it was nasty . I went anyways and the things I saw they should be shut down! I asked for the manager which she didn't have a name tag on and I told her I went into the bathroom. Her first words was like you seen it, and he gave you the key? He wasn't suppose to give you a key. I then asked how long has it been she claims two days ... first off there wasn't a sign saying out of order . I told her that's ridiculous and this is the nastiest place ever . I do not recommend this store location Poor management and the bathroom situation is awful The worse part is that management at this location simply doesn't seem to care and do nothing to solve a safety issue I understand that it's required that all businesses should have a neutral gender bathroom but the customers bathroom doesn't have a lock in the door for at least one customer at a time and it doesn't, when I brought this observation to Laura the store manager she showed no empathy or support she only stated "why should we have a lock? Came here during the Covid- 19 crisis. The store was considerably well organized, but a bit crowded. However, SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO TAMMI!!!!....This woman really kept all the lines moving, made sure everyone was 6ft apart, took the time to see if shoppers were being safe in the store, & constantly disinfected the carts & door handles/windows. I am extremely satisfied with TAMMI'S dedication & service to customers. This woman deserves a raise!! read more

I've been to many discount stores in my day, but I've never shopped at the Dollar Tree. Hey, I love getting my savings on, so Dollar Tree, here I come! I can't critique this store without comparing it to it's main competitor, the 99 Cent Only store. The selection wasn't as varied as ye ol' 99. There is a refrigerated section but no produce section, which is the main reason I shop at the 99 Cent store. Also, the Dollar Tree was pretty unkept, with items all around the floor. I did find some choice items, like a glass vinegar dispenser and a plastic jar opener. Overall, I rate the 99 Cent Only store higher than Dollar Tree. I would only recommend shopping here if it's closer & you want to snatch something quick. read more

Two days before Easter & I came in to get last minute Easter basket necessities. I was so surprised at their selection! They still had plenty of baskets & decorations. I had visited two other stores prior to & the shelves were emptied, so I was glad I stumbled upon this Dollar Tree. They had a variety of candies & toys which made my job a whole lot easier, since I was able to pick out everything I needed to complete my baskets! read more

The store is big, and the cashier was nice. He greeted me as I entered the store. The associates also know that when theres a long line, they come out to open a register. The only thing is the bathroom was filthy and had no tissue. I went out to the car to get tissue that I was lucky to have, and came back in, and discovered the toilet wouldnt flush. I own a local bartending school in the area. I buy most of my glassware from the dollar tree. They have a great selection. Usually when I get to the front of the line the cashiers give me a horrible attitude because they have to wrap all the glassware and box it. I came straight from work and got here about 15 minutes before closing. Got to the front of the line about 7 minutes before closing. Tiffany my cashier was very nice about the whole situation. She was patient, nice, and friendly. Even though that was probably the last thing she wanted to do a few minutes before her shift was over, she didnt let it show. I really appreciate it. There was a sweet employee named Hasim I believe, he was honestly the sweetest employee. I had a question about some candy and before he confirmed there being no candy he quickly went and asked his manager about it just to double check and she was honestly horrible she was rude and tried making him look dumb for bothering her chitchatting with another employee . I felt so horrible for the guy he continued with a great attitude but you can tell how bad she mad him feel, he was just trying to do his job and make a customer happy. I just LOVE using my debit card to make purchases. It's a lot safer than carrying large amounts of cash on your person. I stopped by Dollar Tree to purchase a couple bottles of Arizona tea. When it was my turn to pay at the checkstand, I decided to use my debit card and get cash back. After I swiped my card, I selected the option to get cash back. After selecting the amount, I then was asked on the scanner if I agreed to pay a $1.00 surcharge to get my cash back. I thought, HUH??? This is the first time I have EVER experienced this at ANY retailer!!! So I canceled getting my cash back and just paid for the amount of my purchase. So, if you want to make purchases at Dollar Tree with your card, make sure to use a CREDIT card, not a DEBIT card (with your PIN; use the credit option instead). Not cool, Dollar Tree. One star off for you and one more reason to shop at 99 Cent Only Store instead. read more

I am a caregiver for a disabled handicap lady. I went into this dollar tree this morning and my client had to use the restroom. The manager named Desiree had seen us scrambling to the restroom. The manager watched, but didn't inform us that we needed a key or anything. We were informed by a DIFFERENT employee that we needed a key. Running all the way back to the bathroom we come to find out by one of the cashiers named Loran had lied to us and told us that the bathrooms were "out of order". My client ended up having an accident so I demanded they open the bathroom so I can care for and clean her. THE BATHROOMS WERE IN WORKING ORDER! I am so mad because they were very dishonest and unhelpful towards the situation I was in. I come here all the time , spend a lot of money here if someone has to go I expect corporation and courtesy at the VERY LEAST! read more

This store is horrible! Never have I felt the need to come home and shower and wash my cloths after visiting a store...EVER! First when we walk in you can hear some guy coughing his head off literally hacking away until finally we see him and the dude doesn't even have his mask on correctly! Then you hear one of the employees hollering at the top of her lungs at this poor little old man who has no clue on how their lines work, And instead of talking nice, and calmly to him, she's speaking to him like he's some sort of criminal! Their lines are ridiculous and there is no way that they are 6 feet apart like they state on their website, and there is no contactless payment their credit card machines have a plastic bags over them and even the girl at the register said that's nothing to do with keeping it sterile for the customer it's because they don't want the machines to get ruined by having sanitizer sprayed over them you still have to insert your card, enter your code number pressing all these buttons that people before you did the same thing too! And the lady that was hollering at that little old man oh my god she's over there scolding this couple asking them if they waited in line or did they just cut in...thankfully the other register employee spoke up and told this lady they didn't cut in line, they were up next and she called them! It's just not a good store to have in Lakewood they don't have any regard or concern for their customers, and keeping this store looking clean, being clean and having friendly kind employees...the store is too overcrowded at a time like this when social distancing is our number one tool to stay safe read more

Friday 12/29/17 - Arrived at 9:33pm to find store closed. Not only does YELP indicate they should be open until 10pm but their hours of operation (9a - 10p M-Sat) are posted prominently on the door. The day before father's day, my daughter and I decided to buy some balloons for my husband. When we came it was a little busy so we decided to check out on some of the organization stuff there. When it was our time to check out, we told STEVIE that we need some balloons . She check it right away if it is available and all 3 were available. She just told us if we can wait for her to finish her line. We said it's ok. We saw her coming with a smile on her face even though they were so busy. She put some helium in the balloons and before we go she still gave us a good smile. How I wish all employees are like her. I'm so disgusted with this establishment. My two nieces walked into the store and soon as they entered an employee by the name of CeCe said that they couldn't enter the store because they steal. This was total discrimination!!! I called later and spoke with the Manager named Marine and she stated that she removed some candy from a backpack and mind you they didn't even make it down the candy aisle to put anything in there backpack. I usually come to this store because it is very close to my home. I went there yesterday and was greeted with a somber "welcome to dollar tree". I got what I needed and paid and left. I went this morning and the cashier said "Welcome to dollar tree" in a voice of someone who had to use their last breath. I walked around the store and got the items I was looking for and went to the register. I seen the cashier with another lady counting mylar balloon and the cashier looked at me and proceeded to talk to the other lady in Spanish. I looked around and another customer came up in line waiting and then just walked away. The cashier then takes the balloons and starts to fill one up when I said to my daughter, I guess that lady wants balloons. Just then the cashier comes up to her register and tells the lady to go in front of me and starts to ring her up. I look at the cashier and she tells another employee that just walked out that its 13 balloons and then takes the lady's money. the lady then walks away . when the cashier starts to ring me up I glanced at her badge and it said Darlina or at least Darl because it got covered up by her apron. She was very rude, told me there was no cash back (not that I was asking) and rang up my items. I paid and she handed me my receipt. I said have a nice day and no response from her. A word of advice.....If you dont want to work, then quit. If you want to work then I suggest employees here learn customer service and smile even if you have to fake it. I get better service and smiles at other Dollar Tree stores that I will now take the extra miles to go to because this one in Bellflower needs work. They'd be fine working for a mortuary as they are all somber and lack any energy. read more
