Dollar tree at the lakewood mall. Extremely convenient for location and great selections shelves are almost empty but never enough staff. here at 4pm on a Tuesday and there are at LEAST 30 people in line behind me with only one cashier open and no one else on the floor. no call for backup probably because no one else is here ? Definitely concerning for safety as well. read more

9/25/24 Killing time before the pharmacy at CVS opens, there's always time to browse. This Dollar Tree is in the Lakewood Center Mall lot (Candlewood & Graywood). We passed by it on our way to Costco countless times. Glad I stopped by coz I found some neat storage bins to help organize the pantry items, maybe even for my crafts. Perhaps it's early in the day but it appears to be in good order. Usually places like these would have stuff on the floor or in shambles but this is a pleasant surprise. The stickers are a bit limited, nothing really interesting. Halloween, Thanksgiving, & Christmas items are already on display. I notice there are a numerous amount of snacks for sale here. Most items are priced at $1.25. Cashier was efficient. I hope the storage items will at least last a few years without breaking down. Overall it was a good visit. read more

When I tell you, Kim was working with only one register, she was a trooper. Seriously at 9pm, there was a rush with plenty of youth eager to get to the movies. I never seen so many people waiting in line, but Kim took everybody with respect and courtesy. I want to thank her for being so polite and fast. Other people can concur. Lots of options and $1.25 for almost everything. Good for cards, gift bags, home items, etc. the one drawback is the long lines. 4 potential registers, but when I come only 1 is open and line runs halfway to back of the store before a second one is opened. 1.25 and up now lol but still has a lot of good items for cheap that you can use. I often come for kitchen items, party supplies, cards for special occasions, candy, cleaning supplies and craft projects items. They usually have what I need which I like! The lines though can be long with only one or two cashiers open. They always keep up with whatever season and holiday there is as well. The parking is plenty. The staff is usually pretty friendly. Today I just got a small stuffed animal and get well card for a family member and also a couple candies all for $4.28. read more

Line to the back of the store only one person on the register the other person in the store never came to assist her. The person who never came to assist is Kimmie. African American Manager has very bad customer service all I was doing was exchanging an item she claims that package I was returning was slightly open and she wont return them but I bought spoons and forks and spatulas before and they don't even come in plastic and not sealed at all but you can return those with no problem She claims she will not return the item that is not even opened I think she made this rule on her own It is not a rule stated nowhere on the dollar tree website and I have my receipt She then realized I was buying alot of items then she changed her mood but even tho definitely not coming back to this store if this manager works here read more

TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT. I just left this location moments ago and the management left a line full of people and went into the office and did not communicate anything to them. It was simple as give us a couple of minutes or shift people into different lines. They didn't do that all of the customers looked perplexed do better or get another job!!!!!!! I was just at the store this morning 8/22/23 approx. 11am The young lady working the register was very nice and helpful however she seemed to be very sick. Coughing and sneezing and needing to step away from the register meanwhile the line was getting longer and longer There were no other workers or management. This poor cashier was obviously sick and doing all the work by herself(it's not her fault) Meanwhile Covid numbers are spiking agin in this area Dollar Tree Corporate. Do better!!! Decided to come by to check out what they had. Parked right in front so it was easy to hop out and hop in. I was able to find what I needed and get on my way. The cashier was super nice and I recognized her from before so it's good to see her again and she had a great conversation and made the transaction super smooth. read more

Went to this Dollar Tree for the first time today. I was super surprised how neat and tidy the store was and I was able to browse through the store in sections without stepping over stuff and sorting through a pile of miscellaneous stuff. Love the store but the sales person who just helped me was super rude and irritated she had to repeat herself. I asked about a balloon and she rudely said ha when I'm done ringing you up. Then when she was done ringing me up she headed to the balloons without saying anything and said we don't have this this this reason g me the numbers so fast I couldn't see what she was talking about. Then got an attitude then I asked about a number . When I picked dry balloon she was huffing and puffing at check out. This Dollar Tree is very clean. It has a variety of stuff from party decorations to snacks/candies to home essentials. I always come here to buy my hair combs because it's cheap and the quality is usable. I also come to buy Birthday balloons or graduation balloons or party decorations. Compared to other Dollar Trees I've been to, this one is pretty big and a lot more things. read more

My grandma and I came into this dollar tree to get some Christmas bags and gift cards. After waiting in line for about 15 minutes the cashier, Anissa or whatever the hell her name is, starts to ring us up. She asks my grandma if she wants a bag and my grandma proceeds to ask if they cost money. Anissa responds "uhh.. yeah?" With attitude, my grandma isnt from California, so there was no need to respond with attitude over something she didn't know. At this point I've yawned maybe 3-4 times since I am tired (none of your business why I am tired) she proceeds to look at me and say "you're yawning right in my face can you cover your mouth? " excuse me? Mind you we had about 4 feet in between us and not once did I directly look towards her and yawn I turned every time. She also had a mask on. Bitch your face is literally covered? Go find another job or as a matter of fact dollar store fire her ass, she is horrible with customers and has the attitude of a chihuahua. Why is it that dollar tree managers always feel like it's okay to take their lunches even and never have coverage! Why do they leave their team members hanging on the floor with no cashier coverage?! One cashier! No one else on the floor! 2 employees in the entire store that's it!? And you think it's okay to take your lunch?! This dollar tree is good, I've only had one not-very-pleasant experience with a cashier, but I would be miserable too if I had to deal with all of the rude people that come in here and treat the employees like crap. It's always well stocked but it's a small store so they don't have that many cleaning supplies, I don't mind though. I can usually find what I need here. read more

Staff is generally condescending. Educating me on the proper way to pull items from the shelfs or how I am suppose to place items on the conveyer. I better shopping for decades with no issues, why does this teenage from Dollar Tree need to scold me on to do it their way. Marisol the manager there is the rudest salesperson or whatever she is. I told her that she was being rude to a fellow associate in front of customers. So I told her she was being rude to the employee and she replies to me " I wasn't talking to you". She's lucky I'm not her boss cause she would be fired. Oh my goodness! Everything is one dollar. Everything! I went in maybe for one or two items and I walked out with about 50. Even stuff I did not need. Why would anybody go anywhere else? This store is absolutely awesome. It is huge! The only drag was there was one cashier with about 12 people in line. So staffing is an issue here. They have the coolest stuff. Forget Amazon! Buy here. I just wish this Store was a little bit closer to me. But with these prices, no problem at jumping in the car and going shopping! Love the store. read more

I called this location about 5 minutes before they opened to inquire if they had a certain item in stock. The associate, Rita immediately said no. I replied, "ok" and inquired about another item. She said, "I'm really busy right now" and I was shocked. She then decided to hang up on me. I called back, someone picked up and hung up. Called back again...busy. Called back one more time and Rita answers. I said "Hi, you hung up on me..is this really customer service to you?" She said, "sorry about that I was busy and I didn't want to sit here and go back and forth arguing with you." I then asked for her manager/supervisor. She passes me into Leslie who apologized (but didn't seem genuine) I then inquired about the items I wanted...and guess what? She said she had them. Hello RITA! He insisted he needed to drop it, and I asked him to be careful. He had an angry expression and was wearing earbuds, suggesting he might have anger management issues. After scanning my items, I requested a bag. He gave me a glare, and I would recommend someone talk to him. It's clear he has some issues. This was my first negative experience here.
