I saw it driving one day, and decided to check them out…read more This place has EVERYTHING. It looks small from the outside, but it's big inside. They carry everything you need. Household goods, kitchenware, arts and crafts, school supplies, party supplies, hardware supplies, tools, food and snacks, cleaning products, etc. Although they have tons of items, there's a few things they need to correct here. Items that are not tagged can be tricky. The cashier can charge you at any price on the spot and you wouldn't know unless you ask. What looks like a dollar can be more. Inflation and tariffs are definitely hurting the pocket. You also can't go back inside once you've paid. If you bought something already and checked out, you can't go back inside unless you leave your items up front. Maybe they've had issues with theft before or miscommunications with items. The cashier was friendly however, she was nice about it. Just strange practices but I get it, it's a small business and people probably steal here. EDIT: Came back here again shortly after. Cashier Julie was not nice and needs to be more friendly. Different cashier than the first one. She's a F!l!p!no lady. Kind of snooty and arrogant. Didn't smile nor said hello. When I spoke to her in Tagalog, she acted like she didn't hear me and responded back in English. The other guys that stock here are nice however. We needed an empty box to put all our stuff in but he took it from us to bring it up to the front before we can use it. This small store is a bit strict.

BUYERS BEWARE. CASH ONLY for $1 Wednesdays. This is new. They never did this before until now. Not…read moresure if it's only today 10/14/26 but the owners were there handling all the cash. Didn't even bother to have a sign out the door. Didn't announce anything online either. Just a small sign that says "Cash Only" on a cardboard by the register. Once I got all my items and was ready to pay, they told me cash only. It wasted a lot of my time having to leave and get cash from the bank. Good thing I live in the area. You would want to question why it's cash only for an establishment that sells big volume like this. The owners know $1 Wednesdays rake in tons of cash. This is their strongest day out of the week. Why would they not take card as payment? One should really wonder if the owners are really claiming all this on their taxes because cash only has no trace. This time around it wasn't the other workers cashing either. It was the owners and they powered-through the line so fast. They make tons of money here. Also, this time around, they took out half of the bins. It was only a small section of the floor that they opened up and the other half of the room was closed off. Only a small portion of the bins was open and there were tons of people with minimal space/room. Hungry scavengers rudely pulling and yanking items in front of your face with no common decency or courtesy. Just rude old folks throwing stuff around and pushing through you. Just hungry scavengers. I took what I got and left. The male owner is a creep also. I caught him looking a lot of times and when he cashed me out on two separate occasions, he made some side comments and tried to give me free stuff..he was creepy as heck. Quality has certainly gone down. This location used to have really good items. Like the good stuff from big retailers. Now they have pallets of junk they bought from auction with the same repetitive stuff. Stuff they sell on Mondays, can repeat all the way down to the $1 Wednesdays. That is why Wednesdays are always so packed. They don't really clean up the bins either. It's dirty, messy, and cluttered. Be careful not to cut yourself because I've seen broken glass in the bins before but they don't care to look through them and clean it out. It's the same repetitive items the entire week. They try to squeeze every little dollar with the same items throughout the week. It only changes once they replenish it again. Empty cartons, opened and ripped up items, packaging all torn, pieces missing. Most of everything is garbage and trash and I'm surprised people buy them just because they're $1.

I had brought a ton of baby seats and the guy kindly explained to me why he couldn't take them, but then also offered other ways I could try and get rid of them. Typically at other donation centers you're rudely told they can't take them. That didn't happen here and I really appreciated the way he handled it! I also can't get over the fact that you get a 20% off coupon for donating items. You do have to dig to find items, but once you find something you truly fall in love with it and it's at a pretty epic price. Savers is now a really fun part of my self-care routine :-)

Seeing as I didn't catch his name, I hope this review helps in identifying him because he was great. However, their prices are... not good, usually. Sometimes they're great, of course. And other times I'm looking at a Dollar Tree item that's marked as $7 when I know for a fact it was $1 originally. Their clothes are similar in price to items--which aren't thrifted, mind you--at Ross or Marshall's. It's a for-profit corporation and the prices show.

I think these stores tend to go into poorer areas for people that can grab and go and not spend too much. We were fine and I will go back there, just be smart. Poor does not mean sketchy, drunks and drug addicts do and these types tend to take advantage in poor areas. The outside is pretty clean, they just need a few more lights at night. Inside the place is also in decent shape. There is a lot of stuff in there and it is not a large store, but the employees keep it as tidy as they can. I had no trouble finding what I wanted. I was with my grandson, as always, as he loved going up and down each aisle and picking out treats and snacks. They have a lot of Little Debbie products which I think are awful, but he likes them, so what do I know. He also found a doll he wanted. Now, just because this is a budget store does not mean things are great prices. I am positive I could have gotten this plastic doll for about 2 dollars, it was 10$ which is outrageous for this doll, so beware of that. I bought it anyway, because he really wanted it and I can do that, but if I was on a tight budget I would not shop here. They have some cute stuff and some stuff you might not find elsewhere. It was a fun excursion. The service was super nice and I am grateful for that. They were just really nice. Have fun.
