Plus a Crocs with a huge selection of charms and themed shoes inspired by movies and popular culture. The other department store is Macy's, a more upscale looking one. The Nordstrom jewelry salespeople do a great job of continuing to chat in a large group as customers shop. The handbag associate on the other hand was excellent and helpful. I also was surprised to see Aeropostale and Cotton On. I thought the former had gone out of business. My only complaint is the food court. Why is it tucked away in a corner down a separate wing? And I wish the crepe place also made savory ones.

The value of anything sold here really depends on where you choose to shop. There are stores that can be costly and some more affordable. They have an Apple and Samsung store located inside as well. The Hangar is the spot of the former Boeing-McDonnell Douglas airport assembly plant and I found it so cool, that Long Beach Exchange maintained the aerospace vibes. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with vintage style airport arrival/departure boards displaying the names of the vendors. I also loved checking out the different food vendors here. I got to check out the new Paranas Empanadas inside the Hangar as well as the new Mixed Burgers and Bowls outside. I also found it fun to see a Popmart Robo Shop as well as the new Vibe of the Moment Studios. I can't believe it has taken me this long to check out Long Beach Exchange! The variety of dining options is my favorite thing about this mall. Throughout the mall there are plenty of drink spots and dessert cafés. I honestly haven't even had the chance to try every restaurant yet because there are so many options. There are many Korean beauty stores, home goods, K-pop merch, clothing boutiques, and other unique stores that are fun to explore. It was one of the nice malls growing up that was nearby. Now, it's somewhat similar from what I remembered. Give or take some of the major departments stores are gone and replaced by a major chain store. You still have all the little mom and pop shops. Then the classic retailers. Loads of stores that I loved growing up have vanished. Either out of business or relocated. Department stores like Macys and JC Pennys are still there but nothing major. I don't even know what the food court is like as we didn't even venture that far. I had to return something and they had a store here. A smaller store but still. Plenty of parking as the space is massive. Mall is decent size but nothing crazy big. It's the neighborhood mall that I feel like it'll be there for many more years to come.

I had this conversation with my boyfriend and only the real ones will know but this aged and dated…read moremall is if the Puente Hills mall was forced onto life support by the sheer will of the community around it. I went here during a Friday evening parking lot pop up event and I have been here in the past prior to COVID and got the same eugh vibes. I'm not sure how a mall that has a Target, Book Off, and Round 1 was able to incite these negative ASMR feelings. At the very least there's still a food court and a good number of shops, but it does look old. Parking lot was absolutely fisted, probably due to the event and potentially because there might not be that much to do in that area or in terms of shopping opportunities. AC was not that great throughout the mall. Like for a couple shops we could feel it blast through, other ones felt like you were in the sauna. The main mall area connecting all of the shops just felt like a murky, muggy hotter than room temperature feeling. I wanted to get out ASAP. Also knowing Yelp's ToS, this review would get removed if I was 100% frank with the clientele that frequent this mall, but it says a lot if a subpar mall was able to be forced into existence from the community. Had a dude tell us to "get TF out of the way" and call us blind (thinking we cannot speak English AND being extremely ableist). You could have simply used your manners and said "excuse me", but that's beyond some. Some of the grossest restrooms I've been to too. I'm not sure how a dead mall like the Puente Hills one is better than this one.
