So long, 99 Cents Only Store. Hello, Dollar Tree!
There used to be a Dollar Tree across the street, when this location was still The 99 Cents Only Store. Unfortunately, it caught fire and was a complete loss. Fast forward several years, and The 99 Cents Only Stores go out of business, and Dollar Tree plants their flag into their closed stores, including this one. Dollar Tree wins the dollar game.
Having said all that, I prefer the layout of the The 99 Cents Only Store. Of course, no one should expect a Nordstroms atmosphere, but I feel the Dollar Tree is just more bland & uninviting. Emphasis on getting product out there, without any thought on appeal or customer experience.
My usual visit is for toothpaste and what not, and the employees have been helpful & quick, when checking out. Parking is via a private lot. Dollar Tree is located in-between Artesia City Plaza & GOGI KBBQ.
Dollar Tree fills the need for household items and whatnot, and with soaring prices everywhere, can be a lifesaver for those experiencing troubling times. While I have fond memories of the 99 Cents Only Store, those days are gone and Dollar Tree fills the void, if not completely. read more
