BEWARE!! NEW OWNERSHIP! I have been taking my dogs here since I moved to Arizona and we never had any issues until now. We have two Rottweilers and we brought them in for their grooming. My husband heard the staff whispering about our dog and apparently we were told that they have an incident noted which we were NEVER told about! Extremely unprofessional in not disclosing this to us. Took my two large older dogs there today who haven't had a proper grooming since the beginning of quarantine. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome! The staff was very friendly and the owner was really knowledgeable. My dogs looked great and I feel like they were really taken care of by staff. These people care! PLEASE READ! Took my puppy, Nikkabella, hear to get her nails cut. While I was trying to get in her through the door, she got out of her harness and started running around the parking lot and then all around 7th street . I literally had a breakdown trying to get her back. The staff here though were trying to get her and even were running down 7th street and the neighborhood. She eventually went back to the parking lot. I was too afraid to run after her and the owner sat with me in the parking lot with eyes on Nikkabella, until my mom (her grandma) arrived who Nikkabella absolutely loves. When my mom got there, Nikkabella jumped right in my mom's car and the owner helped get her back on the collar and leash. I cannot be grateful enough for the entire staff who helped get her back. I've taking my dog to Doggy Daze since they opened and have always received great service. That is, until the business was sold. I now question how much training the groomers actually have. The last time I took my boy to get groomed he had a couple big issues come up. A couple days after his grooming I noticed that his anal glands were swollen and his tail had been cut so close it developed an infection and his tail was left with large clumps of hair that I had to cut off. I had to take him to the vet and they expressed his glands. His tail has healed but it's going to take a while for the hair to grow back. I won't be returning. read more

We have gome here for a few years, but since this store has changed ownership it has not been great. I cancelled all my future bookings after my Husband said he was spoken to by 3 different techs when picking up dogs at our last groom who all had no idea what they were doing. They all said they were going to look for our pet but disappeared. When our dog was finally brought out the tech said "you know your dog peed blood". To my husbands shock as no one had called us to let us know. She told him like she was disgusted with us and it was his fault. (We later found out she has bladder stones and are working on that with her). I went in a week later and cancelled future appoointments as my husband said he didnt want to go here anymore. Now we decided to try again, out of not wanting to stray to far from our comfort zone. But Ive been standing outside the door now for 10 minutes after knocking and waiting to no answer it's supossed to be open til 4pm but no one is here and no sorry for closing early sign is on the door. Second bad experience here, it's too bad but we're looking for another groomer. They gotten so busy that the attention to detail is just not the same, not to mention their turnover, seems like a new counter person every time we go in. They've also not put our dogs with the same groomer so each time it's someone different and our Golden Doodle has had a bad time the last three trips. Our other dog does better but they didn't give him the summer cut we asked for, they said the notes just said "clean him up," I specifically asked for summer cuts for both dogs. Man, what service!!! Sean will make you and your pet feel so special! His service is OUTSTANDING! My Luna got squeaky clean, not to mention all the importance parts... ears, nails, dew claws, and the unmentionable..."anal glands!" All these items were being missed at her previous groomers. You don't even need an appointment, if your fur babies just need a bath, and blow out! Just stop by, drop off your pet, return in about an hour for a soft, clean, and happy baby! They have appointments for a full groom as well. They also have the option of self service, if you want to do all the work, and not mess your own bathroom up, stop by and use their supplies, for a small fee! I am very disappointed of doggy daze. I used to love bringing my puppy here for a VIP treatment but today it wasn't a VIP. I usually trust my puppy to be taken care of by doggy daze, after today not any more. When I went to pick up my dog from the groomers, they had told me that my puppy was involved in an incident. The lady had advised me that she got scared of the blow drier and she had jumped off of the table and got her nail stuck into something. So many questions? 1.Why wasn't she secured properly? 2. Who was attending her while she was scared. 3. How did her nail get stuck exactly? I don't believe any of it happening the way they told me. we bathe and blow dry our dog all the time and she doesn't mind being blow dried at all. I just find it odd with this story I was told. Just lack of training is the end result of this happening at all! Well the result was a bloody nail being cut the wrong way. They did stopped the bleeding. The groomer gave me some medicine to take home for her nail. After further investigating her and looking into how bad the damage was. I called doggy daze and asked them for a refund. I understand accident's may happen but will not pay to have my dog hurt under your supervision. Very disappointed. Sent an email to GM waiting to hear back to get reimbursed! read more

When business hours are stated until 6pm, don't tell a customer at 5pm that you're "closed" and won't wash my dogs. It's not my responsibility as a customer that some of your groomers have left for the day, or that they've already cleaned up. Your entire staff was standing around doing nothing. We have taken our pups to many grooming places. We have tried independant ones and over the past couple years used Petsmart. We decided to try Doggie Daze when we read the reviews. We have a Terrier, Taffy, that is a rescue and bit shy to strangers, in particular men. We got to the shop and (Sean?) sat down on a chair and slowly let her warm up to him. He then had me hand over her to him to let the Taffy know I was giving permission to be with the groomer. WOW!!! It showed that they care more about the pet than a "hurry up and cut" places. The dogs are also kept outside of a cage. That was amazing. It was the same price as any other place but the experience was top notch. The next week we brought our Havanese in to get trimmed up. This is worth all the stars. read more

Love them! Sully, I think he loves them too lol ... he's not a fan of bathing even when I do it but he tolerates it quietly. They stay true to appointment times (usually an hour and a half). When I pick Sully up, he's always soooooo clean and his hair cut is perfect. His tail wags a little more and usually have a little more pep in his step. It's cute! During my last visit I met a really nice lady that's been going to Doggy Daze since they were at a different location. She's been a customer for years. My husband works for yelp and he knows just by the reviews (and even from the few amount of upset customers) and ratings that the owner and the staff are the most genuine and the most knowledgeable people. I would just like to add that we read the feedback from the staff on reviews and they thoroughly explain every step they do AND they are factual) Every time we have been there, each staff member has been so helpful and has given us new advice for our puppy goldendoodle. Also I have never made an appointment, and Lulu gets treatment right away! I've never had a problem with her nails cut too short or ear cleaning or anything really. This time I got a new groomer who said my dog had a small mat on her chest and they charged an extra $10.00. I brush my dog daily. I brushed her before I took her in and she was not matted. I tried to talk to the manager and she ignored my claim. She said she had to trust her groomer.( who definitely doesn't know how to groom eyebrows on a schnauzer) I tried to talk to the groomer but he was too busy to come talk with me, so I never got a explanation of what a small mat was. Outstanding!!! We brought our baby here for her very first grooming. I was nervous and felt like a parent dropping my kid off at preschool for the first time. I was creeping through the window at her to see if she was making friends. The staff was so caring and patient with her, even though she had an accident. This has to be the kindest pet grooming spot in AZ! I just love the guys here. You are always greeted enthusiastically with a smile and a treat (for the dogs!). It's also a great spot to buy food and treats for your pups. I buy Fromm food for my two babies and the price here is the lowest I have seen. They also have a wide variety of treats, leashes, harnesses, etc. You do not need an appointment for nail trims and it is so convenient to swing by with my pups to get their nails cut and dremmeled. They also reserve two parking spots in front of the store so that when you are dropping your pets off, they don't need to walk on the hot pavement. I have to say we were a little apprehensive about getting our 7 month old Sheepadoodle his first full groom. Doggy Daze is in the neighborhood and was both recommended by an acquaintance and has awesome Yelp reviews. I called ahead and made an appointment and told them about our nervousness with this first groom. Sean assured me that they do a lot of doodles and wouldn't Poodle my Doodle which made me feel more comfortable. On the day of the appointment we took in some pictures and explained what we wanted done. They made some suggestions and we agreed and walked out hoping for the best. When we returned to get him Sean informed me that they had to cut his head a little shorter because he looked like a "bobble-head" the way we wanted it done. Let's just say they made a good decision on that because his cut was awesome and my Doodle got a Doodle cut not a Poodle cut. Could not be happier, the whole process took a little over two hours and the staff was nice and wanted to make sure we were happy with the results which we were. Wow. I cannot recommend this place enough. They will groom ANY dog despite what you might think is a behavioral issue. In the past, other groomers have said they would not groom my Corgi unless he was sedated, due to him being defensive and getting snippy sometimes. I hated the idea of doping up my elderly dog just so he could get a haircut. Doggy Daze told me they would never ask me to do that to my dog and they could handle his nervous/defensive behavior. I expected a phone call from them letting me know he was misbehaving but no, when I went to pick him up they said he was a little nervous at first but did really well. As I was waiting for him to be done I saw another dog getting groomed in the back room. The dog started whining so one employee was petting his head and singing to him while the other brushed him. The staff here really goes ABOVE AND BEYOND and gets creative to get the job done. They really know how to treat dogs, even the difficult ones. I will never take my dog anywhere else to be groomed. The staff here cares about the well-being of all the dogs. Wish I could give them 10 stars! read more
