Dog Haus is my go to when I just want to get out. It's close to home, I like their tots and sliders and I love that one strawberry sour cocktail. They're perfectly made, a little sweet, & the strawberry flavor is delicious. I did order their tots. I got their Southwest version. Although it's not on the menu, they hook me up with it. Comes with cheese sauce pickled jalapeños and slices of avocado. Just love them. When I come here I usually sit at the bar. Rea, is such a Doll, she always checks in on me, asking if I need another drink, or anything off the menu if I haven't ordered anything yet. She's very attentive to everyone around the bar. Haven't been here in awhile and we decided to give a try before going out for live music. There was one staff member working the bar, the front register and running food. So waiting to get a drink to awhile while sitting at the bar. People were standing in line about 8 people to order and the kitchen hitting some bell for her to run food. We ordered a beer and food, the tots were cold, the mutha cluck sandwich was inconsistent with temperature and chicken was dry. He had the burrito and the bacon were small pieces that were super hard and pulled on side of the burrito but temperature was good. The food was just blah, nothing to brag about. The beer tasted funny (like sour taste) and it wasn't just one type of beer it was several. They had a man sitting up to play for live music., he played well but it was loud so hard to hear him if you are back of restaurant. Don't think we will be back anytime soon since the time before wasn't that good either. Hope the girl who was work the front, bar and running food gets paid for 3 peoples job. So came across this while driving and decided I wanted to try it. It's a cute little spot and the pictures looked so good and let me say that they do not disappoint. The food was delicious and large portions. They also had a small selection of liquors and beers to enjoy with your food. The staff was so nice and definitely knew what to Recommend according to what you were craving. We got the chicken sandwich Nashville style and let me tell you right now. It was so spicy. I did not expect it to be that spicy because of the Cajun style they use. So if you can handle spice, definitely grab it because it was delicious. just very spicy. Went two days ago, bartender was drinking on the job with a customer. She wasn't paying attention at all. Ordered another drink and I had to ask her for it because she forgot.. then she ended up charging $50 on my card and refunded it. Not once.. twice this happened at same time. When you consider what you are getting here, most of the items are overpriced. Going to get that out of the way, but I try not to let price affect a review too much. I had the Big D, Cowboy, and a slider. The Cowboy uses a basic hot dog which is an extremely hard sell for me, personally. Most hot dogs taste the same so it comes up to bun and topping choice but even when you dress up a basic hot dog, that flavor still shines through and it makes me wish I had just mad a basic dog at home. Big D, however, uses a delicious sausage. Finding good sausage takes some effort, but not here. EXCELLENT sausage with some pretty good toppings which made this dog perfect for me. I'd absolutely get any of the sausage-based dogs here. Sliders had a smash style of cooking to them and tasted absolutely delicious. Angus beef is always a winner to me and these sliders used angus beef, I believe. Highly recommend either the sausage or a burger here. I would get a full-sized burger here. First time trying Dog Haus and I must say the food was pretty delicious. When we entered the establishment there was only 1 waiter running the whole restaurant. He was taking orders and bringing food out for people. It looked like there was only 1 cook in the back making food because the order took a pretty long time to come out. I think it was about 45 mins but we understood they were severely understaffed. We had ordered: Made it a double- the ringer, Chili cheese fries, made it a double- The hangover, and Chili the kid hot dog. My favorite was surprisingly the chili the kid hot dog and chili cheese fries. The burgers were ok. The meat was really over cooked and crispy dried. I think we should have gotten just a 1 patty instead of 2 because it made the burger quite a bit to eat. Would I recommend this place? Yes but I would go to a different location than this one. They had quite a few of different beers I think will be nice to have a cold one while enjoying a delicious hot dog and chili cheese fries. :) read more

My son loves the food at this place and we have got to go food for him from here many times. My wife and I decided to go in for a beer this time. The list of beers is long and I am sure everybody will find something they like but the rub was that the day we went in last Friday, They were out of the first 3 choices for my wife. She finally found something she was happy with so it was ok. I've been there four or five times. It's a friendly little place where you can get a beer and a dog or burger and set a spell. When you enter they have a screen where you can just order, but the interface is poorly designed and most people cannot use it, so they usually have a helpful employee standing by to take your order there and ignore the self order screen. Have occasionally ordered from here over the last couple years and the struggle has been real whenever there are any modifications to my order. I try to occasionally give it another chance because it's a close spot to grab decent protein fix on the go! 9 times out of 10 a lettuce wrapped burger with an additional patty seems like a stretch request. The most recent time I received 3 individually packed, single burger patties wrapped in lettuce (instead of 1 burger). It was a step above receiving a double cheeseburger with a mountain of shredded lettuce sitting on top. Just always leaves me wondering where the gap is in creating a burger with the least amount of ingredients. It's hit or miss that it'll make it in the burger if I get add-ons, like avocado. Food is generally okay if you don't stray from what's standardized on the menu; fries tend to be *salted*. Service experience has been generally warm and friendly. read more

It took a few times passing the Dog Haus Biergarten before I decided to come in. Since I have it is now become my "go to" for delectable, tasty food and sports! The Dog Haus Biergarten is such a unique establishment, with exotic hotdogs, sausage dogs, burgers, burritos, tater tots, and so much more! We like to order different items each time we come in and share everything because we don't want to miss out on how delicious the food is here. The atmosphere makes it even better. The bartenders are so personable and fun. They keep me coming back because how well I'm treated here. Each time I come in I seem to meet new friends and visit with newly made friends. They also have "Music Bingo Thursday nights, where everyone joins in and sings along with the songs! Friday nights is "Trivia night both challenging and entertaining. It's now become an establishment I frequent often. I recently mentioned how I love beer cheese and how good it is with pretzels. Well the next week I came in and they had samples of it and they put it on the menu. I couldn't believe it, not only did they have beer cheese, but they had cinnamon zip to try with pretzels that was so savory. Its nice to have a brat and dog place that isnt too far away and the staff are pretty decent folks. They so seem to do their best to get you what you want. But, over the years things just dont seem to work out when I'm ordering here. Want a milkshake? Sorry out. No onions on your order? No problem we'll give you extra onions. Also, Ive been overlooking that the brats are a little bit under cooked for me. They are 'technically' done maybe but a good brat would be blistering and bursting open at the seams. Here though its no where near that point. Now I could finish them at home but that defeats the purpose of even coming out to a brat place. Honestly, I still think people should go here as many will enjoy it, but be aware that its midstream at best and I cant say they are worth the price. read more

We've ordered to go food from here previously and it was always super good. My husband and I went a few weeks ago because I wanted to see it in person versus eating takeaway. We both ordered burgers this time rather than our usual bratwurst, and the burgers were delicious. Super juicy and on toasted Hawaiian rolls rather than regular buns. The beer selection was pretty great. But do yourself a favor and do not order their margarita. It's made with sweet and sour bar mix and it's the definition of terrible. I walked in yesterday, Saturday 2/3 around 7:30pm. There were only 4 other customers in the business(should've been a warning). Two employees at the register looked at me and my wife as we waked in. We took a seat at the bar. We continued to sit there while the 2 employees socialized at the register. I saw them look at us a couple times but didn't even greet us. 10 minutes went by and not one employee acknowledged us. I finally interrupted the 2 employees asking if there was a bartender-one of the employees repeated "bartender" and started looking around, underneath the bar etc.....Seriously.....He finally said can I get you a drink. At this point I wanted to leave. Didn't feel welcomed and the atmosphere was dull. I didn't want to give this business my hard earned money. I told the employee-never mind as we got up and walked out. I've been wanting to try this place-food and drinks. I live close to the new location in Cedar Park and it was on my list of businesses to try. I just happened to be closer to the FM 620 location on this day. Well now I'm not interested in trying the new location. This was a turnoff. The 2 employees at the front door represent this establishment. The employees(male and female) couldn't care less about this business and or customer service. Also-Saturday night-4 customers, that's not a recipe for success. I would suggest a manager on duty to assure the employees are doing their job. Such a shame because I was looking forward to a dog and a beer. I've attached some photos of my perspective. I discovered Dog Haus in Long Beach, CA and loved them so much I gave that location 5 stars and was super excited when they first came to Four Points in Austin. After the initial excitement I realized paying so much for a hotdog is one thing when you are on vacation in California and another thing in your home town on a random afternoon. I always get the Sooo Cali and it's a delicious hotdog complete with a nice bit of spice and crunch from the fried onions on top. The sweet potato fries are the best I have had. But at $17 for those with a fountain drink it's a bit steep. I do see that they have a $12 special for a dog, tots or fries, and a fountain drink although I don't know if they charge extra for sweet potato fries. Oddly on my most recent visit they put the hotdog and fries together on a small plate when I the past they have put them on a larger plate. It seems like a small thing but it was annoying to have my toppings slide off my hot dog onto .y sweet potato fries. The other big difference is the atmosphere. Both have dark wood tables and a variety of table heights which I always appreciate. This location has great big windows for two of the walls and mirrors on a third which reflect all that light from outside. Mid-afternoon the light from outside combined with the dark decor at this location is very rough on the eyes and makes it hard to see the people around you. The restaurant also has very high ceilings which makes it really loud. There is a small outdoor area but in the heat of summer it wasn't a reasonable seating alternative. The service has been fine. Some of the staff is super nice and others here seem indifferent. I found it interesting that one of their staff, perhaps the manager, has been stationed at the back table both the times I have been during the week and the weekend. I want to love the the Austin location as much as the Long Beach one but somethings are just better in California. read more

There was limited staff, so felt that we pretty much had to get our own food or order at the bar. Quite a few beers on tap. Minimal staff and they were friendly.
