Kind of expensive but the dogs are worth it, so many variations and pretty good quality hot dogs. It's close to my office so convenient.

Love the atmosphere and the tasty wieners! There is a very extensive menu! I got the Loaded Dog and my friend got the MacDaddy Dog. They were great and I we will definitely be back! read more

Every permutation of hot dog you can imagine -- Detroit, Chicago, New York, slaw, chili...on and on. Vegetarian dog option available. Batter- dipped fries. Soon to be serving beer. We enjoyed the standard grilled dogs -- nice and snappy - in Chicago and " mega" versions - and also a special bleu cheese dip for the fries. Very friendly counter staff. Lots of outlets for elwctronics. The only negative we have about the place is location; it's on a busy street, with only a tiny lot. (There's a puic lot kitty- corner, but requires a trek.) It's also set back in a way that makes it hard to find if you're not a local. read more

The food and service here are wonderful. What's up with your hours though? Google shows 12am-12pm, Yelp says -8pm, I show up for food at 3pm and you're closed? read more

Great hot dogs! I had the Macdaddy dog. The one with Mac n' Cheese and bacon. It was delicious. My girlfriend had the popper dog and loved it. The fries here are amazing, and you get a lot of them. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. I'll be back for sure! read more

This place is awesome! So many things to try and in so many combinations! For a foodie like me, variety is the spice of life and this place will keep me interested for a long while. Shame they are closed on Sundays though... weekends would be the time to go to a business like this. read more

Tired of a regular hot dog or chili dog. Don't worry dog centrals got the hook up. Creativity is the key to there success. people want different and they have it. Nice guys in there, service is great, food is great. But the pricing not going to nag to much but even though it is a very good dog little pricey but overall I give it a 4/5. read more

Really appreciated the quality of the dogs and the fact that my bun didn't fall apart with all of the toppings. I got the Pauly Dog (standard favorite toppings--chilli, ketchup, mustard, and pickles) and the fries are can't miss! Great stop for lunch while passing through on business! read more

Very reasonable prices. So many choices. The dogs are very tasty. The fries and onion rings are beer battered and fantastic. Great lunch spot. read more

CMU's best late night food stop. Great location & friendly staff that are always bumpin great tunes

First time going to Dog Central. I really appreciated that they had a wide selection of non-beef hot dogs. Their food is reasonably priced and I will come back when I am in town again. read more

One of our favorite lunch spots in Mt. Pleasant. So many hot dog choices! ( I am partial to the Chicago dog -- real deal, with all the things -- and the Slaw Dog. Great fries as well. Parking can be a challenge, but the effort is worth it. read more

I just gave a hotdog 5 stars! Actually I didn't but if I were only rating hotdogs I would give it top dog ratings. Grew up in Chicago so I've eaten many different hotdogs but could never find a decent dog in Michigan. This place would be iconic in Chicago. Great tasting custom recipe and produced exclusively for Dog Central by Dearborn. Not something you could buy at a store. Some of the combinations seem crazy but people were ordering every concoction on the menu. I recommend you try one simple to taste how truly good the dog is and another from the wilder side of the menu. Easy to get to if traveling 127. Can't understand why they haven't expanded throughout the state. If Chicago's Portillos can grow from a truck into a multi million dollar chain I can't see Dog Central not being able to do the same. read more

5 star if you love hot dogs. Had the Chicago and Detroit dogs. Nice char on the dog and Chicago was true to form, done true Chicago style including sport peppers, neon relish and celery salt. Detroit Dog was all meat chili and flavorful onions. Great find read more

Went for lunch today...wow what a surprise! Filthy tables and filthy napkin dispensers on every table. How do I know? Since we were only 3 of the 5 people in there, I decided to search for some napkins that weren't in a food smeared dispenser. I went to EVERY table...each dispenser more gross than the other. Literally covered in chili dog toppings. I thought about asking the young man who was making a half-hearted attempt at wiping down the tables but since I watched him skip all the dispensers in his vicinity, I just gave up. That's what it feels like happened here... they just gave up. Too tired? Let's skip cleaning today. Too hungover? We'll clean tomorrow. Too busy? Nah, three workers, 5 customers, I think they could find time to wipe things down. You know once you see something so disgusting that you can't stop looking? That was me! Once I looked around, I noticed the floors under the tables were freaking covered in dirt and food. The window sill next to our table had enough Fritos on it to feed an ant colony for a few decades. I forced myself to look only at our table as I was losing my appetite fast! Too late! I couldn't tell you if the dogs were good or not...appetite gone. So, unless the owner(s) seriously overhaul their cleaning procedures, I'm out. They need someone to give a crap and clean that place up!! read more

Dog Central - Napkin Holder...went to find a cleaner one...this is THE cleanest! - Hot Dogs Near Me - Mount Pleasant, Michigan

Delicious, great sauce, vast menu for types of dogs, clean, friendly, prices reasonable.

Great dogs for a great price! The fries are the best around! Don't be afraid to try the Goober Dog!

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! I highly recommend this place. This is a place to go to have some HIGH quality hot dogs at a really affordable price. on Tuesdays you can get any hot dog, fries(really good), and a drink for $5 bucks. they also have the new Coke Freestyle, so you can never worry about getting bored with the hundreds of drink choices. another plus is that they are open until 3:00AM on the weekends~great for late nights in downtown Mount Pleasant. Another great thing is the atmosphere and the employees are great. Most importantly, the fries are second to none. read more

Got a hot dog today at 1:30. Server at register kept sniffing and wiping his nose. Thought oh boy I should leave smelt like B.O. but thought I'll give the place a chance. After buying the dog he got gloves on at least. There were about 6 hot dogs on the grill I was hoping they weren't on there long. Yup. They were. Hot dog was like a plastic coated something or other. So that's my story. Not going back. read more

This is an interesting place, and they have lots of options to choose from. The hot dogs themselves are good, tasty and made well. However, the buns are just white and doughy. The toppings are flat and processed. The chili isn't really chili, it is beaf with gravy. If you want a basic hot dog, it would be ok. But, they need a lot of work on their toppings and buns if they want to be a great, or even good place. read more

Fast service and amazing food!!!! I love trying new hot dogs each time and the fries are unique and addicting.

Love the hot dogs! Great service, food, and hours! Tons of toppings to choose from and different dogs to try out!

Have eaten here twice now and find the food consistently good. Of course, you have to like hot dogs. If you do, you can find every kind under the sun here. I am partial to the Chicago dog. Parking can be a problem. We came once in the middle of the winter and the street was piled high with buckets of snow (plows had piled it up) but that is the only problem. read more

Dog Central has a large selection, quality toppings, and a nice atmosphere. Try the Frankie!

I've loved this place since it opened. They have to be doing something right, since there's a line out the door every night. Stopping by Dog Central is the perfect end to a night of bar-hopping in downtown Mt. Pleasant. read more

I loved Dog Central just went for my first time today! Both workers were very nice and willing to help. I got the MacDaddy Dog which was amazing. There are many different dogs to choose from and their ingredients and the hot dogs themselves are delicious! I will definitely be back in very soon! read more

Hm. Not good. The entire place is dirty, the kitchen and staff are dirty. The entire place is disorganized. I won't go back. The dogs are okay, and yes there are some cool and unusual things to try. But if cleanliness isn't a priority, how can the food be fresh? Too bad. read more

Likely the worst dining experience to date. Found several small pieces of sharp hard plastic throughout my Kraut dog. Called to notify them of this danger. Asked to speak with the manager. After waiting several minutes on hold was told that he was unavailable. Proceeded to tell person on phone about this problem. All that he said was oh so sorry about that thanks for calling and hung up. Did not even ask my name or a call back number. Other observations about Dog Central. The only greeting I received upon entering the establishment was that of what appeared to be 3 hung over college boys shuffling about. Not so much as a hello. They seen me standing there and did not bother to acknowledge me even though I was the only customer in the establishment. When waited on I could not ask questions because all I could hear in response was mumbling. Seen hot dogs on grill behind service counter. Appeared they had been sitting there for quite some time. Although I can not confirm this as I never had a nibble of my dog! Should have left at seeing this, but did not want to appear rude. (Go Figure on that one). The horrid service, and lack of concern for customers will ensure that this establishment does not last long. read more
