I have heard of their food from friends and happened upon them at an event in St. Johns. They served up a full menu of brisket, burnt ends, pork, ribs, and chicken. They also had an apple slaw and loaded mashed potatoes, along with their signature sauces. It was all delicious. I had their meats taco-style, one chicken and one pork with slaw and a spicy crema (sour cream). The meat was so smoky with a robust flavor that wasn't salty. The slaw and cream amplified the flavors of the meat, and didn't distract from it. Before leaving, I picked up a plate of what was left, chicken and burnt ends. My partner ate some last night after the drive home, and I just finished some (24 hours later). The flavor is still spot on, and the meat is still tender. The owners of this BBQ joint seem to love what they do. They do it very well. I can't wait to track them down again.

We just had a poor experience at another truck and this couple said they would turn the grill back on for us. They saved the day. They turned the evening around not only with kindness, but with great food too. They had some cool concepts and their versions of classic dishes. For example, their Bahn Mi sandwich isn't traditional, but who cares right? It was new, cool, fun, and tasty. Be sure to test out their yummy tacos and one of their hotdogs.
