Hello, Recently me and my grandkids went to this restaurant. As soon as we got there we were took to our tables and a very lovely waitress greeted us and got our orders. As soon as the food got there, my grandson started to eat his food, And not long after he said he didn't feel good and went to the bathroom. When he went into the bathroom he went into a stall and started to puke cause the food made him sick. Over all, my grandson got sick after eating, my other grandkids didn't eat there food cause they were in fear of getting sick, and the food tasted terrible. Very nice waitress she was a lovely woman and deserves to be in a better restaurant than that. read more

Fantastic fried shrimp, live music was perfectly soothing, sweet tea is excellent, I wasn't going to eat the cole slaw but I'm so happy I did! This place is very overhyped. The hostesses were rude and could care less that we were there. We dined here because we kept seeing the plane flying over the beach with their "Best Fried Shrimp In The Civilized World" banner behind it. We visited on a Tuesday around 7:00 p.m., and there was no wait. During our meal, only about four tables were occupied, so it was very quiet. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked on us frequently. The only odd part of the atmosphere was that cartoons were playing on the bar TVs even though there weren't any kids in the restaurant. For dinner, my husband ordered the surf and turf, and his steak was cooked perfectly. The baked potato, however, came with an overwhelming amount of melted cheese--enough for several potatoes. I ordered the blackened grouper. It was cooked well and had good flavor, but the fillet was very thin and wasn't as memorable as other grouper dishes I've had. The whipped sweet potatoes were sweeter than expected from the brown sugar, and the Brussels sprouts were heavily coated in a sweet balsamic glaze, leaving them soft instead of crispy. I think both sides would be better with less added sweetness to let the natural flavors shine. We finished with the Bananas Foster, which was delicious and a fun presentation. It came with three small scoops of vanilla ice cream and half a banana. Since the flaming presentation takes a little time, larger scoops of ice cream would hold up better and not be half melted by the time the fire goes out. We would come back to avoid wait at other restaurants but would try different side dishes next time.

We arrived around 5:00 p.m. with a party of five and were seated immediately with absolutely no wait. The real star of the evening, besides the food, was our server, Murphy. He was fun, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. He made great recommendations, took excellent care of our group, and made sure everyone had what they needed. His personality and customer service made an already great meal even better. As for the food, there were some definite standouts! I ordered the Creole Snapper Delight, and the fish was excellent. However, do yourself a favor and ask for extra crawfish cream sauce! I am not exaggerating when I say this stuff could give the famous chicken sauce from that popular restaurant with the cows a run for its money. You could dip just about anything in it and make it better! My wife ordered the chicken strips, which she declared the best she has ever had. Considering how much experience she has eating chicken strips, that is saying something! And while they were fantastic on their own, dipping them in that Creole cream sauce took them to another level. My 16-year-old son ordered the Fried Seafood Combo, which was more than enough food for him. That is a pretty solid endorsement of the portion sizes! Our friends who don't eat seafood were also well taken care of. They had plenty of options, including the Classic Burger and chicken strips, which can be prepared grilled upon request. Everyone in our group found something they enjoyed. One thing worth knowing is that meals come with their own sides, while substitutions and additional sides may involve an extra charge. Murphy handled this perfectly, bringing out the sides we had paid extra for alongside the sides included with our meals. He explained it best: "You're paying for an extra side, you might as well get an extra side and share your fries with everyone." That kind of practical thinking and attention to the customer is exactly what makes a good server a great one. And yes, those fries were excellent dipped in the Creole cream sauce, too! The Catch delivered on every front: excellent food, generous portions, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding service. Even with a hurricane approaching, we had a relaxed, enjoyable dinner and left happy. Murphy deserves special recognition for making our first visit such a memorable experience. If you're in the area, put The Catch on your list. Bring your appetite, bring your friends, and whatever you do, DON'T LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING THE CRAWFISH CREOLE CREAM SAUCE! We'll definitely be back!

The crowd favorites on the menu typically include their hand-cut ribeye steaks, the prime rib, broiled oysters, and their unique collard green grilled cheese small plate. I tried a wide variety of their offerings, the bread was just okay, coconut shrimp was very disappointing, the chopped salad was quite good, the wings were different and not bad but not great, my friend's prime rib steak sandwich was fair, but the fries were not good. Unfortunately my ribeye was average at best but that's where the underwhelming really hit home. The place was pretty empty, and it might because of the food, but the same folks that own this previously had an extra special breakfast spot here and I had my hopes that this would just special. I will go back again down the road and give them a try and hope that they improve their food.
