Nice restaurant located right next to the movie theater at Fenton. Fun and tasty items on the menu: there is something for everyone! We tried the Killer grilled shrimp (delicious!) and the wings (very tasty and not too salty, which I feel like is often an issue with brined wings....these were great!). For dinner they had offered a pork chop which was solid and huge, and others in our party ordered the fried chicken and the fried chicken sandwich: all very large portions and seasoned just right. Something new! Something great! We decided to come here and were seated promptly. They have indoor and outdoor dining. Our waitress was Anna, and she was attentive, polite and took very good care of us. We started with their chips and guacamole. All homemade, and the sweetpotato homemade chips were outstanding. We split the bbq ribs, and cole slaw, and ordered a side of french fries. I can only say that there was excellence happening here. When the general manager came to our table, we talked about the food, the owner and the clientele. The music added to the ambiance, and we were happy. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate cake. Too big to finish there, so, we took a few things home including this cake. I especially liked the pub height, semi-circle booth we were seated at. Big step up, but such a fun height. The restrooms were immaculate, and burning candles was a nice touch. Make a reservation so you are sure to get your table. We'll be back to try other things. read more

Made reservations for 4:00 on a Saturday and was immediately seated in the sorta lounge area to the right of the front door in a cute little nook by the window. While it looked super cool, it was not comfortable as the little table has a really wide base so there is not a good place to put your feet and the chair side sits low, while the couch side sits high. Just really awkward. The atmosphere is really nice, light, bright and clean, and our server was super sweet. But I have to say that they serve the worst sweet tea I have ever tasted. I told my server that I accidently got unsweet, but she said that is just the way they make it. Replaced it with a lemonade that was more tart than sweet, but was drinkable. They really need to update their tea recipe now that they have a location in the south. I got the Tangled Noodle Bowl, it had good flavor with chunks of fresh mango and avocado. It was served luke warm though. Was it suppose to be a cold or hot dish? I don't know. My husband got the Danish ribs, they had great flavor and were tender, but not really meaty like baby back ribs. He easily downed the rack. Got the cinnamon toast crunch cheesecake for dessert which was oddly dry, perhaps it was the cereal dust on top, but it badly needed some whip cream or something. For our two entrees, two non alcoholic beverages, and one dessert our bill came to $100 with tip. It was a good meal, but for that price, terrible drinks, and uncomfortable seating I don't plan to go back anytime soon. But when we left at 5:00 there was a 2 hour wait for people walking in, so they are not hurting for customers. read more

We were walking around Fenton with the dog when we decided we would give Doc B's a try. Even though our dog is a registered service animal we still like to sit outside as much as we can and Doc B's has a very large patio area. We were seated promptly and our dog got a bowl of water promptly delivered before we could even place our drink order!! I had the pasta with a 1 pound meatball. We enjoyed Doc B's! I really enjoyed the atmosphere which was casual and cool. Our service was pretty slow- we ordered apps and then it took probably 30-45 mins before we even placed our dinner orders. I really liked the guacamole with the sweet potato chips. The chips were crispy and the guac was very fresh. My fish sandwich was also delicious. When we arrived at 8 pm on a Friday, it was very busy so I definitely recommend a reservation. What a GREAT addition to the Cary area! I was excited to try Doc Bs based on their instagram and creative menu and it did not disappoint. We had such a hard time even deciding what to order because everything looked amazing! We started out with the 1 lb meatball and the guacamole app. First of all, I've never had sweet potato chips with guacamole but I LOVED it. Perfect combo of slightly sweet and savory. Fresh house made chips and quality guacamole. It wasn't cheap but it was worth the price. The meatball was fantastic too, and the bread with it was the perfect amount of crusty, garlicky, and soft. For entrees we got the California Kale salad with crispy chicken and the Smashburger. Smashburger was great but the salad stole the show for me. It was really unique and had so many great textures and flavors. I highly recommend it. Doc B's is special because you can tell they pay attention to every detail. All home made sauces, fries and ranch were on POINT and everything was just perfectly prepared and delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more stuff! I was so excited to try this out but it was sadly overpriced and overrated. We waited for a table even when having a reservation. The service was quick but the food was lacking flavor. We got some drinks ($16+ each) and they were so weak. The buffalo shrimp poppers were good. The smash burger was nothing special and just wasn't seasoned or flavorful. The grilled chicken sandwich was mostly bread with a thin chicken breast and had barely any flavor as well. The only highlight was the service and the nice atmosphere. read more

Went on a Saturday night, place was packed. There was an hour wait, I suggest you make reservations. We opted to sit at the bar and it was a good turn around that night so quick seating at the bar. This was our second time visiting a Doc B's (last time was at their first location, Gold Coast neighborhood in Chicago), and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The Cary location vibe is elegant without being intimidating and less cramped than the Chicago restaurant. The service was impeccable. Our server, Reid provided helpful recommendations and gave us feedback on our choices. His knowledge of the menu was clearly thorough. We tried the "knuckle sandwich", the roadside smash, and the rigatoni and meatballs - all of which were outstanding. At Reid's suggestion we paired the burger and lobster sandwich with the crispy jalapeños side - so good. We rounded out the meal with a hazy ipa and a cider, both local and delicious. We were unable to secure a reservation, but they had room for us outside. Unfortunately a storm hit right after we're sat outside, but the staff was great about finding us an area inside along with the rest of the guests who sat outside. They handled it super well and the service was great the entire time! The space is really well decorated inside and the outside patio area is perfect for summer nights. The open area through to the kitchen is cool to be able to see the chefs and cooks. Now onto the main part... the food and drinks! We had three different cocktails, all of which were delicious! Definitely recommend the cherry old fashioned! We all had different meals (a burger, chicken parm, roasted chicken, and a stir fry), and they were all so delicious. First time trying this new Fenton restaurant. Nice ambiance and comfortable booths with outdoor seating as well. Our server was very friendly and helpful. She checked in frequently and kept our beverages full and had a great attitude. The grilled chicken sandwich with Dijon honey sauce was delicious but the sauce made it very messy! French fries were ok, nothing to rave about. My husband liked his smash burger but again, nothing special. The sweet potato fries were too soft and mushy, needed to be more crisp honestly. Would we go back? At those prices, probably no. We enjoyed going with our friends and walking around Fenton afterwards. read more

On Sunday afternoon around 4:30/4:45 PM, my mother and I visited this restaurant and chose to sit at the bar. We are both Black women. After sitting down, a white bartender walked past us multiple times without acknowledging us, greeting us, or offering menus or water. While I briefly stepped away to use the restroom, a white couple arrived and sat directly next to us. The bartender immediately greeted them, placed napkins, silverware, and menus in front of them, and took their drink order -- all while we were still sitting there waiting and had arrived before they did. At that point, it was difficult not to notice the difference in treatment. Eventually, another staff member (a white woman) came over to greet us, but by then the experience already felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming, so we decided to leave. I'm sharing this because first impressions matter, and every guest deserves to feel acknowledged and treated equally. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reflects on how guests are being greeted and served. Very off-putting and I hope they review the cameras at this time as a training opportunity. read more

This is our second time coming here and the food and the drinks and the atmosphere are all amazing. We came with children for a weekend lunch and shopping and it was so nice and relaxing. The kids meals were just as high of a standard as the adult meals. Both times we have been here the service has also been just amazing. The staff go above and beyond to help people out. When we were here last time a woman on a date was in the bathroom having a wardrobe failure with her dress. One of the waitress went into the bathroom and did a quick fix for her with things the waitress went and got. It was amazing to watch the extra effort and care. I did mention it to the manager before I left. But we will definitely come here whenever we are at Fenton as the service and food are wonderful. read more

These midwits will never see a cent of mine. We called ahead for my mother's birthday celebration to make a reservation, and were told that reservations for that large a group were not possible. We showed up early evening, hoping to get a table, and were told that all their tables had been booked for the evening. Which is it?
