We had non-emergency issue with the shower faucet. I called them around 9am and they had a plumber out within 2 hours or so. Truly quick response time. The plumber was polite, friendly, and as far as I can tell did a wonderful job with the repairs. The reason this isn't a 5-star review is the cost. While the plumber was working I had time to price out the job online, which I'll admit I should have done first. Per HomeGuide.com, the average price for the job we had done was $200, with $350 being the maximum cost at the high end. They charged nearly $500, and after adding in some discounts the amount was still almost a hundred bucks over the maximum. So while I have nothing but kind things to say about the plumber and their team work-wise, it's just very very expensive. FYI, it took him about 30 minutes to fix, so minus the cost of the parts, it was still close to $750 per hour. read more

I paid over $5000 to this company for work that I did not need and just paid $850 just to fix their damage (cut wires, missing connector), not to mention the damage to my pavers, which were uprooted due to their awful workmanship. These guys are fantastic. I went to Angie's list in search of help for our clogged toilet and accompanying backed up sewage in shower (YUCK!). I got an IMMEDIATE call which had me a bit worried that they would be pricey. But in fact, they were very reasonable. Their work was thorough and fast, they explained what they were doing and why and what they found diagnostically. They were patient and accommodating when I had to run out to deliver my daughter to various camps. They were polite and personable and did a bang up job! When they left I think the tub was cleaner than when we arrived in the house. They also left a clear report of several follow up options without any hard sell. They didn't have to, since they were educating me along the way so I felt in a good position to move forward knowingly. I would recommend these guys to ANYONE in need in the area. Made arrangements for someone to come out between 12-4. No problem, I'd meet them during that time period. Received a call that they were running late. Still no problem. But then I received a call that the previous appointment decided to install a new water heater so they could not make my appointment. This was Friday at 3:30. They wanted to reschedule to Monday, leaving me with no hot water for the whole weekend! And leaving me to find a new plumber Friday at 3:30! Our home water had to be shut off on New Years Day due to under the slab cold water leak. We needed to know for sure which of two pipes that come off from the main supply to under the slab at the master bath wall was the culprit. Both are 15 inches apart and go under the slab. We needed to know which one goes to the shower 3 feet away and which one is the leaking pipe that goes to the garage. I had isolated the leak to one of two pipes. My plumber does not do leak detection services and needed to know which pipe to abandon and cap off. Dakota from Do It Right Plumbing arrived to perform the requested Leak Detection Service but without the proper equipment. He realized I was informed and so he had to make several phone calls and it took him another hour to get the proper equipment. Dakota was professional and apologetic. The pipes to test were already exposed and in a tight space and our plumber needed verification which pipe to cut and cap so we could correctly abandon the leaking underslab pipe. I showed Dakota the year 2012 photos of the two manifolds in the wall (taken during bath remodel) and explained why I thought the pipe to cut was the one on the right. Dakota used the Goldak leak detection unit and said the pipe that was leaking under the slab was the one on the left based on his 11 years of leak detection experience. I needed his expert opinion. He said he felt 90% sure. My plumber came out two days later and followed Dakota's advise, cut the left hand pipe. WRONG PIPE. What a mess. Wrong pipe had to be repaired in a very tight space at my cost+ and then cap the correct one. I called DoItRight Plumbers for an expert opinion and they DidItWrong. My follow up call to Megan in their customer service was not helpful, Only apologies. Waste of my afternoon and money $199 discounted $50 due to 1 hour delay for forgetting equipment. Very Sad. I would not even give this company any stars if that was possible. We had to have the valve replaced in our shower. The cost was extremely high and when I asked for an itemized bill to explain the charges they could not provide me with one, The technician left my bathroom a horrible mess, dust coating the entire bathroom the shower floor was all muddy. Just wanted to come here to give praise on this company. I never do reviews, but this time I just had to. They came out and hydrojetted my grandpas drains after a back up in February. Super professional, clean, and honest. Three months later, today, we had an unrelated issue. The same guy Christian from the first visit came back again just hours after my call. He was able to snake some hair from a separate drain this time. He was so kind and caring to my grandpa, he didn't even charge him for the visit today, even after sticking around to chit chat. Needed an estimate on a new water heater and repiping of the house, but the saturday before they were to come we had the sewer line back up into a bathroom. Dylan was outstanding with his professionalism and thorough with his assessment of the problem. He quickly assessed the situation gave us an estimate for fixing the backup, water heater and repiping that was reasonable. The next day the crew was out at 8am. They had the house repiped, sewer line fixed, and also had the water heater installed within 1day and 1/2. Originally I had a little water pressure issue at my house and called them for help, first a lady came in, tried to diagnose and fix the issue but no luck. She touched here and there at my house and finally said she's just entry level and have no idea what's wrong, the company will send another experienced plumber tomorrow. After she left I found out my entire house was out of water! For the entire night! And she charged me $400 for that! Next day another plumber came in finally get my water back but not able to fix my problem at all. He said he needs step out really quick to call the company and get back to me with a solution, but he never returns! Just secretly gone without notifying me or say anything. They should be call do it wrong and leave it totally fucked up.they came to find a leak and they never found it. The guy came out and totally cut holes in the drywall. He cut about 7 holes and didn't not fix the leak. Then he says you have a hot water leak and got made cuz we was asking him the price. Come to find out he fucked up and was trying to hide and get us to pay for his mistake. he ran a copper tube with a plastic hose to the kitchen. This is where it gets funny he claim he knew where the leak was and pointed to the pipe. Then he cuts the pipe and reroute it right back into the same pipe that was suppose to of been the leak. Yeah you read it right. He connected it right back. He gets frustrated and leaves and turns off the hot water. Oh wait. After he leaves we find out the upstairs bathroom has no fucking water. This dumbass cut that pipe. Do not deal with this company at all. I'll be call the bbb cause they left holes everywhere and behind cabinets that looks like there going to have to be removed. We had another plumber comeout and found the leak. It was nowhere by where he cut shit.I would give this company a minus 10 stars but you have to leave 1 and they don't deserve even that. Honestly, in terms of installation no issues. BUT in terms of management, issues. They kill you with kindness for sure. The technician that installed did a good job in the installation of the toilets. I must warn you that they are way over priced, however. They would not tell me the price of the toilet but only the cost for the 'project' which is a bit suspicious. I asked before we got started if they offered a senior citizen discount and never got a response. I was told that they used high end toilets would last more than 10 years by the technician and asked for paperwork or warranty of that but have never received anything from them. I had asked on 3 separate occasions for the paperwork on the warranty of the toilet but never got anything. They did call and were so upset that I was upset and claim they did not know that I has asked for a senior citizen discount and that their workmanship was guaranteed for 3 years. I explained that is not what I was told and was informed she would get back to me about a discount and the warranty of the toilets. That was now over a week ago. Still no response. I do not like businesses who speak out of both sides of their mouths. Just be honest. Just say you do not offer senior citizen discounts rather than ignore the request or fabricate something about the product that is not truthful. Tell me that the technician should not have told me that. Be honest. I am sorry, I would never use you again. You seem untrustworthy. read more

Short version: Do It Right tried to do me wrong. Long version: Our kitchen sink was backed up, and after trying for 2 weeks to get it fixed through our home warranty (useless), I yelped these guys and decided to give them a shot. Day 1. A Do It Right plumber comes out and tries to snake the drain, but it won't give. He says he'll need to come back the next day with a hydro jet. They will need access to our downstairs neighbors' kitchen to try to locate the clog, so we are trying to coordinate that. Day 2. Plumber comes back with a hydro jet and an apprentice. They work for a couple of hours and tell us they haven't been able to dislodge the clog and they're afraid to apply any more pressure for fear of the pipes bursting (ABS pipes). So the next step is to come back the following day and open up the wall on our neighbor's property, cut out the piece of the pipe where the clog is and replace it. And in the process they'll throw in a cleanout since we don't currently have one and it will make future maintenance easier. But this means that now our HOA needs to get involved since the wall will need to be opened on the outside. Oh and of course we'll need to find a contractor to patch and paint after. I'm frantically trying to get speedy HOA approvals, coordinate with neighbors, find a contractor... This is also when I receive an estimate from Do It Right, and between the work they've already done and what they are proposing to do next, we're looking at $3700. Which of course does not include someone coming to patch and paint later. The quote I got for that from a contractor is $1200. This whole operation is about to cost me almost $5K. Day 3. While waiting for HOA to get back to me (and eventually tell me that all of this is owner responsibility), I decide to call a few more plumbers and see what their take is. I get through to someone who is able to provide his own estimate based on my description of the problem, and it's only $850! Problem is, he can't come out for another week. So my options at this point are: shell out to Do It Right and have a working kitchen the same day; OR pay a fraction of that and put some of what's left towards all the takeout I'm about to eat for the next several days as I wait for this other guy to come out; OR see if Do It Right can match his quote; OR continue shopping and who knows when I'll have a working kitchen again. So I call Do It Right to see if they can match or at least give me something close to this new quote. Hours go by, no reply. Day 4. I finally get a response from Do It Right about matching the other guy's quote: NO. They actually said "it's probably that low because it's likely a small, one-person operation". They basically admitted that I'm playing triple the price just to cover their overhead. I'm kind of speechless at this point so I decide I'm gonna keep looking for someone else to come out and see what they can do. I finally get through to someone, another small company, and they said they can be there in an hour. When we described the situation and what we've been through with Do It Right, the new guy just laughed and said "BS, I've heard this one before. They're just trying to upsell you, as bigger companies do. There's no way your pipes will burst from a hydro jet. And it's also unlikely that a snake wont work. Let me try snaking it." We did, and an hour and $200 later we had a working sink. This guy just saved us $5K and a ton of time and headache. I asked Do It Right to explain themselves, but no comment from them. Moral of the story: don't let Do It Right near your house unless you've exhausted all other options. read more

We have used this company twice now. Once for the kitchen sink and once for our bathroom sink. Both times getting in touch with the office staff and coordinating when the tech could be out has been easy. Every time I have called them I've gotten somebody on the phone pretty quickly. Both technicians that came out to do the work were very knowledgeable and they gave us multiple quotes so that we could pick the level of work that we wanted done. Looking to bid a tankless water heater so I went through HomeAdvisor and Do it Right Plumbing came up as one of the Pros to bid my job. They seriously should change their name because they certainly don't "Do it Right". I scheduled a time for an estimate via Home Advisor and confirmed the time with someone who called me. The night before, I get a call from Do it Right saying, "some things have come up and we're looking for some people who have flexibility to adjust their schedule." That is not me. I don't have flexibility. It soon became apparent that they weren't looking for flexibility from others, they needed me to be flexible. I told the person I did not have flexibility and I didn't want to get rescheduled to Christas Eve, which is when she suggested. After hemming and hawing, I finally just told her to be straight. If you can't keep the appointment you set up, just say it. I have other contractors bidding this job and if you can't keep your scheduled time, I'll move on. "No, no, no....we can keep the appointment.....we just can't be there when we said we would be there." Astonishing. This is the definition of not keeping an appt. She suggested they could be at my place a couple of hours later, which is exactly when I have another contractor scheduled to be at my home. I'll pass on the awkwardness, thank you. I state again that if they can't be here when we had scheduled, just say it. Don't make it seem like you're doing what you said when you aren't. Finally, she admitted they couldn't be here when they said, and since I couldn't reschedule to fit their new schedule and I don't want to reschedule on Christmas Eve, she said they would take me off their schedule. I filled out a review on HomeAdvisor only to find out that since I didn't hire them, my review would not be available for other potential customers to see. So I came over here to Yelp and boy am I glad I didn't have this company do any work in my house. I see a number of negative reviews for things like overcharging, monthly plumbing service and even the same issue I had, which is scheduling issues and canceling because of poor scheduling and management issues. I really dodged a bullet here and I'm posting my review so other potential customers can beware of this company which seems to have a history of bad scheduling, canceling, etc. read more

Chris and Rihanna came out to the house to clear one of our outdoor drains, and they did a fantastic job! They used the hydro jet approach and we were amazed that they were able to retrieve not only dirt and small branches, but also a toy car and a plastic ball. The latter two items especially surprised us as my wife and I don't have any small children who would have been in our yard to play with those kind of toys. They were very thorough and went the extra mile by servicing more of the yard than they were expecting at no additional charge. In addition to Chris and Rihanna working hard, both were personable and were very nice to our dog. David the dispatcher was also very professional and kept us posted every step of the way as to when the plumbers would arrive. We will gladly have them back for future plumbing needs. Mark Bolton replaced my rusted water pipe with 3.5 feet of 3/4 in. copper. The rust was caused by having had galvanized pipe connected to the copper pipe by a previous plumber a few years back. He also unclogged my laundry drain that was overflowing into my kitchen sink located behind the separating wall. Mark Bolton did a meticulous job and took pride in his work. The cost of service was $634.00, which I thought was fair. I also liked that he wore booties so as not to track in dirt from his shoes whenever he entered my home. I recommend Mark Bolton. read more

Not because they were the least expensive. (they weren't) However, the man that came out and bid the project (Tyler Mello) was impressive. A no-BS approach, combined with a well-explained diagnosis and procedure, made me feel very comfortable about hiring this company to handle my project. I feel like I made a wise decision. Tyler came out ready to take care of business and did so efficiently and with a determination I've rarely seen from other company businesses. Maybe it was just his personal work ethic, but I appreciated the fact that he worked to complete the job even past normal business hours and made absolutely certain that I was happy with the work performed. He cleaned up after himself without being asked (a pet peeve of mine) and the work was aesthetically pleasing. I was amazed. I highly recommend Do it Right Plumbing for a lot of reasons. I had a very small job, replacing an outdoor patio faucet, and some plumbers I contacted didn't want to be bothered with a small five minute job. Do it Right Plumbing did have to reschedule me because their earlier job was running over, but they were great at giving me a heads up that they were running late, and they made it right by offering me a credit for my inconvenience. Once they came to do the job, they offered several different options to the repair and were flexible with their prices. The plumber, Darryl, was friendly, professional, and very skilled. I had an appointment set up between 8-12pm for a plumber to come and help with a water leak. Around 11:30am, I had no phone call from them or anything letting me know where the driver was. I called to check the status and was told they would need another hour and half because the plumber was held up on a previous job. I wait a hour and half, and still nothing. I call back again and I'm told the driver is 40 min away. I took work off so I could fix this leak issue and wasted my day waiting for nothing. Didn't know it was so difficult for this office staff to give a appropriate time range of service. Very incompetent people. Please don't do business with this company, waste of time and money. Additionally, I tried to ask for pricing to fix the water leak and they couldn't give me any estimate over the phone unless a $49 dollar visual inspection was completed first.
