It was 10 min before closing & idk if the girls were just rushing to close down but one girl in particular had an attitude. There was a miscommunication / misunderstanding with the girl who took my coffee order (I had assumed the seasonal banana latte came with the foam as pictured & because she didn't ask if I wanted the foam, I didn't ask for it more-so bc she asked if I wanted the brittle on top). When they handed me my drink it was a plain banana latte with no foam or brittle. I was ignored when I tried calling for the barista until another girl followed up - however this girl had an attitude. She told me that I must not have ordered it since they ask at the register if I want foam with brittle. Explained they didn't ask. Instead she just said "sorry I'll let them know for next time". And walked away leaving me with my drink as is. Didn't offer any sort of resolution. I walked in and asked they could charge me extra for the foam. The same girl with the attitude remade my drink and handed it to me. No thank you, no sorry, nothing. First time experiencing this kind of service. Not sure if the girl is new but saw someone else share a similar experience couple days ago. Wish I would have asked for her name!

I could go on and on about them... seriously. This time we had to come try their collab with Cake Picnic, which was the golden hour grey donut. Let me tell you, it was bomb.com. The orange flavor was phenomenal and I have no notes. We also got the strawberry donut and hot chocolate with almond milk, both obviously very good as well. It was my first time getting the hot chocolate and I was honestly surprised with how yummy it was. It was not too chocolatey and not too milky. It was the perfect balance and the perfect pairing with the donuts.

The owner was SO sweet -- genuinely one of the nicest people ever. She had the warmest energy and made us feel so welcome, even though we were clearly in goofy late-night mode. The worker there was just as kind and patient. They were both super generous and didn't rush us at all. You can tell they really care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The food was amazing. The ham and cheese was warm, creamy, and perfectly balanced, exactly what we needed. And the old fashioned donuts were so good; crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and not overly sweet. Everything tasted fresh. The ambiance was so cute and nice, made me feel like home with the lighting and cleanliness. Honestly, the service is what makes this place special. The kindness alone would make me come back, but the donuts being that good just seals it. If you want great donuts and even better people, this is the spot.

I asked her (politely), "Nine ninety for two donuts and a coffee? That... seems a little high." I asked because 1) I may have been having a mini aneurysm and 2) people are people and make mistakes sometimes. I thought perhaps she'd rung up my order incorrectly. But, n'yope. She just gestured at the donuts and mumbled something about "This donut..." then her voice tapered off. I'm still not sure what she meant. Maybe these were not ordinary donuts? Pulled up and sat there for a few minutes with no acknowledgment... no "be right with you," nothing. That alone has you second guessing whether anyone is there, whether you should just go inside, whether you should leave. Not a great way to start. We placed our order and as we were wrapping up asked if we could swap out a donut. Silence. Got to the window, workers were just moving at their own pace and didn't acknowledge us for about 5 minutes. When someone finally came over we asked again about swapping the donut and she said "oh I heard you before." So she heard us at the speaker and just... didn't respond. That's not a small thing. Donuts were ok, nothing special. The small black coffee kept leaking out the side... lid was on tight, coffee wasn't filled to the top, so something is off with the lids. Overall the service made it hard to enjoy anything about the visit.

They didn't have lids to cover them or a bag to put them in - so we literally covered each cup with another cup and put in a box I had from Costco in my trunk to get them home without dripping everywhere in my car. And I say dripping everywhere bc by the time he finished the last cup/. The others were melted from taking so long. They should probably just stick to donuts if they can't fully support the ice cream products. If I knew now/ I wouldn't have chosen to try there for ice cream. Very unfortunate, bc we probably would have loved the ice cream - but the experience clearly trumped the product.
