Thank you Derek for coming out so quickly to fix our EV charger. This company stands by their work. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Although we didn't end up having to have DKNG come out, Derek was thorough in his questions over the phone and I believe had we needed them to come out, they would have done a great job. read more

Very good communication, honest, good price. Will hire them again for electrical work!

We hired Derek and his team at DKNG Development and Construction to handle some electrical upgrades at our office, and I can't recommend them highly enough. Derek added several 120v circuits, installed a 240v circuit, and added a plug, receptacle, and safety cutoff switch for our electric forklift--all completed with precision and care. From the start, Derek was a pleasure to work with. He has a calm, professional demeanor that made communication easy. His quote was fair, and even though the job ended up taking longer than expected, he honored the original pricing without hesitation. What impressed us most was the team's respect for our workspace. Our business continued operating during the project, and Derek's crew went out of their way to minimize disruption--using plastic sheeting and taking extra measures to keep things clean and contained. That level of professionalism really stood out. He used high-quality materials and didn't cut any corners. If you're looking for someone dependable, honest, and committed to doing the job right, Derek and his team are an excellent choice. read more

Very good experience, Derek is very helpful, explaining everything to us clearly. They quickly identified the problem and offered options and the associated cost. We made decisions quickly. Then it just got taken care of naturally: Derek and his team got the items that they need, fix the issue, and done. I'll definitely contact them again if there is something else happened with the outlets and wires. read more

I had to replace my old panel due to insurance request and Derek was quick to respond and provide quote. I had a short period of time to get replaced and communication with Derek was great and kept me updated with all points of the process on scheduling and permits. On Sunday evening, I lost half of the power in the house. I contacted several electricians via Yelp. Derek contacted me within an hour, told me how much he would charge for his services, came to the house and diagnosed the issues on the same day. He was able to come back on Wednesday with supplies, and thankfully power was restored. Right after that, there was another electric issue I noticed. He returned to my house and fixed it without charging extra. I definitely trust this company and I will use him again. read more

Hands down the best electrician I have ever dealt with. Derek went over and beyond to meet all of our electrical needs. He worked late hours and was always available. We were more than satisfied with all of his services. Our job consisted of a kitchen remodel as well as lighting and electrical outlet changes. Derek is very knowledgeable and made a very confusing situations seem simple. I would highly recommend him with any electrical work and felt as though his pricing was very fair and his work was excellent!!! We will continue to only use Derek with all of our electrical needs going forward. Thanks so much Derek!!! JON/JOEY read more

I had Derek come out to diagnose an issue with the microwave not heating. He and his technician came out, opened it, put it back as is, tried it, and of course it didn't work. He then said the cost of replacing it would be cheaper than fixing, and took the money, but without actually diagnosing the issue or telling me what's wrong. It took me a couple of hours of watching YouTube to know that it was simply a 4$ switch that needed to be replaced instead of replacing a 900$ microwave oven. 1 star for committing to diagnose an issue he has no idea about. read more

Derek is a nice person and was available, but I was expecting more. If you're interested in DKNG, check that the license covers your repair. I was in need of a licensed electrician which DKNG is not. It was also frustrating how DKNG continued to diagnose the circuit even though Derek mentioned earlier he needed another technician. I felt there was no need to continue troubleshooting if more tools and personnel were needed. I was also surprised how he didn't have a light bulb to troubleshoot lighting. I mentioned a light was out in my master bath. I had to provide a light bulb to prove that the light was in fact out. read more

We were looking for the second opinion on upgrading our electric panel, our current GC tried to charge us $6,800 for a new panel. Derek was very quick on replying to my questions to understand the situation and what needs to be done. He came over to our place to provide detailed estimate and the price was very reasonable. We decided didn't go with the upgrade at this time as this was not necessary and the actual problem was not related to our breakers or main panel. read more

We are planning to completely rebuild one of our investments house. I do have some construction and architect knowledge, it may not be enough. I was hoping to have someone who can guide us from start to finish in details. Like budgeting, design plan, permit submitted process and finally the construction process. We have a 1100 sq ft house old house, and want to completely knock down, except the garage, then rebuild to around 2200 sq ft. The schedule a meeting with the owner and he was very patient and explain to us in details. Sometimes, I feel that he is a little too strange forward and cut off our "naive" idea. I don't think it is too bad, because I prioritize efficiency and result more... He shows a lot of knowledge in the field and due diligent. We decided to have him work on our project and design the plan for us. read more

Derek was so kind and helpful. He's very trustworthy and made sure he did a job well done.

Derek did an amazing job. He came out to my home on Saturday to see what the issue was causing the breaker to trip frequently. He educated me and my husband on the problem. He put in the order for the part and kept up good communication during the whole week while we waited for the part to come in. The best part about his work is he value of Safety first! He also saw that once the bad breaker was removed the main wire was melted and not safe. He replaced both wires and the breaker. It was awesome work and a great value. Thank you Derek! We look forward to working with you again. read more

Derek and his employee came to my home on a horrible rainy day because the outlets in my living room were dead. He was responsive, fast and listened to our concerns. He determined the issue quickly after a thorough review which is no easy feat when you are walking into a home that has gone through several remodels. Within an hour he knew what was wrong, implemented the fix and charged a fair rate. I can't thank him enough for being available on such short notice and doing a terrific job pinpointing our issue and resolving it! Thank you! read more

It's a Friday evening and the electricity in my home has failed. Breaker checks show sporadic flow in the circuits. What do I do? Turn to Yelp of course. I requested a call and the app sent my request to about 10 electricians engaged on Yelp. 1/3 of the electricians advertise that their business operated 24/7 or on emergencies. I learned that doesn't mean on weekends in their mind. Two called or replied. One tried to talk me into waiting till Monday which was No Bueno! I care for my 90 year old father and it's 40degrees at night- no electricity-no heat! One company responded "Of course". While he (Derek) couldn't fix what he found to be the problem, he WAS able to get a couple circuits in the home functioning enough for us to use low voltage appliances and heating blankets to get us to Monday- and my HOA did the needed repair on the exterior panel. THANK YOU DEREK! THANK YOU! read more

Derek installed a Ring doorbell for me. He was efficient and the work was completed perfectly. He showed up on time (actually early) and was great with communication and setting my expectations. He reviewed options with me, showed me how to configure my Ring device and doubled checked everything. He even took my old doorbell and used it to replace a broken doorbell on a second unit, even though the wire needed to be extended, he did not charge me extra. I'm very picky person, and he exceeded my expectations. I would hire him again. read more

I give Derek and his work a five star rating based on the job completed and the knowledge provided. He did exactly what needed to be done to remedy the faulty outlet that was creating a spark every time we turn on the switch which was a fire hazard. He also explained why it was happening, verify that the line was the appropriate gauge and got the issue corrected. He also explained to me why situations like the one that was occurring based on the type of wiring my house has how to prevent from me overloading the line. It was a same-day appointment and now I have power back in my kitchen and dining room. Will use his services again when needed. read more

Still waiting for my receipt. He was responsive and came immediately but he needed help from his team to complete the work.

This review is for service rendered December 2021. I appreciate Derek's work ethic and professionalism. We requested services for an electrical issue but we also discussed much needed repairs for our bathroom. Derek was very open to discussing options and helped assess an issue for wiring in our home that he deduced should be addressed with LAWDP before further work to be completed. Thank you Derek. read more

Derek and his team are superb. We came to Derek looking to make renovations for our condo, and within a certain time frame at that. Now that it's complete, I have nothing but the utmost praise for him and his team. Derek was extremely communicative, reliable, honest, punctual, and thorough throughout the entire process. He was always quick to respond to my numerous emails and texts, which was incredibly convenient for me due to my work schedule. Whenever I ran into an issue, Derek would go above and beyond to find a solution that worked for me, and if I ever wasn't sure how to get a certain thing done, he would humbly give his suggestions and offer a variety options to help guide me toward what would work best. He was never pushy or impatient. In fact, his patient, honest, down-to-earth and understanding personality made this whole stressful process a lot easier for me in the end. I wouldn't hesitate for one second to recommend Derek and his team to any of my family and friends. read more

Derek was great. He quickly responded and came early to fix my issues. I'd definitely hire him again.

Derek Ng was right on time; after he assessed our electrical problem he promptly told us he would solve the problem conservatively thus charging us a minimal amount which was greatly appreciated. Derek also said if what he did did not solve our problem he would come out again and try Plan B which is the most expensive route. We truly recommend DKNG for your electrical needs. read more

Fixed my ceiling fan and even came back the next day with a new remote with dimming capabilities.

After reaching out and scheduling a call time on Yelp, I spoke with Derek. I was told to text him some info, and that he would return a quote either later that day or the next day. It's been two days since, and no quote. read more
