Nick helped me in an emergency to fix what a previous electrician did wrong. At 10 at night on a Sunday, Nick was the ONLY electrician offering to come out for an emergency call. Nick was quick to fix what was wrong after diagnosing it and was fairly priced. Response time was fast and friendly. He basically saved me in an emergency. Thanks. NICK you are 5 stars all the way read more

1/5 I hired Nick to install landscape lighting and outdoor speakers at my home. I supplied all of the equipment and parts, so I was hiring him primarily for labor and installation. I initially described the job through Yelp and received a flat-fee estimate of $350, along with an invitation to schedule a consultation. I scheduled the consultation assuming Nick would inspect the job and provide a more accurate estimate. When he arrived, however, he appeared ready to start working even though we had not signed a contract or finalized the scope and price. After I walked him through everything I needed done, he told me he had thought it was a much smaller job and that it would cost more. We agreed to hold off until he sent me a revised estimate. He later sent an estimate for $950, which I accepted. When Nick returned to actually begin the work, I went over the scope with him again--the same work I had explained during his first visit. He then told me he "didn't know what he was thinking" when he quoted $950 because it was much more work than he anticipated. He increased the price again to $1,300. I reluctantly agreed because I needed the job completed. The first day, he mounted just the transformer and said he needed to return with a helper. On the second day, they mounted the weatherproof box for the speaker amplifier and routed some of the wiring. He then said he couldn't continue until a section of fence was removed because it was blocking access, even though the fence was already there when he originally inspected the job. He requested 50% payment, which I paid. I told him I would contact him once the fence was removed. A few days later, Nick contacted me saying he really wanted to finish the job and that I actually didn't need to remove the fence after all. He returned and routed the cables and installed most of the equipment. However, the job was still not finished. The subwoofer was left unburied, wiring was untidy, the trenches were not backfilled, and he drilled a hole through the middle of my planter to route wiring, which was not something we had discussed or agreed upon. He told me he would return after the fence was removed to finish the remaining work. At that point, Nick asked me to pay 90% of the $1,300 total. I paid him in good faith based on his representation that he would return and complete the job. We scheduled a final day for him to come back. He did not show up and did not respond to my calls or texts that day. The following day, he texted me saying he had suffered heat stroke and told me he was not going to finish my job. I completely understand that a medical issue can happen and that someone's health comes first. My problem is what happened afterward. Since Nick told me himself that he would not complete the job, I asked for a partial refund because I had already paid 90% and, in my opinion, substantially more than 10% of the work remained. My request was essentially blown off, and I was left to find someone else to finish the work I had already paid him to complete. The entire experience was frustrating. The price went from $350 to $950 after he inspected the job in person, then from $950 to $1,300 when he returned to start the same job. I accepted the increases and paid 90% in good faith, only to be left with unfinished work, open trenches, an unburied subwoofer, an unwanted hole drilled through my planter, and the additional expense and hassle of finding someone else to complete the project. I do not recommend Nick as he seems untrustworthy and dishonest. If you do choose to work with him, I strongly recommend getting the complete scope of work, final price, payment schedule, and exactly what constitutes a completed job in writing before allowing any work to begin or making substantial payments. I would withhold a significant amount of the final price until the job is completed. read more

I can't recommend Nick enough! We woke up to our refrigerator, microwave, and gas oven all without power, and the breaker kept tripping every time we tried to reset it. He responded quickly, took the time to thoroughly diagnose the issue, and found the root cause instead of just offering a temporary fix. He replaced the faulty breakers, cleaned up and organized our electrical panel, and even identified an issue with our AC unit that we didn't know was related. He explained everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and made sure we understood what was being repaired. He was professional, honest, punctual, and treated our home with respect. It's rare to find someone who is so knowledgeable and genuinely cares about doing the job right. We truly appreciate his attention to detail and the peace of mind he gave us. If you're looking for a trustworthy electrician, this is the one to call. We'll definitely be using him again in the future! read more

We needed a bathroom fan installed as well as various light switches and a new thermostat. I called various electricians and got either the runaround or no call-back. This was NOT the case with Nick at US Power Service. Nick responded right away, scheduled an appointment for me, and showed up when he said he would. Everything I needed repaired was done in a timely manner and at a fair price. Nick even brought his cool little vacuum and cleaned up any little debris left behind. I wouldn't hesitate to call Nick at US Power Service for any other electrical problem in my home. Thanks Nick! read more

We had an issue with a family member getting shocked when he used the shower. When I reached out to several companies for a quote Nick responded promptly and came out the same day. It was frustrating trying to get other electricians to come out or those that did couldn't figure out the problem. Nick quickly identified the problem and fixed it. We are so pleased with the service he provided from the call & quote to the very reasonable price to fix. We highly recommend US Power Service for anyone looking for an electrician that provides prompt and professional service at a fair price. read more

Nick came out to help us install a GFCI outlet for the bathroom. Initially, I was looking for a much bigger project for my garage and subpanel as well, but Nick helped me realize it was not the most cost effective way to go. I really appreciated the honestly and straightforward explanations of what needed to be done to help me make my decision. Even with the outlet install, there was a complication with the way my house was wired, but Nick quickly came up with a solution that worked. Very responsive, timely and honest. Exactly what I was looking for in an electrician. read more

Nick did an amazing job with installing two outdoor outlets for us one against our house and the other by our garden wall for our pond pump. He was very thorough and prompt both with the estimate and install. We appreciated him being so responsive including giving an eta and a flat rate for the estimates. Also the price was very reasonable (we double checked with our neighbor who was an electrician). We would happily call Nick back to see to any of our electrical needs. read more

Nicholas was excellent. His quote was affordable and made sure everything was taken care of. Nice guy genuine loves what he does.

Nick was excellent at installing some outdoor flood lights around my house. He really knows his stuff and was able to expertly set everything up in a flash. We were very stressed about setting up lights in the area to help make the street feel safer and give us some peace of mind. But about an hour with Nick setting everything up left our troubles behind. I was very happy to find a good electrician in the area and know who I'll call next time we need some electrical work done on the house. read more

I need to update my panel. Nick did a great job. Would highly recommend him for anything electrical and he was very reasonable priced.

Had an electrical mishap after hours and Nick was so kind and honest and came to our rescue ASAP. He cared about our well being and safety above all and expressed extreme concern regardless of if we went with him. His rates were also significantly lower than other businesses I requested quotes from. No better person than Nick and he's definitely going to be my go-to person. Highly recommend and will be recommending to anyone! read more

Great service and excellent quality work and reasonable prices so for electrical services give them a call

Nicholas came and rescued us from the heat! Our circuit breakers burned so our electricity went out. I have my elderly mother living with us and we needed the electricity back on quickly. He replied very quickly to my request and was here within 30 minutes. He was very helpful, polite and understanding of our situation. He repaired 5 breakers and got us our electricity back up. He was quick, honest and affordable which we very much appreciated. And FYI, we contacted another company earlier in the day because our electricity went out at 10 am, and they said they would be here between 12 and 3. We had to call them at 3:15 to inquire if they were still coming. And they said they were on their way. By then I was already looking for another electrician and Nicholas said he would be there and he showed up. The other guy (Blue Moon Electrical) was unreliable. If you need a reliable electrician, Nicholas at US Power is your guy! read more
