I got an EV recently and needed a charger to be installed. I shopped around and was debating between propower and another company. I was originally going to go with the other company but Angel mentioned they can obtain a permit. After doing research I asked the other company if they offer that and they said I can apply for a permit. I wasn't too fond of that especially because they said it would be under my name. So I went with propower, who then did all the work of obtaining the permit for me. Once I got a date set, they quickly came out and got it installed within a few hours. They scheduled the inspector to come out the next day and I got my permit the day after. Angel and his team were very knowledgeable. Thomas who did the install said I needed to save a paper that had a QR code for my Tesla charger and even explained what I needed to do after. Lastly, Issac was there for the inspection which was supposed to happen anywhere from 8-12 he explained what the process would look like and assured me it would be very quick. I kept my garage open and stayed as long as I could. Unfortunately, I had client calls to take at 9:30 but it was great to hear the inspector came and then Issac ensured to close my garage for me even though I could not. Very comforting. ProPower installed Hue Tracklighting, pendant lighting, replaced old florescent lighting with recessed lights, installed LED shelving, various spotlights, and rewired and installed new switchboards in more practical locations. We were recently under the proverbial gun to complete some electrical panel upgrades at the house. My wife's employer had used ProPower Electric on a previous occasion and suggested the business, and the owner, Angel, to us. He arrived at the home and told us how he would handle the problem that we had if it was his own home. I like that kind of frankness in my business dealings. It's refreshing for a person to offer options, and then explain why he or she would choose the one that he or she is suggesting. For big projects, I definitely prefer to spend the money upfront to get the job done correctly, rather than kicking the can down the road to another time for the sake of saving a few bucks. Angel and his team came to the house this morning and after a bit of demolition and rewiring (there was actually a whole day of hard work), he had completely overhauled our old electrical box with two new ones. This was nice to get an entire job done largely in a single day, and to have an amiable crew of employees to do it. It was clear that the men were both adept at their chosen profession, and also trustworthy. It can be stressful for a homeowner to place his or her trust in a company to do an important job in a time crunch. It helps immensely when that company employs people that understand the human aspect of providing service work. I was told they would be here at 8:30 AM today, but despite multiple calls throughout the day to confirm if they were still coming, they stopped answering their phone entirely. This isn't the first issue I've had with them either. They originally came on Monday, spent about 30 minutes on the job, and immediately told me it was going to be a "huge problem" that would require another visit. They scheduled to come back Thursday morning, but they never showed up. To make matters worse, they didn't even have the decency to let me know they wouldn't be able to make the appointment.
