Double-check EVERYTHING works BEFORE they leave. We found a different outlet (not part of the original problem) that didn't work, and when we contacted them a few hours after they had left, they told me that we would have to pay another full service fee for them to double-check their own work. Turns out a wire in the outlet they repaired wasn't reconnected so we lost current to the new separate outlet that was chained to the repaired one (luckily was able to find it and fix it myself). Pros: Quick response, good communication, pleasant interaction, repaired original problem. Cons: No warranty/guarantee of service, they didn't double check everything in the area they worked on before leaving (I should have too). When I found a problem after they left (even if it's the same day in the area that they were working on), I would have had to pay a full service fee again. read more

I got an EV recently and needed a charger to be installed. I shopped around and was debating between propower and another company. I was originally going to go with the other company but Angel mentioned they can obtain a permit. After doing research I asked the other company if they offer that and they said I can apply for a permit. I wasn't too fond of that especially because they said it would be under my name. So I went with propower, who then did all the work of obtaining the permit for me. Once I got a date set, they quickly came out and got it installed within a few hours. They scheduled the inspector to come out the next day and I got my permit the day after. Angel and his team were very knowledgeable. Thomas who did the install said I needed to save a paper that had a QR code for my Tesla charger and even explained what I needed to do after. Lastly, Issac was there for the inspection which was supposed to happen anywhere from 8-12 he explained what the process would look like and assured me it would be very quick. I kept my garage open and stayed as long as I could. Unfortunately, I had client calls to take at 9:30 but it was great to hear the inspector came and then Issac ensured to close my garage for me even though I could not. Very comforting. The quote process - I recently completed a kitchen demo and was looking to add a dedicated circuit/outlet to my 200 amp fuse box. My schedule was very tight to complete electrical. If, for any reason, after the job and project was complete, we needed additional assistance with a related or unrelated electrical issue, whenever we called, they showed up. We were recently under the proverbial gun to complete some electrical panel upgrades at the house. My wife's employer had used ProPower Electric on a previous occasion and suggested the business, and the owner, Angel, to us. He arrived at the home and told us how he would handle the problem that we had if it was his own home. I like that kind of frankness in my business dealings. It's refreshing for a person to offer options, and then explain why he or she would choose the one that he or she is suggesting. For big projects, I definitely prefer to spend the money upfront to get the job done correctly, rather than kicking the can down the road to another time for the sake of saving a few bucks. Angel and his team came to the house this morning and after a bit of demolition and rewiring (there was actually a whole day of hard work), he had completely overhauled our old electrical box with two new ones. This was nice to get an entire job done largely in a single day, and to have an amiable crew of employees to do it. It was clear that the men were both adept at their chosen profession, and also trustworthy. It can be stressful for a homeowner to place his or her trust in a company to do an important job in a time crunch. It helps immensely when that company employs people that understand the human aspect of providing service work. I have three dogs that have the run of the property, and the men got along great with them. Maximus, the husky, provided keen oversight to ensure the wiring was done correctly.
