Fast and Clean Installl! We had our whole master bathroom redone due to a major leak. As a first timer doing any major work in our house, Jesse was able to walk us through the process carefully, step by step, taking all my "dumb" questions. Every install was done with care and precision. After using the shower and the rest of the bathroom for over a month now, I have to say we are completely satisfied with all the work that they did. They worked efficiently, completing the job ahead of the agreed timeline. Really appreciate Jesse and Oscar's professionalism as well. Oscar is a very talented builder and an electrician. I'd recommend him for any major project. Highly Recommend. read more

The Five Diamonds team did an amazing job on my master bathroom and closet remodel. Jesse and his team were easy to communicate with and paid attention to all the details! Jesse helped me source materials when needed but also worked with me on using some of my own vendors. Their work is very high quality and there were no extra charges. I am extremely happy with our remodel and highly recommend this company!!! read more

Jesse did a half-assed job and took his sweet time doing it. Our "4-week project" ended up taking 11 weeks -- during which time we had no kitchen. His guys were nice enough (which is why he's getting 2 stars) but most were only minimally competent, and Jesse only sent them to my house after they were done working at other peoples' houses, sometimes late in the evening. Days and even weeks went by without any work getting done. I have a long list of screw-ups that Jesse refused to fix, including leaving an electrical box hanging loosely off a wall (see photo), making no attempt to match stucco pattern (see photo), not trimming a door and window, ripping the screen of my brand new window, gluing shut a clean-out valve. You've been warned. read more

When we decided to do a kitchen remodel the first chore was to find a contractor. By luck we have a friend who had recently done his master bath and recommended Five Diamonds to us. We met with Jesse and expressed what we needed, what we wanted, and what the budget ceiling was. He came back with a bid that was reasonable & so we signed the contract. We were amazed that our old kitchen was gone in a day and were even more amazed that the majority of the new kitchen was installed in just 4 weeks! We had selected cabinets, stone, tile, fixtures & paint so the job was mostly demo, refurb, & install, though we did incorporate a few of their excellent design suggestions into the project. Jesse and his team worked together to meet our needs and deliver our new kitchen on time & on budget. A deserved shout out to Oscar who is a true craftsman...his attention to detail is impressive. Brenda, Abraham, & the rest of the crew all contributed to the fine finish work. As with any major project there were a few unanticipated issues...all of which were addressed and solved. Lastly, we were pleased that 'service after the sale' still exists. We love our new kitchen and can confidently recommend Five Diamonds to our friends & neighbors. read more

I hired Five Diamonds to fix up my condo that I just purchased a month ago! I have to say their team is the best that I have ever had. Jesse, Oscar and their team of subcontractors delivered an above satisfactory finished project on time and on budget. We greatly appreciated their professionalism and expertise to arrive at the best and most functional result possible for our young family. While I don't recommend working from home during a full bath remodel, Jesse and his team were respectful, responsive and easy to work with. They helped us find ways to save on budget without sacrificing quality. Toward the end of the project, Oscar's work truck was stolen and recovered, but all his tools were gone. He still showed up that day to get the job done and I applaud him for that. Thanks to Jesse/Oscar and the crew, my wife, kids and I are so happy with the new guest bath that brings us much joy on a daily basis at bathtime and has helped to increase the value of our home. Five Diamonds is a gem in the rough. I went on Yelp to research a different contractor and found Five Diamonds with a 5 star rating. Jesse answered my call and came over to discuss our kitchen remodel right away. He put together a quote and made sure to come back in person to discuss it. We agreed and they started demo right away. I always felt the communication was great and he always responded in a timely manner. Jesse is very open to new ideas and offers his opinions to make the best design possible. He helped me with budgeting and had options of different price ranges that would fit my budget. I always felt comfortable bouncing my ideas off of him, knowing not everyone has the same design aesthetic. Everyone on his team is great! A big shout out to Oscar and Brenda who worked so hard on our kitchen. We love how our kitchen turned out and how open and bright it is now. I now know why they are a 5-star company. We will be doing a stair railing next and a bathroom. read more

I had a great experience using Five Diamonds for my primary bathroom remodel. I had the design concept, provided drawings and selected/sourced all finish materials/fixtures. FD provided the demolition, all prep/building materials and labor that included plumbing, electrical, tile installation and painting. Jesse and his team were great to work with. Jesse managed the crew and showed up with a smile and friendly attitude when needed. They did a good job isolating the area to help avoid dust in other rooms. Showed up when expected and worked full days to complete the project in the estimated time. They accommodated a few minor adjustments to the plan and did their best to assure I was satisfied. I'm pretty meticulous and the work quality was excellent. I'm am thrilled with the results. read more

Jesse, Oscar and the rest of the crew did such a wonderful job on our remodel. We bought an older house and it desperately needed upgrades. We interviewed a few contractors, but really liked Jesse, so we decided to go with Five Diamonds. At first we were just remodeling the kitchen....then we added ALL the bathrooms, new flooring, painting, etc. We thought Jesse gave a very fair price and rolled with all or our "add ons". I truly feel Five Diamonds wants to make their clients happy and will go above and beyond to do that. Jesse suggested we add under cabinet lighting in the kitchen. At first I didn't think we needed it, but let me tell you....we DID! Jesse had great suggestions and Oscar (and the team) work incredibly hard to make the project perfect. There was one small issue after they were done. I thought there should we one more electrical outlet in the kitchen. Oscar came back and put one in - no charge, no hassle....and this was after they had already been paid in full. Thanks to Jesse and the crew, we finally have our dream home! read more

We used Jesse and the Five Diamonds team to do a bedroom remodeling project. I've been through five residential construction projects in my lifetime and this one was by far the best experience in terms of quality, worksmanship, project speed, and level of clean up they did after being done with work for the day. Jesse did a terrific job of making sure we were happy and anything we requested in terms of desired modifications they were able to accommodate. Oscar in particular is very talented in terms of depth and breadth of the variety of construction work he can accomplish. read more

Jesse, Oscar, and their crews did a great job with a large project we hired them for. They completed an ADU as well as the remodeling of a bedroom, a bathroom, and a closet in our main house. My family and I could not be happier with the quality of work that they did. Although it took a while, as most construction projects do, what set Jesse and Oscar apart was their perfectionist mentality. With other places, they take a long time and then you're lucky if they do the job right. With Five Diamonds, they took a while because they were making sure it was done right. Another thing that set Jesse's team apart was that they stayed within the initial budget that he quoted us at. The only times he went over was when we wanted extra work done that wasn't in our original scope of work or if we wanted higher end finishes that required extra work. Technically, that's not even "going over" though, that was us just adding stuff on :) If you're planning any construction, I full heartedly recommend Jesse. At the very least, contact him and let him give you a bid. Thank you Five Diamonds for helping us make such a beautiful living space for my mother-in-law and for upgrading our main house as well. read more

Words can not express how happy I am with how everything turned out with my first floor remodel in my small condo. I have no eye for design so I absolutely needed someone else's vision who would listen to what I like, for example colors, and then take that and run with that to create something wonderful. The first time I met Jesse I liked him immediately. You don't get a sales spiel just like others reviewers have said. He's honest and will tell you if he likes or doesn't like your choices. I did depend on him a lot on the choices of materials and the man has a good eye and very good taste I must say. I had heard that something inevitably goes wrong with remodels and in my case that was true. His crew were well on their way with the recessed lighting and had to stop because I had a leak in my powder room. Jesse recommended a repipe instead of just a patch up job. I knew the builders used very cheap copper pipes with our units and I've had multiple leaks through out the 20+ years so much so I didn't bother patching up the drywall. I listened to Jesse and I'm so glad I did. It was money that was not in my budget but having the peace of mind is so worth it. So his crew had to start cutting holes in the new drywall. The repipe was done in one day! They did such a good job and were very considerate, always made sure they didn't make too much of a mess. Jesse's crew is awesome and very hard working. Elder was the main subcontractor who did most of the work and was always very courteous to me. His team always made sure to clean up what they could on a daily basis and that wasn't easy. He did such a good job on the recessed lighting and I love the dimmers! He did a good job with everything! I plan to hire them again when I redo the second floor bathrooms. I'm a very happy lady! read more

I worked with Jesse and his team to remodel my kitchen and living room. I'm so happy that I found Five Diamonds on yelp. I shopped around for a few other contractors and they quoted me $5000-$10000 more than these guys. Jesse was so helpful and listened to everything we wanted done, he had great suggestions and gave us some good websites to get bathroom vanities, shower doors, medicine cabinets etc. Oscar and his wife are so amazing and easy to talk to, they did amazing work. The tile guys that they subcontract were so professional and did great work. I 100% recommend them to anyone that needs work done in their house, and I will for sure use them again if/when I need more work done. read more

We used Jesse and his team as our lead contractor on a garage remodel job - and they completely exceeded our expectations. Jesse was able to take what was a fairly basic idea and provide design recommendations that completely elevated our home. He strongly advised we should consider building partial wall to separate the 3rd car spot and finish that side completely, allowing us to have a beautiful fully finished "room" on the 3rd car side, complete with laundry, a 5 cubby mudroom, designer tool bench, additional desk space, sink and endless storage with shaker cabinets. The 2 car side ended up as a clean and functional "traditional" garage with new epoxy flooring, space for a fridge and floor to ceiling custom deep cabinetry for additional storage. This design recommendations from Jesse have drastically improved the functional living space in our home. We have three young kids, so having a beautiful space to clean and fold our laundry, store all their stuff in the mudroom cubbies, use the desk space for art/work etc. has been life changing. In addition to the strong design sense and recommendations, Jesse's team is fast, efficient and professional. They followed all COVID guidelines during the duration of the project and were always on-time and ahead of schedule. He has strong sub-contractor relationships in nearly all aspects of construction that are reliable and fairly priced. Jesse is very honest and upfront with all pricing and is never looking to price gouge. Overall, Jesse is the best lead contractor I have worked with and would recommend him to anyone looking for honest, fairly priced, great quality work. read more

My wife and I purchased our dream home last year. It is nearly 3000 sq ft, in our ideal neighborhood in Orange County, and on a 10000 sq ft lot. The only problem was that it looked like it was last renovated in the 80's. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I've interviewed over a dozen contractors to remodel the entirety of our home. Most of them came off as either sleazy or were just ridiculously overpriced. I get that home remodeling is pricey but some of the quotes I received were out of control. When I met the owner Jesse, he was a breath of fresh air. He felt like I was talking to an old friend from college and he really took the time to thoroughly go over what I wanted to have done in my home. When he got back to me shortly with an initial quote, not only did he have the most reasonable prices compared to the other 11 contractors I met, but he made it very clear with the itemizing of the contract. Jesse was also patient with the gazillion of questions my wife and I had as well as our changing our minds constantly about every possible thing you can imagine in a remodel (I seriously owe him several drinks) We removed several load bearing walls and every time we approached a potential obstacle, Jesse was able to figure out a solution that was safe for my home and functional. I am very proud to say that we love our remodel and my friends are jealous of Jesse's work and how much more bang for the buck I got compared to their homes. I definitely recommend you consider Jesse and his company to remodel your home! read more

I used Five Diamonds for a complete bathroom remodel.  Jesse and his team did a great job and the end result looks better than I could of imagined.  I got quotes from six companies.  When Jesse came out to provide the quote he explained the process and made good design recommendations that I wasn't thinking of.  I got the sense that he knew what he was doing and they would provide quality work.  I also didn't get that sly salesman sense from him that I got from others providing quotes.  He made it very clear on what was included and I needed to provide.  I wasn't surprised by any hidden costs or add-ons.  Everyone working on the project was skilled and professional and had high attention to detail.    I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to remodel and I will be using them to do my other bathroom in the near future. read more

This may be a bit of a lengthy review, but best with me, I am going to try to be as detailed as possible. I found Jesse on Yelp, he called and was at the house within a couple of days for a consultation. First impression, on time, knowledgeable, respectful and friendly. On that first day, I mentioned that I had multiple contractors coming to give me their opinions and prices, but I would keep him in the loop, and I would give him the last opportunity to take the job after. Our job seemed super complicated and I have PTSD from contractors due to a kitchen remodel that took 2 months over time and way over budget due to change orders. I explained to Jesse my hesitations, he assured me no change orders and he will be under budget and under said time because we had to move out for our project. I had other consultations, some prices higher, some prices lower, some with great personalities, some as dry as sand paper. I wanted to let someone into my house that I could trust and someone i could have a meal and a drink with. I called Jesse, showed him a quote that I got that was similar then his and I asked him if he would work with me to Make the price comparable, not less but definitely not more. I ended up giving Jesse the job, still scared to start. We ended up doing our bathrooms and adding a bedroom where a loft was. He came in with a design that worked and a budget that did as well. I told him that I would have all materials ready for him, and I did, and we signed up. What a great decision, the bedroom was done in 10 days, there were days with 9 people at my house working, they worked through the 4th of July to get me back home. The bathroom was finished on week 3. I have referred Jesse to everyone I know because of the experience, the affordability', the quality, the care, and the his personality. His team was fantastic as well. read more

We were glad to find the Five Diamonds Building and Remodeling for our project in the backyard. It's best to work with someone you know when it comes to a big project but we didn't have any references and used Yelp to find a professional 3D designer. This way we had to trust reviews on Yelp. And you know what? Every review for Five Diamond is true! We have seen from our own experience how qualified Jesse is. He has done more than we expected. We asked Jesse to create a 3D design for our backyard, and draw something fresh and modern. He did even better. Also, Jesse accompanied the process of obtaining a permit in the HOA, and we got this permit. Thank you, Jesse, for being above and beyond, for your patience, and competence! Thank you for your advice and support! Now we just hope our contractors will turn your design into reality)) Yelp users, we highly recommend Five Diamond Building and Remodeling for your projects. read more

Jesse and his team were amazing in helping me navigate a difficult situation I found myself in. I normally don't call people for projects simply based on Yelp reviews, but this time I'm really glad I did. I found myself facing a code violation that needed immediate attention. I was given a very short window to make some changes to a garage to update some unpermitted work dating back to the 1970's. I found Jesse here and gave him a call. First off, he answered on the second ring and was very personable. He immediately put me at ease with his professionalism and willingness to take on a challenge. I told him about the project then came the kicker: I needed the work started tomorrow. He thought about it for a moment then told me he could do it! He then quoted me clear prices and terms for 2 phases. I agreed and the work was started and completed on time at the agreed upon price. He even came back personally to make sure the city signed off on the permits! I know that good contractors are hard to find, but Jesse is the real deal. He delivered excellent quality work as promised. I won't hesitate to call him for my next project. read more

We chose Five Diamonds for our home remodel after interviewing around 7-8 GCs. Jesse had some good design ideas during the initial conversation that we ended up incorporating in our plans and we liked the fact that they were a leaner operation (no front desk, no office staff, etc.) than some other groups we interviewed which translated into cost savings on our end. Project scope included new flooring throughout, new kitchen and baths, redoing fireplaces, and removal of some pony walls. We moved out during the initial phase of the renovation but Jesse gave us regular status updates. We appreciated his efforts to keep costs down when possible without compromising on the product . Oscar and his crew worked hard and were at the house on weekends on numerous occasions. The work is clean and their attention to detail was definitely appreciated. The project went on longer than originally planned but not surprising given the scope. Overall we're very satisfied not just with the end product but with Jesse and Oscar's professionalism and attitude throughout the process. read more

I hired Five Diamonds for the complete remodel of the master bathroom, and they also ended up helping me with the kitchen remodel down the line. I have several reasons not to give 5 starts as the projects hit some bumps and got delayed significantly causing us a lot of stress. However, considering this review is for potential customers for future projects, I recommend Five Diamonds and Jesse with confidence because Jesse took the full responsibility for the error and got everything done to our satisfaction. In addition, I believe he wouldn't make the same mistake after having gone through the nightmare. Before having decided to hire Jesse, my wife and I met with 4 different GCs. It was an interesting experience, so I would like to share the interview process. Two of the GCs were very similar. They showed up with fancy attach cases. We explained what we wanted to do, and they kept talking and asking questions. Then, they sat down at our dining table and started listing the items that would need to be done with a pen and paper. They stayed for over two hours and gave us handwritten quotes in the end. I don't even remember what the quotes look like, but my wife and I were exhausted by the time, and we were like "there is no way we can deal with these guys for the next few months...." Other two stayed for a short period of time. It took them more than a week to give us quotes, so I could tell they were not interested in our projects. Jesse didn't stay that long when he visited our house for the first time, so I didn't think he was interested. However, he gave me a quote right after the meeting, which was pretty straight forward. I told him that I was thinking about hiring Jesse but needed a few more days as I was still meeting other GCs. After a few days, when I told Jesse that I wanted to hire him, Jesse already had the design written-up on his computer. I was happy to see that he was eager to take on our project. You will communicate and spend a lot of time with the GCs until the project is done, so I suggest that you hire someone whom you feel most comfortable with. Even though it was a long and tough journey, I still enjoyed working with Jesse and his crew very much. read more

We just finished remodeling our much used downstairs full bathroom. We interviewed numerous General Contractors and decided to go with Five Diamond. Jessie, who does the bids and project management, and Oscar, who is the hands on guy are great. In our meeting with contractors, we noticed their inclination to do things only their way. Some were insistent we use their cabinets and shower doors. Others were insistent on 1/4" grout for the floor tile. Jessie was willing to work with us and we didn't get that same feeling from the other contractors. This proved to be true. Our bathroom exceeded my wildest dreams. The work done by the tile guys is gorgeous. Oscar is a perfectionist and everything from the plumbing to the painting was done with attention to detail. We couldn't be more pleased. We wanted to add a couple of extra projects to the job and are happy with the results. We will definitely use Five Diamond for our next bathroom remodel. Jessie and Oscar wanted us to be pleased with the final result and we absolutely love our new bathroom! read more

Worked with Jesse and his team to remodel my kitchen which was a major project with removing two load bearing walls and making it a complete open concept. Jesse and his crew (Hi Oscar) turned our small master bathroom with a standard cookie cutter layout into our own personal spa. It's glorious.
