Inspired Remodels recently transformed our home, and we couldn't be happier with the results! From the initial consultation to the final walk-through, the team demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality that exceeded our expectations. Our initial project scope included repiping, kitchen, hall bathroom, master bathroom, powder room, fireplaces, flooring, staircase, paint, and interior doors. Additional work per our request included water filtration, tankless water heater and recirculating pump, exterior doors, recessed lights in several rooms, all new outlets and switches throughout, closet doors, closet organizers, and upgraded master shower glass. I had conducted six months of extensive research in order to find a design-build firm we trusted to bring our remodel vision to life. This included reading online reviews, talking with contractors, appointments and follow ups, checking references, receiving proposals and getting revisions, contractor project site visits, and comparing project scopes received from the contractors we considered. Initially, I cancelled the first appointment with Inspired Remodels since there was a fee associated with bidding the project, but five months later rescheduled since none of the other contractors seemed right for us or our project. Some represented themselves to be design-build firms, but after talking with them it was clear that they were just interested in securing a project and swinging a hammer, with total disregard to our vision. From the initial meet and greet with Joe, the experience was very smooth. A key feature that Inspired Remodels offers is an actual showroom. It was ideal to see all the materials together, and so much less stressful! The ability to touch and feel a wide variety of materials and fixtures in their showroom eliminated confusion and doubt. And Bren was so helpful by not only listening to our comments, but by presenting exactly what we were looking for before we knew we were looking for it! We heard remodel horror stories, but we were thrilled with such a positive experience. Since we planned on living in our home during the whole remodel process, the project was split into two phases to ensure we had access to a working shower at all times. Phase 1 (consisting of repipe, kitchen, powder room, hallway bathroom, fireplaces, interior doors, downstairs flooring, and paint) finished two weeks ahead of schedule, and Phase 2 (consisting of master bathroom, staircase, exterior doors, upstairs flooring, and paint) finished on time. IR completed a remodel for us that included a full bathroom, flooring, rain gutters, whole house fan, demo of an existing balcony, and install of outdoor lighting and custom copper awning. It was the biggest project we have ever done on our home and we were so happy with the process and end product! As with any home improvement project, it had it's speed bumps and surprises. However, we found that IR was excellent at communication and pivoting so much so that they finished the project SOONER THAN ORIGINALLY PROMISED!! I know, it sounds crazy but it was true! We found all their sub-contractors skilled, pleasant and best of all clean! We were never left with a port-a-potty on our front lawn, or piles of garbage inside or outside our home. Their design and scheduling process was clear, helpful, and outstanding. They left us wanting to re-model more, only because they were so pleasant to work with. What a great company to find. Here's my story. We hired IR to remodel our master bathroom and handle a few other small things around the house, mostly electrical and paint. I'm an HVAC contractor and perfectly capable of hiring and handling my own sub-contractors for this project but after doing that for the downstairs remodel, I decided I'd rather have a general do all of this for upstairs. That's when I found IR on Yelp. I found many companies highly rated but it proved to be difficult just to get someone on the phone let alone schedule an estimate. Anyways, IR was a clear choice for me to hire and I'm glad I did. Now not everything went perfect but you can't expect a project like this to be that way. I wish some things had gone a bit smoother but I'll focus on the positives here as they far outweigh any negatives. Jason, the foreman was incredible with keeping me up to date and still to this day is just a text, email or phone call away if anything comes up. Great service during and after the project. Our experience with Inspired Remodels was the best I've ever experienced with contractors. Jason and Joe Mueller we're responsive throughout the project. We are very meticulous and hired IR to redo a remodel that went south. Our remodel included removing new wood like tile flooring due to improper installation from a previous fraudulent contractor. IR flawlessly removed all flooring and kept the job spotless during the 7-week remodel. Our house was virtually left better then IR found it. IR installed the new wood tile above and beyond industry standards, removed and replaced all new baseboards and doors. I was looking for someone to remodel my 2 and 1/2 bathrooms, and replace kitchen and entry flooring. I wanted to get into the detail of picking out exactly what I wanted, find someone with the expertise to advise me on what current trends are, give me options and opinions, and of course coordinate all the work. I did my due diligence, read lots of yelp reviews and got five different estimates that covered a full range of costs and services. When I met with Joe and got IR's estimate, I knew they were the one. They had everything I was looking for, at a fair price. They were upfront with what was included in the estimate, and how any changes would be handled. I had to wait a bit to get started, but hoped they were busy because they're so good (and they are!). They set up a two-phase plan for me so that I would always have a working bathroom during the project. Colin kept me updated with schedules, and was always patient with my multiple visits to look yet again at my cabinet and tile color choices. Project Manager Jason was incredible! He was always reachable and responsive, on top of everything going on, answered my questions, and kept me updated. His commitment and availability made me comfortable that everything was on track and being done right. All of the employees and sub-contractors were professional, did quality work and cleaned up after each task. They were also great about answering questions and making suggestions. After months of research, meetings with contractors and receiving numerous quotes for our remodel protect, we decided to go with Inspired Remodels. Joe and Colin kicked things off and were very prompt and responsive. Their quotes were very reasonable but most importantly they were very honest and helpful in critical design and material decisions. Additionally, there was a lot of flexibility in making changes on the fly. Jason's team was fantastic, the quality of workmanship was very impressive and there were some great suggested modifications by the team that really made a difference in the final outcome. We were provided daily scheduling updates and for the most part the timeline did not slip. Every person involved in our remodel project (master bed and bath and guest bath) was very good at their specialty and all had such a great attitude and personality which makes this disruptive activity much easier to go through. We recently moved into a new home that needed some major updating. After meeting with 4 other contractors, we knew we found our match after meeting with Joe. From the very start, Inspired proved to be reliable, knowledgeable, honest and fair. As first timers dealing with construction, things can be pretty intimidating, but we found their process to be very smooth and easy thanks to Colin and Project Manager, Jason. Jason was very much so on top of the job, making sure everything was done correctly and on schedule and if you needed him for anything, at any time, he was always reachable. After many months (and quite a bit of scope creep on our part), we could not be happier with the care and professionalism we received, and the beautiful end results achieved through our Inspired Remodels home renovation. We hired Joe and Inspired Remodels to remodel our kitchen and bathroom. He wasn't the cheapest bid nor the most expensive bid but we felt the most comfortable with him. He was very up front in his estimates and pointed out what assumptions he was making since who knows what issues would have been discovered once everything was torn down. There is a reason everyone gives them 5 stars, they earn it. They finished the project on time (two bathrooms) and they are unbelievable. Their detail and craftsmanship cannot be matched. Jason kept the project on track and even responded to text messages and emails when he was technically off and or on vacation. Every worker that works directly for him and the few subcontractors were all top notch people. Everyone of them were polite and friendly and willing to work their tail ends off. I have never seen crews who worked so hard. In a lot of cases they actually ate their lunches while still working. The only wish that I had with the project was that I would like to see a more detailed breakdown in the material costs, so that we could jockey things around a bit to either save some money or move money around within the budget to upgrade somethings, but possibly go with less expensive choices in other items. That being said, do not let that make you hesitate in having them do your job. They were not over priced, it was just that when we chose to upgrade a few things, we had to pay the extra costs. Even that was not to the point where it made what we wanted impossible to have. If there were issues that came up, they kept the costs to the bare minimum and they worked extra to stay on track. We worked with Inspired over about an 8 month process (3 months planning, 5 months construction) to completely transform our entire house. We added 340 sq. ft. including a bedroom, bathroom, and office. We completely changed our downstairs layout by removing structural walls and re-configuring the entire space to an open concept (using the largest steel beams that Inspired has installed to date). We re-piped the entire house and added a tankless water heater and water filter. We upgraded our electrical panel, removed the aluminum wiring in the house and installed new copper lines, as well as added overhead lighting. Our downstairs has all new insulation and drywall. Our kitchen is now huge and gorgeous. The bathrooms and laundry room have beautiful cabinets, counters, and finishes. When there was an issue, Jason was already on top of it before I asked him about it. Joe was always fair and reasonable. Colin always had all of the paperwork in order.
