Greg and his team were on time, polite and both jobs were finished and exceeded my expectations. One was a small plumbing issue and the part was hard to find. His plumber researched until he found it and the sink is up and running again. The other job was finding a solution to a large built in cabinet that was pulling away from the wall. We had no idea what to do. It is now fastened for life and looks great. I am very happy and would highly recommend Greg and SoCal Renovations. read more

SoCal Renovations - Bedroom built in after it was repaired - General Contractors Near Me

I would definitely recommend this company! We used them for a kitchen remodel and we got top-notch service. He was quick to respond, respectful, professional and did a great job overseeing each phase of progress. His crew was equally as good and were also clean and courteous. I feel like we got excellent value for what we paid for! read more

I've hired SoCal Renovations twice; the first time for my kitchen and living area, and the second time for my entire upstairs, a new laundry room (moved from downstairs to upstairs), and a new mudroom. Greg and his team are not only highly skilled, but they are also kind and professional people. Greg is a fair and honest contractor- this is the most important quality of a good contractor. He is always responsive, even if there are delays in schedule he still will reply to my texts within a couple of hours so I never felt ignored. Each of the tradesmen in Greg's team is excellent at their respective craft. We got to know the crew quite well and they were a pleasure to work with. read more

I cannot compliment Greg and his team more for their professionalism, timeliness, and trustworthiness. We did a major renovation in our home - full kitchen remodel, floors, bathrooms, paint work, etc. We had some time constraints and wanted the work done as quickly as possible - although we were skeptical that Greg would stick to his promised (super fast) timeline, he met and exceeded our expectations in every regard. He effectively managed the project so that there was minimal wasted days waiting for various contractors, and communicated throughout the process to make sure we were always both informed and pleased with the work. On the few occasions that we did want work redone, or adjusted, Greg never pushed back - he politely and willingly made every single effort to make sure we were happy with the final product. In addition - Greg's team was always professional and cheerful. Vince, Joel and Joel Jr., Alex ,Fermin and others all deserve praise as well - it is clear that Greg has built a great team throughout the years. I would (and have already) without a doubt recommend Greg and his team for your renovation work! read more

We found Greg and SoCal Renovations on Yelp because we have a 20+ year old cast iron sink that we wanted to replace with a stainless steel sink, and we weren't ready to replace the granite. It was hard to find someone willing to entertain removing the sink because there is always that risk that they could break the granite. But we wanted the new sink so we decided to take the chance, especially since Greg told me that he had removed 5-6 of these before on more expensive stone. He also would not guarantee that he wouldn't break the granite but based on his experience, it was highly unlikely. We took the chance because we were sick of our old sink. Despite this being a relatively small job, Greg came when he said he would and treated us like a major renovation project. Vince and Greg removed the old sink and had the new stainless one put in within 2-3 hours. I didn't watch but we had an undermount sink which they must have removed the seal on and then, the wood reinforcements. He found me a new stainless, single basin sink which we absolutely love. I purchased a Kohler pro faucet to complete the industrial sink look. I can't believe how much room is in the sink and under the sink. There was a minor thing that occurred but Greg took care of it the next day. He and Vince do quality work, and I would not necessitate to recommend them or use them again. read more

Greg and his team completely remodeled our kitchen and den during Covid. He gutted it to the walls, moved HVAC, built custom cabinets, installed all new appliances and magic corners! Fabulous job with my difficult tile. And just finished a master bedroom and bathroom remodel for us. New floor, freestanding tub, double showers and vanity. Opened up our closets and added built in shelves. He and his team leave the house clean everyday. We love his workmanship, new ideas and solutions to challenges. read more

SoCal Renovations was referred to us from neighborhood friends based on his team's impressive work from fully renovating their Kitchen and Living Room areas. Greg, the owner, was extremely approachable, knowledgeable and professional during negotiations to renovate our master bath, upstairs flooring and staircase. Greg was always willing to address all our questions / concerns with a willingness to offer his SME experience while not being pushy - always allowing us to make / own the final decisions. His team were consummate professionals with an extremely polite demeanor. Overall, we were very happy with the experience and quality workmanship and whereby he all estimated timelines by milestone. We highly endorse and recommend SoCal Renovations. read more

I called up SoCal Renovations on a recommendation from our neighbor for cleaning up some serious water damage to the kitchen walls, cabinets, flooring, master bath, sun room bath, as well as a full remodel to the guest bathroom. Most of the damage had been dried out prior, with nothing left but bare studs in many places. Greg and team certainly had their work cutout for them. My wife and I did most of the designing work with the help of Maria at Gramar Stone, as well as leaning on Greg for his vast experience. Let me just say that Greg and his entire team are an incredible and talented bunch of people to work with. All were very warm and welcoming, excellent and skilled craftsman. To start things off we had Alex with some demo, drywall, mud, and electrical. Talk about one of the nicest, cleanest (tidy), and well-spoken human beings we've had the pleasure of working with. Alex always, always picked up and cleaned up everything, laid plastic down wherever he went, and did it all with a great attitude. We also had Jose and his team to re-do our solid hardwood maple flooring in many areas. Excellent work throughout the house getting the flooring to match and lay perfectly. Next we had the Joel's to float the showers, work on the drains, and lay tons of tile. I would stress they were also extremely clean, thorough, and very polite. Some, if not the best, tile workers I have ever seen. Every tile was cut perfectly to size, no jagged edges, and all straight and true. During the time Alex was around we also had a few plumbers, Dave, Andy, and Andy. They were also extremely kind, cared for our house and property as their own, as well as very skilled at what they do. Dave made sure to replace any old cast iron drains that were exposed, as well as any gas lines that ran into the foundation. To top it off he gave very sound structural advice and support to some pretty hefty termite damage that we had encountered. Last, but not least was Vince. Vince is like your old buddy that you've known since high school. Very easy going and nice to talk and work with. Vince is known as the finisher. He came to install all of our cabinetry, fixtures, and handles throughout the kitchen and bath. Impeccable work throughout! Thanks, Vince! Although we had quite a few delays and bumps along the road, Greg never faltered or wavered, stuck to his word, his pricing, and always, I mean always responded to each and every text message and phone call. No matter how busy he was, he always had the time to listen to any concerns or questions. Without hesitation I would recommend Greg and his incredible team to tackle any job. I look forward to working with them again soon. Thank you all again so very much! We love our new house! read more

Greg and SoCal Renovations are terrific and I highly recommend. My wife and I are 1st time home buyers and just finished remodeling the kitchen and master bathroom. Both of these areas were looking pretty outdated with weird layouts when we moved in and we didn't have a lot of construction experience. Greg took care of everything we needed and really made our home look fantastic. Not only is Greg super responsive, but he's patient, honest and very easy to work with. All the materials he used are very high quality and look amazing! We also really enjoyed meeting the guys on his team (Alex/electrical, Andy/plumbing, Vince/cabinetry, and Joel/tile). Everyone was excellent at their jobs, super nice and very trustworthy. We felt like we were in good hands the entire process and are so happy we went with Greg on these projects! read more

We did not have a good experience with this company. Our remodel was plagued with endless problems and delays. Even when it finally finished, I was left with things that were not done correctly, that I ended up just accepting because I didn't want workers in my house anymore tearing it apart to redo. If you do decide to use this company, don't let Gustavo and whoever is working with him at the moment, paint your house. Him and his team made significant errors, and we have brand new paint that's peeling because he did not prep correctly, and it's obvious that he didn't use two coats like my contract specified. I also watched, and no two coats were ever applied. When I would ask, I would get some vague response or just blown off. When I approached Greg, he would just tell me that he trusted Gustavo. Big mistake. I also had brand new carpet installed by Greg's team.....it's already coming loose. There's no excuse for any of this. We lived in our last house for 10 years with zero of these issues.....we also take very good care of our properties. I trusted them with a job, paid for the job, had a contract.....I ended up feeling like I needed to watch everything and babysit, because no one else was paying attention. When I would bring up concerns, they were never taken seriously.....in the end, it was proved that my concerns were valid, and that things were completed incorrectly because no one paid attention to my concerns. I brought my concerns to Greg in advance, if he had listened and intervened, the mistakes would have been corrected before it was too late. To Greg's credit, he offered to fix them, but it would require literally tearing apart windows in every room, and extensive woodwork in another room. We had already been displaced for a year, sleeping on floors, renting storage unit, etc. we were done. He told us 1-2 months to get the job done, and it was far from that. If he would have listened to me when I initially noticed and pointed out the issue with the windows, painting and wood work, we wouldn't have ever been in that situation to begin with. But he didn't intervene, and they got painted and finished with all the mistakes. My advice, would be to hire out each thing you need done in your home separately to companies that specialize in each thing. That way, maybe there would be some more accountability, and someone to go to if things are getting off track. read more

SoCal Renovations (Greq Quigley and his team, including Joel and Joel Jr, Alex, Andy, Nacho, Vince, and Gustavo) did a great job renovating my bathroom shower stall. They were professional, courteous, honest, trustworthy, reliable, and kept on the schedule as initially quoted. They protected the rest of the house from the dust and dirt that results during a renovation. They are a hardworking dedicated group. They delivered a quality product. I highly recommend them! read more

We were talking with several other contractors before we met with So Cal Renovations. I heard about them from a friend at the gym. Greg came to our house and was very professional and most importantly, we felt he was trustworthy. He listened to what we wanted and had some great suggestions that we ended up using. He has a great feel for everything that is new in his industry. His guys are very skilled and very meticulous with their work. They made improvements and little changes that we would have never thought of but it showed how much they cared about their finished product. And they were very clean and cared about protecting our home during the construction. As with all home improvements we kept adding on new projects. Greg accommodated all of our requests and completed them in a short amount of time. We are very happy with the work they completed. My wife LOVES what they did to our home. We would HIGHLY recommend So Cal Renovations. If you want to ask me questions about them please message me. I'm happy to talk with anyone about them. read more

We utilized SoCal Renovations to completely remodel our kitchen, and the company and employees were both detail oriented and professional. Not one day did they leave the job (which you know can be a messy, dusty, mess) without cleaning, dusting, and getting rid of all evidence that work had been done. Additionally, when it came to installation, permitting, and detail finishing, we have never used a company as fastidious as SoCal Renovations. We have also utilized this company when it came to performing some reconstruction on the outside of our home; including, patio overhand with tongue and groove insets and placement of recessed lighting, installation of shutters on upper detail, overall repairs on outside of home, followed by power washing and painting, and hardware installation. Again, the work was superb, clean, detailed, and finished as promised. I would never hesitate to recommend this company and have several times. We will be calling them next for our upstairs master bedroom and bath area. Cannot wait. Greg is an outstanding owner, responsible, responsive, and fair in practice and fees. read more

We used SoCal Renovations for a recent kitchen remodel and love the results. We used SoCal to tear down a semi-load bearing wall, update our kitchen and downstairs bath. Greg is super easy to work with. We had several of his specialists in and out of our house and everyday they picked up after themselves. Super communicative, answered every phone call and replied very quick to texts with any concerns or questions I had. Did take a little longer than quoted but doesn't every construction job?! At least everyone was sensitive to my animals and children and made the experience smoother than other horror stories I have heard. I would definitely recommend SoCal, oh wait, we already have!!! Thanks so much! read more

SoCal Renovations completed a total remodel of our 40 year old condo. They took out the old fiberglass tub and put a brand new beautiful tiled shower in the bathroom. The kitchen cabinets were refaced and now looks brand new. They picked up our newly purchased appliances from Lowe's and installed them without any issues. The owner Greg was very professional and responded to every text in a timely manner. He made the entire process very smooth and we felt we could completely trust the quality of the work and the integrity of his character. The job was completed in 3 short months during the pandemic. We would definitely recommend SoCal Renovations for their professionalism, quality of work and for their overall trustworthiness. read more

I used So Cal Renovations for a bath remodel. Greg and his team were great from the initial visit to the finished product. They did a quality job and finished on time. I was so pleased with the job that I called him back to build a custom piece of furniture. Greg helped with the design and it turned out even better than I imagined! Although this company is listed as a bath remodal specialist, they can do everything! I highly recommend them. read more

Greg was super professional and great to work with. His staff was professional and their attention to detail was excellent. He was accommodating and creative with whatever ideas I wanted. He helped remodel my kitchen and painted my house. He also built me a new closet storage. I compared him to two other contractors and he was the only one who could complete all my needs. Other people only dealt with kitchen remodeling. But when he gets busy, as with many contractors, he can be hard to pin down. Overall, I would recommend him. read more

I can't say enough good things about this company. Greg remodeled two bathrooms for us and I get rave reviews. The work was exceptional and was done in a timely and professional manner. The plumber, painters, drywall installers, tilers and electrician were excellent. Greg has a great eye for design and was able to modify an antique cabinet to accommodate a vessel sink, remove a tub and replace it with a custom shower featuring a marble bench that matched the counter top. Greg is conscientious and keeps the work on schedule. I would highly recommend SoCal Renovations to others for all their remodeling needs. read more

Unfortunately, our experience with So Cal Renovations did not go well. I do not recommend them. We had a jack and jill bath remodeled and a hall cabinet built by them. Greg the owner and main contractor just coordinates different craftsmen for each portion of the job, tile, plumbing, flooring, countertop, and cabinets. The hall cabinet was installed and had several problems to where we are unable to keep and use. It was to be a tall cabinet butting up against the ceiling in a corner. The inside of the top half of cabinet did not rest without a gap on the bottom portion. The side of the bottom cabinet had a really nice face board but the top portion only had part of the face board and then a filler, so it was very inconsistent. It looked like the measurements had been wrong and so they were filling in the space since it did not fit. The top of the cabinet had a filler between the cabinet and crown molding which when you looked from left to right it's height decreased in size so it was crooked. We had to point this out to them as it looked aesthetically wrong and needed to be corrected. The problem was the ceiling was not perfect but that should have been caught in measurements and installation and adjustments made to fit to this and look good. In addition, the side fillers next to the cabinet doors were inconsistent, flush on one side and not on the other. It looked like a patchwork. It just looked like it was patched in too many places to make it work. The vanities put in the bathrooms were beautiful and they turned out nicely. The men who installed the quartz counter tops were efficient, timely and did a great job. The plumber was extremely helpful, timely and did a great job. The flooring men did a fairly good job, however when they put the closet doors back in, they were nailed into the wrong position making the sliding closet doors at a slant, this was not noticed by the flooring installers or Greg, only us when we went to use the closet and then had to have it repaired. Thus, lack of attention on both of their parts. We had an issue of the bullnose tiles for the shower were delayed. So, instead of stalling the drywall repair around the shower, the drywall was repaired around the shower leaving a gap for the bullnose to be installed. This caused further problems with a huge gap and then drywallers had to come out another time to fix. I think this error falls on Greg as he should have put job on hold so that tile and drywall could have been done in correct order. Then unfortunately the drywallers did not verify wall was level as after job was complete we went to hang a towel hook rack and the wall is bowed so much we can't put it on the wall. Obviously, some walls aren't perfect but this is an error too large to be able to hang the rack at all. The lack of attention to detail on some of the workers and Greg is very upsetting as this isn't quality work. And we had to find most errors and ones that aren't even that small. Quality control was not done here. When the vanity lights were installed Greg and Vince thought the walls or bar were uneven and wondering how to attach the lights and keep affixed to the wall. It turns out that the wires were just bunched up behind the light bar and needed to be tucked in and then it was perfectly flush against the wall. This was quoted as a 2- week job and it took 5 weeks. The tile was delayed by about 10 days. 2 cabinet doors were "lost" and were finally installed at the end of the 5 weeks. The absolute most disappointing part of this whole process was the lack of concern, lack of accountability, lack of apology for delays and errors on Greg's part. There was no sense of urgency or mention of sorry this took much longer that estimated. We ordered the wrong shower head and we went to the trouble to rush the order to get the next day so that we were not delaying anything. At one point we thought the flooring we ordered wasn't going to arrive on time, so we were willing to go select another one that would be ready to be installed if necessary. I just can't recommend this company due to all these issues as I wouldn't want anyone else to have a similar experience. Some of the work turned out great but not all of it. read more

We recently had a wall unit/media center built-in installed by SoCal Renovations in our Family Room. They did a excellent job and we are beyond pleased with how it turned out. We had recently purchased a New Build home and we loved the built in that the model home had installed, but the developer was charging an arm and a leg for this upgrade. SoCal Renovation was not only able to do this for much cheaper than the developer, but the end product is better quality than what the developer would have installed. The owner Greg was very great to work with as well as his crew. We would definitely recommend SoCal Renovations to our family and Friends and we will likely use them again in the future for more upgrades to our home. read more

I did a complete kitchen renovation (cabinets, quartz countertop, floor, cooking vent, ceiling light, and appliances) with SoCal Renovation during this summer, and my wife and I are both very satisfied with the outcome. Greg Quigley who is the owner, is very nice and understands home owner's requests by listening the details that we ask and does the best to satisfy the requests. Also, he would suggest reasonable design and choosing materials if we get stuck in some situations. The crews that he works with are experts in each area by having dedicated crew for different work. I'm surprised there aren't reviews for this company. So Cal Renovations is outstanding! I lost a cabinet due to water damage and contacted them for a quote. Greg responded quickly and came out to verify the dimensions and measurements. I had sent him some pictures of the old cabinet and told him about a few improvements I wanted to make.
