Hired Rizzo Electric to upgrade a main electric panel, an interior sup-panel, and install an EV charger plug. I got in just at the tail end of SCE's rebate to install an EV charger when a panel replacement was required. They handled all of the permit processing, the estimate was done entirely with photos over text, and it was honesty about as simple a process as I could hope for. I got pre-qualfied for the SCE rebate but they took over the paperwork and file, meaning my project cost got reduced by the rebate amount which was very helpful for me as well. Work done from my untrained eyes seems top notch, everything was up and working, looked very neat and tidy afterwards. There were up to 4-5 people at my house working for most of the day and everyone was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They sent out an electrician to meet the permit inspection the next day as well. I noticed that one of the screens over a craw space air vent didn't get reinstalled (they had piped the EV charger cord though it) and even though he was only there for the inspection Andrew got under the house and got that screen installed again correctly, which will help protect the house from rats getting back inside. Really appreciated and shows a full team commitment to getting the job done right. One note, they don't do trenching or wall repair, so you'll need find those services on your own after they work. That's pretty standard I think though. All in all so happy with the whole experience. I'll be recommending them this crew to anyone who asks me in the future. read more

Four years ago, Rizzo Electric installed a 13/50 NEMA device in my garage. At that time, I found them very professional and was happy with their work. I even recommended them to friends and family who needed EV outlets installed. However, four years later, the NEMA outlet they installed started to overheat. When I contacted Rizzo Electric, they said this was normal and recommended swapping the NEMA outlet for a wall charger. Trusting their expertise, I agreed to the swap. Unfortunately, the experience this time was far from satisfactory (Please see previous review). Recently, we bought a second Tesla and needed another charger installed in our driveway. I contacted another Tesla-certified electrician for a quote. During the consultation, he informed me that the breaker for the wall charger installed by Rizzo Electric was only 40 amps, whereas it should have been 60 amps. He explained that the original NEMA outlet should not overheated if it had been connected to a 50-amp breaker, not a 40 amp one. Furthermore, the new wall charger should have been connected to a 60-amp breaker to prevent overheating. When I reached out to Rizzo Electric about this issue, they claimed that I had only paid them to switch NEMA outlet to a wall charger, not to change the breaker. As a customer, I trusted them to do the right thing and ensure the installation was safe and up to code. I was unaware of the technical requirements until another electrician explained them to me. Rizzo Electric did not bother to come back and rectify the situation. Their lack of concern for customer safety and their focus on completing the job quickly and maximizing profit is disappointing. I would not recommend their services to anyone who values safety and quality. read more

Rizzo Electric did an amazing job on my Tesla Powershare Gateway and Universal Wall connector installation. For the work they performed I think their fee's were a good value. Once I ordered my Cybertruck and had a delivery date, I went through the Tesla website and got assigned Rizzo Electric for the install. I looked at their reviews and was happy with the choice. Rich and his team showed up on time and got straight to work. They put the Gateway right next to my Enphase solar panel box and wall charger. Rich got with me and we made sure all the rooms that I wanted power will have power when the Powershare kicks in during a power outage. I couldn't be happier with the quality of their work and their professionalism. Their installation was better then I could have expected. Once Tesla uploaded the software to my Cybertruck and my app updated (took a week or two after install), I tested it by turning off the main breaker and my house was powered by my Cybertruck. It automatically started pulling power within just a few seconds. I just always have to leave the truck plugged in. Due to the limitations of the Gateway, my pool and a/c were the only circuits not being backed up by the Cybertruck. Which is fine with me. Again, I can't recommend Rizzo Electric enough. I'm very fortunate that they were assigned to me for my Tesla Powershare Gateway installation. They really know their stuff. I plan on using them for any future electric needs for my home. read more

The appointment was a week out and they arrived and completed the installation for a good price that was very competitive. After a few weeks, there was an issue with the charging and power going out. I called the company and spoke with the manager/owner about the power outages caused by the charging. He came out the very next day on a weekend to troubleshoot the issue and replace the necessary components. The problem was fixed; and he walked me through the process (the wiring, how things work, and what issues we had), and they didn't charge anything extra.
