Installed 200A panel and Tesla charger. Great response time on questions and did a good job. Thanks!

As I was traveling I sent a detailed video with the requirement. They understood the requirement and charged extra. However, on the day of installation there seems to be internal miscommunication and didn't do the work per my requirements. They did a bad job running the conduit in front of the main door after clarifying in detail. Charged extra to fix the issue. Very disappointed overall. read more

Rizzo Electric - Conduit installed over main door - Electricians Near Me

Hired Rizzo Electric to upgrade a main electric panel, an interior sup-panel, and install an EV charger plug. I got in just at the tail end of SCE's rebate to install an EV charger when a panel replacement was required. They handled all of the permit processing, the estimate was done entirely with photos over text, and it was honesty about as simple a process as I could hope for. I got pre-qualfied for the SCE rebate but they took over the paperwork and file, meaning my project cost got reduced by the rebate amount which was very helpful for me as well. Work done from my untrained eyes seems top notch, everything was up and working, looked very neat and tidy afterwards. There were up to 4-5 people at my house working for most of the day and everyone was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They sent out an electrician to meet the permit inspection the next day as well. I noticed that one of the screens over a craw space air vent didn't get reinstalled (they had piped the EV charger cord though it) and even though he was only there for the inspection Andrew got under the house and got that screen installed again correctly, which will help protect the house from rats getting back inside. Really appreciated and shows a full team commitment to getting the job done right. One note, they don't do trenching or wall repair, so you'll need find those services on your own after they work. That's pretty standard I think though. All in all so happy with the whole experience. I'll be recommending them this crew to anyone who asks me in the future. read more

All in all, would happily have Rizzo come back for any other electrical needs. read more

Rizzo Electric truly earned their five-star rating. A massive thank you to Rich, Andrew, Austen, Arthur, and Kevin for an excellent electrical panel upgrade and wall connector/charger installation. They managed the entire process perfectly, from coordinating the city inspection to finishing up with clean stucco repair. Everything looks great and functions perfectly. Their scheduling, work ethic, and follow-up were outstanding throughout. read more

I was in escrow and needed a quick quote for electrical work. I submitted a request through Yelp projects and Rizzo Electric responded fast. What I really appreciated was that they gave me a clear quote just based on the info I submitted. No back and forth no phone tag no pressure. This is exactly the kind of service I'm looking for when I use project request features. Sometimes you just want a ballpark without having to get on the phone right away. Rizzo Electric made that easy and efficient. If you're in the same boat and just want a quick no nonsense quote definitely check them out. And if they help you out leave them a review too. I know how much that matters for small businesses. read more

Excellent ability to work around my changing schedule. Quick, professional and great pricing

Rich was very responsive in getting me a reasonable quote for a new panel and breakers. We set a date, his guys came out and did a great job, and did everything I expected. Stucco repair still needs to be completed but that wasn't Rizzo's job - just the panel and breakers. read more

Rizzo Electric - New panel and breakers. Stucco still needs to be repaired. - Electricians Near Me

Four years ago, Rizzo Electric installed a 13/50 NEMA device in my garage. At that time, I found them very professional and was happy with their work. I even recommended them to friends and family who needed EV outlets installed. However, four years later, the NEMA outlet they installed started to overheat. When I contacted Rizzo Electric, they said this was normal and recommended swapping the NEMA outlet for a wall charger. Trusting their expertise, I agreed to the swap. Unfortunately, the experience this time was far from satisfactory (Please see previous review). Recently, we bought a second Tesla and needed another charger installed in our driveway. I contacted another Tesla-certified electrician for a quote. During the consultation, he informed me that the breaker for the wall charger installed by Rizzo Electric was only 40 amps, whereas it should have been 60 amps. He explained that the original NEMA outlet should not overheated if it had been connected to a 50-amp breaker, not a 40 amp one. Furthermore, the new wall charger should have been connected to a 60-amp breaker to prevent overheating. When I reached out to Rizzo Electric about this issue, they claimed that I had only paid them to switch NEMA outlet to a wall charger, not to change the breaker. As a customer, I trusted them to do the right thing and ensure the installation was safe and up to code. I was unaware of the technical requirements until another electrician explained them to me. Rizzo Electric did not bother to come back and rectify the situation. Their lack of concern for customer safety and their focus on completing the job quickly and maximizing profit is disappointing. I would not recommend their services to anyone who values safety and quality. read more

Rizzo Electric did an amazing job on my Tesla Powershare Gateway and Universal Wall connector installation. For the work they performed I think their fee's were a good value. Once I ordered my Cybertruck and had a delivery date, I went through the Tesla website and got assigned Rizzo Electric for the install. I looked at their reviews and was happy with the choice. Rich and his team showed up on time and got straight to work. They put the Gateway right next to my Enphase solar panel box and wall charger. Rich got with me and we made sure all the rooms that I wanted power will have power when the Powershare kicks in during a power outage. I couldn't be happier with the quality of their work and their professionalism. Their installation was better then I could have expected. Once Tesla uploaded the software to my Cybertruck and my app updated (took a week or two after install), I tested it by turning off the main breaker and my house was powered by my Cybertruck. It automatically started pulling power within just a few seconds. I just always have to leave the truck plugged in. Due to the limitations of the Gateway, my pool and a/c were the only circuits not being backed up by the Cybertruck. Which is fine with me. Again, I can't recommend Rizzo Electric enough. I'm very fortunate that they were assigned to me for my Tesla Powershare Gateway installation. They really know their stuff. I plan on using them for any future electric needs for my home. read more

Rizzo provided an estimate right off the bat based on photos and information provided while most everyone else gave me the run-around and wanted to charge to come out and see it first, then give an estimate, then *maybe* be able to work on it that day. Jordan was awesome - was available to come out in less than 2 days, extremely knowledgeable, passionate about his work, and talked me through what he was doing and his thought process. Main breaker was replaced quickly and efficiently at a great price. Will continue to utilize their services in the future. read more

Had them install two Tesla Universal Wall Connectors on a shared load setup in my garage. It's our first time having EVs and first contact with hardwired chargers as well. Richard and the team were very helpful, explaining everything I needed to know for a smooth installation (I have zero electrical knowledge). I chose my own charger, but Richard suggested a better option for my wife's and my cars to save us some trouble. I ended up with two Tesla chargers that work great so far. The electrician, Jordan, was excellent--on time, helpful, polite, and patient, especially because one of my chargers was defective. He quickly troubleshot with me and guided me through the next steps. After I got the replacement, Jordan installed it rapidly, and we tested it together--it's working perfectly now! Thanks to Richard, the team, and especially Jordan for the excellent service. I'll definitely call you again for any other electrical work at our home! read more

This is the second job I have experienced with Rizzo Electric. The first time was at my parent's house when I had to be there since my parents were out of town. Rich and his team was polite, clean, and professional. When my wife decides to get a Tesla, I contacted Rich for a quote. He was very responsive and was the best prices between other quotes. The quote included a new breaker panel since mine was so old. He was on time and did just as good of a job as he did at my parents. He even took care of contacting the city inspector's and scheduling the inspections, even through the stucco work. Great service and would not hesitate referring him or hiring again. read more

This is the first time using Rich Rizzo's service and I certainly was not disappointed. I wanted to have my electrical panel replaced as well as an electric charger installed and had a very small idea of what "should" be done. From the moment I reached out to Rich, his response time was fast and was very competitive as far as pricing when compared to other electricians (and I spoke to many). He was very detailed in what needed to happen and explained everything to me very clearly. He removed the old electrical panel, installed a new panel and also set up electric charger along with the EV charging meter. Amazing, fast, clean work, period. I would absolutely recommend Rich Rizzo and his team as your trusty electricians and will certainly connect with Rich on my future electrical needs. read more

I completely forgot to leave a review for this awesome vendor over a year. Good thing about remembering it after a year is that I can say that the EV charger installation work was done perfectly without causing any issues so far. I needed to meet the HOA's rules for installing an EV charger and the rules were complicated. The planned location of the charger was far from the electrical panel as well. Other vendors that I initially reached out turned down the project, but Rizzo Electric made it possible! I am grateful for their great work, service, and pricing. I definitely recommend Rizzo Electric. read more

So pleased with Rich's service! Rich installed a NEMA 14-50 outlet in my condo shared garage, which required routing from the Electrical Room in the garage about 30' feet away. Rich arrived promptly and was done in about an hour. His work was thorough and clean. Now I have a beautiful Tesla Home Charging unit using the 14-50 adapter with a cable organizer. Communication was quick and easy, and installation was clean. I'm a little OCD about this kind of stuff and when contractors leave unclean edges of misalignment, it drives me crazy! The tech cleaned up after himself, and he was really polite. The only minor issue was the tech didn't know how to set up the charger with my phone; although, I believe Mike was his name, was quick to get me set up over the phone. It was really easy. I called Rizzo Electric to come out and install a 240V wall outlet for a new Tesla. They were helpful and informative from the start. The appointment was a week out and they arrived and completed the installation for a good price that was very competitive. After a few weeks, there was an issue with the charging and power going out. I called the company and spoke with the manager/owner about the power outages caused by the charging. He came out the very next day on a weekend to troubleshoot the issue and replace the necessary components. The problem was fixed; and he walked me through the process (the wiring, how things work, and what issues we had), and they didn't charge anything extra. These guys are good, honest, and they stand behind their work. I would highly recommend them for any electrical work! read more
