I first called these guys to get a quote and they got back to me quick. I set up a full install and they did a fantastic job. I am very particular about how my garage looks and the install looks bullet proof. I was nervous at first since the work order mentioned that I might need drywall work but the install was clean (see pics for metal tubing containing electrical wiring). I provided my own Hubbell commercial grade outlet which they installed (my OEM recommended this). They also facilitated the approvals/inspection from the City of HB. I would say they are moderately priced (not the most expensive and not the cheapest). I feel completely safe sleeping at night and have no worries that I might have had with a cheaper installation. I reached out to A-EV Installs to get a Level 2 EV charger installed. After looking at my panel, they told me it was "at full capacity" and said I'd need a full 200-amp panel upgrade and they quoted at $5,600 with a 4-week process. I even asked if we could just add a smaller circuit to avoid the panel upgrade, but they shut that down too. They said my panel was maxed out and that adding anything else would be a fire hazard, citing "safety" as their top concern. They also mentioned they had experience working with HOAs and could help with the approval process. Something felt off, so I got a second opinion. Another licensed electrician came out, reviewed the same panel, and said no panel upgrade was needed at all. He pulled a permit with the city, installed the charger, and passed inspection without issue. When the job was completed and approved by the city with no panel upgrade it confirmed what I suspected: A-EV Installs was pushing an unnecessary, expensive upgrade. Whether it was fear-based upselling or just bad info, I can't say. But it would've cost me thousands and wasted a month of my time. I wouldn't trust this company based on my experience. Always get a second opinion before agreeing to a big job they recommend. I'm glad I did. read more

This is actually the second time A-EV has helped install a 240v outlet for me so I wanted to leave this review for them to show my appreciation. The first time was at our condo where we needed the plug on the other side of the garage where my EV was and they were able to accommodate that and made it look very nice like it always belonged there. After a long research, I ended up with two companies that had the highest rate. The first one, they did not cover the paint/patch (cheaper $300) while A-EV Installs covered everything. The cool thing was that A-EV Installs gave me an estimate based on my home pictures that I sent them. I did not have to be home. Almost other companies came to my home for their estimates. Overall, I am very happy with their service. I did not stay home while they did their job. Here is my timeline. We had been surprised when we got the alert our car was ready two months in advance of when we expected it so I had to find an installer for our charger quickly. They sent someone the day I requested and he even showed up early. He completed the entire job within 15 minutes! And he even had to run one wire since our builder had left the hookups but failed to do the right wiring/circuit breaker. Price was reasonable $325 and came with a year warranty. I used A-EV installs to put a home EV charger at my home after I bought a used Tesla model S. As with everything I do. I shopped around to find the best value. My first call was to Mark and after he spent 15-20 minutes calmy and clearly explaining his process and my options, he said "please feel free to get other quotes as I am confident you will come back and be happy with our service and fair prices". He did and I was! One cheap quote I got was from a guy who wasn't liscensed or certified. No city permit, no thanks and wouldn't qualify the EV rebates through SCE.
