Had Ace Electrical Service out for two lighting issues. Garage fluorescent lights stopped working. Turned out to be a tripped breaker that wasn't obvious because of the safety bracket on the breaker. Wanted to convert an outdoor CFL fixture to LED. Instead of selling me a much bigger job, they explained I could simply use LED bulbs that plug into the existing CFL sockets. What could've easily turned into a several hundred dollar bill ended up being around $100. Needed an electrical outlet created in the top right of our refrigerator enclosure as we were installing a subzero fridge that needed the outlet located there. Victor came by as scheduled and in a timely fashion, and finished the job very cleanly at a very reasonable cost. In fact I asked to have the outlet moved and he told me it'd cost less if I just wanted a new outlet which in fact we like better so thanks for being proactive and laying out options for what essentially accomplished the same result. He also provided reasonable quotes to install a floodlight with a conduit as well as a plug in Ev station. I'm definitely recommending Victor/Ace Electric to friends/family and neighbors who need a handy electrician at a competitive cost. I think the only caveat to note is that Victor does not do any patch/drywall work so make sure you have a handy person for that if any walls need to be opened up for wiring. We had a breaker that tripped repeatedly even after my husband changed it out twice. Any further troubleshooting was beyond our ability so we employed Yelp to assist with finding an electrician. We were contacted by several electricians on the platform but felt that Ace (Victor) was the only one who showed that they had read our issue prior to responding. We spent the time to detail the issue and include pictures in our request for a bid, so we expected a thoughtful response in return -- which is where Ace stood out. We discussed scheduling an appointment for the following week as our issue was not an emergency. I was delayed in confirming the appointment. By the time I got back to Victor, the appointment was no longer available which is understandable. Instead, we scheduled it for the day following. Alfonso came out to look at the problem. I explained what we had already tried to do without success so that he didn't waste time duplicating the same efforts. Within 10 minutes, we identified the issue with a particular switch that controlled the exterior lights. Alfonso further investigated as the wiring at the switch looked fine as did the overhead light in the front exterior entry. He noticed that we had another exterior lamp on the side of our house that was controlled by the same switch. It was there that he saw the issue with two of the wires touching in a fused manner. He separated the wires and taped over the slit exposing one of the wires. Then he put everything back in its place and was done within 1.5 hours. He also offered to sweep up the dust created when the switch plate was removed but I let him know that I would vacuum it with my dustbuster. I appreciated Alfonso's call ahead of his arrival to let me know he was on his way, his swift approach to identifying and fixing the issue, and his professionalism throughout. Additionally, their time estimate was realistic and their price was reasonable.
