Very pleased with MAT Electric, which we hired to create three new electrical boxes over the kitchen island and install light fixtures (which we provided). From start to finish the experience was very easy. I solicited quotes through the project function on a Sunday evening, and MAT (via Eugene) and a few others responded fairly quickly. MAT had the best availability but not the best price, but they were gracious enough to match the best offer so it ended up being a win. We had them come for install the very next morning, so they were efficient and accommodating. Day of, the installers (Isaac and Nick) were punctual and careful to properly protect the island. While we were certain they would have to step on the island to do their work given the desired location of the boxes, they managed to avoid that as well, which is frankly amazing. They also spent time meticulously installing the fixtures as evenly spaced as possible, which was not an easy feat because our walls were uneven. Ultimately, the job took 4.5 hours and we are very pleased with the result--including the fact that they left the place as clean as they found it. (We didn't rehire another company who failed that assignment.) Give this company a try the next time you need reliable electrical work done with competitive pricing. While I will forever hunt for best pricing, I know MAT will be a company I obtain quotes from with preferential hiring. read more

I would say that pricing was average, not high or low. So in other words pricing was fare. Called several so-called "certified electricians" to get a permitted 240V NEMA receptacle installed. Almost all of them whined, moaned, and gave outrageous quotes -- except Mat from Mat Electric.
