First had Steve come out after an issue with ceiling lights and cracked insulation on the wires, more than 5 years ago. He rewired the lights and solved the problem. Since then we have used him several times, each time he does good quality work for a fair price. He ran a new circuit to the garage and we did have a problem with the AFI breaker. Steve came back a couple of times until he solved the issue for us. Very dependable, would highly recommend SoCal Electrical. read more

Steve responded very quickly and professionally to a project request I submitted through Yelp for installation of patio string lights in our backyard. His quote was very reasonable and the work itself was PERFECT. It was immediately clear to my husband and I that Steve knows his stuff and also takes a good deal of pride in his work. I wouldn't hesitate to contact SoCal Electrical in the future for any additional needs (and in fact already have, lol). Best decision ever! read more

SoCal Electrical - Steve's careful installation of our patio lights appeased our OCD. :) - Electricians Near Me - Bellflower, California

We called and Steve answered and said he was knowledgeable and offered to come when possible to give us an estimate/ quote for the work. Asked for our address to fit into his schedule same week. We texted him our address to his personal phone- as requested by him. After we texted the address ...no reply. At some point, he replied ... only to say, a few tangled words and "good luck with your project" He did not work for us. Can't say anything about his actual work. The review is a one star due to Big Issues with his "communication style" and "costumer service"... Can't say anything about value or quality of his work. Only rating based on our experience with communication. read more

We have had so many bad experiences with electricians and spent thousands trying to fix prior bad work/issues. We had yet another issue (flickering lights) and decided to try SoCal Electrical based on their yelp reviews. Esteban was thorough and honest. He took the time to really investigate the issue and was able to figure it out and explain why it was causing flickering lights. He fixed that issue, and we haven't had any issues since (which is remarkable as we had been having issues for a long time). We also used his team to install a panel surge protector. Again, they did a wonderful job. We highly recommend Esteban and his team! The first honest and thorough electrician we have found in the neighborhood! read more

Business owner increased the price twice after. On yelp they offer$175 flat rate and they increase to $275 because the working team has 2 people. They are leaving before complete the job. And asking another $175 for second time service. If that the price goes to $450. The business owner also threatened property owner if not paying full price before the job completed. read more

I had planned a birthday bash at my house on a Friday and I initially had planned on holding it indoors. However, I went a little overboard on the invites and soon realized i wasn't going to be able to fit everyone I had invited inside. I have an outdoor space by my garage that has gone mostly unused since I'm moved into my house due to lack of lighting. I decided last minute to try and get something installed and sent out a request for bids via Yelp on Wednesday night. Steve was the first to respond and was able to do a phone consultation via Facetime on Thursday morning and gave me an estimate of $550 over the phone for materials and labor for getting the lights strung up. Steve sent me a link to the type of string lights I should buy at Costco and I went and bought the lights and waited at home for Steve's technician, Roberto, to arrive. He also gave me some advice on a Wifi smart plug to install so I could control the light with my smart phone. Roberto arrived a little after 5pm on Thursday and I explained what I wanted to have done. I was worried because of the late start, but he got to work right away and I was surprised how much work it ended up being. There was no way I could have done this myself. He was still at it at 9pm so I went outside and helped out for the last bit hanging the lights so I could get this poor man home. All in all, I ended up paying $850 for 250ft of string lights installed (5 x 50ft strings). It ended up being more than the initial estimate, but I felt the price was fair given it was as last minute install and Roberto stayed until 10pm to make sure the job was completed in time for my party. The party was epic and I got a lot compliments on the lighting. Thank you Steve for coming through in a pinch! read more

Found Steve at SoCal Electrical through Yelp. He quoted an excellent flat rate price for the electrical work I needed. He then drove from Bellflower to LA to do the work. But when he arrived he immediately determined the electrical wiring had to be upgraded before it was safe to do the electrical work I needed. I appreciated his knowledge! And he could do the upgrade. But it would be a big job and he hadn't allocated the time to be in LA to do that. So we agreed that I should look on Yelp for a local electrician who could do the rewire. Steve even wrote out for me in electrician tech jargon, what type of wiring upgrade was needed, so that I could explain it to the local electricians on Yelp so they could more easily bid it. I was grateful that Steve did that for me. Furthermore Steve did not charge me for driving out to LA, and then back again, just to help me find someone else to do the electrical work. I suspect most LA electricians would charge more than Steve would. But I needed to get the job done quickly. So I ended up hiring an electrician on Yelp to do the work that I needed done pronto. At probably a higher cost than Steve would have charged. Bottom line is Steve's prices excellent, and his helpfulness and integrity set him apart from most. I plan to use him when I need electrical work in the future. read more
