I ran into an electrical issue at my panel late Sunday evening and lost power to half of my house including the garage. I attempted to troubleshoot myself without success. So I jumped onto yelp and looked for available electricians in my area. I came across a SoCal Electrical and decided to give Steve a call based on his 5-Star rating and feedback. I must say from the moment that I called him at 5 PM on a Sunday I knew I would be in good hands. I explained my situation and he gave me all the information I expected with a very positive attitude. He gave me the service fee price, material exclusions and estimated time of arrival. Steve communicated with me through his time of arrival and showed up on time at 730pm. when he arrived, he was very professional and explained his scope of work. He was able to isolate and troubleshoot the issue and get my power restored within two hours. He also went above and beyond and hung a motion sensor light for me. I am more than happy to recommend Steve for any electrical service you may need. Should I ever need electrical services in the future I would not hesitate to call SoCal electrical - they are a cut above the rest! THANK YOU! read more

Steve did a great job from the beginning to the end. He arrived on time and handled himself in a very professional manner. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and come up with a solution that was a cost effective and safe. We plan to continue to use his services in the future. read more

Steve was on time, on budget and on the ball. When I called I liked what he had to say so we scheduled a walk through at my house. Just the next day he got back to me with a free estimate as promised. Upon the scheduled day (a specific panel had to be ordered) he arrived promptly, was clean, smelled nice and got straight to work! He worked around my schedule, which is greatly appreciated thanks Steve! Remember...just because the light turns on it doesn't mean the job is done properly! Make sure you hire licensed electrician...you can check license status here: https://www2.cslb.ca.gov/onlineservices/CheckLicenseII/checklicense.aspx - Steve is all good BTW I checked for you...his license# is 1008592 Every time I've hired unlicensed "contractors" it's bitten me in the ass...it's never worth it. Protect your investment and your safety. Anyhow...onto the work he did for me...I needed my entire electrical panel replaced...we had an overloaded panel with old unsafe (actually recalled) breakers. We were doing a remodel and so I needed to get up to code. His price was very fair, not the lowest but the most complete....beware of low bids...they usually are incomplete and will make it up with expensive change orders!! Trust me the painters killed me on this one! Anyhow...I recommend Steve and his crew to all my fellow yelpers and would absolutely have him work on my mom's house! read more

Steve at SoCal Electric was great to work with. He was quick to respond with information and worked with my schedule. The work was done with quality and expertise and he made very sure that I was involved in the decision making. I needed some repairs done to two kitchen light fixtures. Steven was able to come in and assess both fixtures. He was able to identify that new ballasts were needed for both fixtures instead of replacing the entire fixture. He ordered ballasts and returned a couple of days later to complete the job. He was very professional, respectful, and friendly. Work is warranted for 5 years. I would definitely use him again and recommend his work. read more

Steve came out to check a meter panel. He was very kind, honest and punctual. He went out of his way to check my meter panel and was honest enough to tell me it was in working condition. It's nice to find honest folks who don't want to just milk people for what they can. I recommend him. Thanks Steve! read more

I had a major problem with wiring and a bad outlet. SoCal Electrical was responsive and communicated very well. The technician went beyond the standard customer service and did a wonderful job. Than you SoCal Electrical, I am a satisfied and will be a returning customer! read more

Had a bad outlet and called SoCal electric . Steve asked my issue and responded that we can get someone out later this afternoon....which was great. No mention of cost. Later that afternoon , Jason came by from SoCal electrical and told me that his visit is a std cost of 175.00 just for coming out.... this was real BS from my perspective as I was not advised of any cost for this visit from Steve Arreola nor was an estimate provided for any services rendered in advance of his visit. I didn't want to argue, so we continued and accepted the service visit cost ....Jason was very personable and did replace two receptacles on two outlets. I got charged 185.00 for two outlets. I guess I can be happy that they repaired it in a timely fashion, but feel like the business practice was kind of "unethical" and lacking the customer approval for the visit cost was really unprofessional. read more

Steve was very professional, on time and got the job done not once but twice. We had him come out because our kitchen sockets went out and we couldn't figure out why. He found the issue and fixed it quickly. Called him back to fix lighting in our kirchen that hadn't worked in years again he found the problem and fixes it quickly . Highly recommend Steve 5 stars. read more

Steve really came through in the clutch. He was professional, knowledgeable and really saved the day when both my fridge and AC stopped working. Other companies told me I'd have to wait two days for an electrician to show up. With my food thawing in the fridge and the AC down and out I thought it would be the worst day. Steve not only got the fridge and AC up and running, he also won lots of trust and more future business coming soon to SoCal Electrical. read more

We had 3 quotes from 3 different providers for the 5 electrical projects we needed completed. Communicating with Steve Arreola at SoCal Electrical was very easy and he was very professional. Jason from SoCal Electrical did a great job on my outdoor lighting fixtures. Replaced main porch, added a second and on the other side of the house a motion sensor light. Scheduling appointment was quick and easy. First he updated me from his previous job site that he was running late and gave me the option to wait or reschedule. He called early enough so I wouldn't waste my time. I appreciated the courtesy. Anyways I made arrangement and decided to wait. Great job, great customer service and easy to interact with! Will definitely contact again for future work. Do it once do it right. Job well done Jason!! read more
