This is probably the worst, most unprofessional experience I have ever encountered. For starters, the owner himself did not remember collecting the full $5,000 payment for the services that never were completed. I admit, it was my dad's mistake to not be there in person to make sure the work was done. He made the huge mistake of TRUSTING this company. He handed my brother the check for the remaining amount after paying the initial $2,000 because my dad had to work. My brother gave the man the check as instructed before he left. We paid in full for services never rendered, and what happened? A whole lot of nothing. Anthony Ruiz (the OWNER) initially apologized and promised to come by and finish the work, even promised to do extra work to compensate for the issue, and nothing. No follow through whatsoever. After hearing about this from my father, I personally reached out to Anthony. He was personable, he sounded kind and a little confused about the situation. I was hoping it was some sort of misunderstanding. Nope. This guy went above and beyond to accuse my father for not paying in full (we have the confirmed payment invoice). My dad literally had copies of his bank statements to prove this (which Anthony required) and Anthony has already rescheduled the day he was supposed to stop by, saying that he is super busy and had to let go of one of his employees. I accepted the rescheduled date and asked for a time range and NOTHING. We have been more than patient and understanding, I personally love supporting small businesses, but this completely backfired on us. BE CAREFUL, DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, if you opt to use them, make sure to document everything and DO NOT take the owner's "word" for anything. And make sure you supervise their "work". The lights in the front of our home went out, super annoying.. We had 3 different Electricians come out. -First guy was here, inside and outside for about 40 mins. Came back in and stated "I don't know what the problem is, but I can do a diagnostic, just the diagnostic would be $1,475" we said no, he left. -Next guy comes very cocky over the phone, he says $375, my husband says if you fix it. He laughed and said no when I fix it, I know what I'm doing. He came spent and hour and a half switching on and off stuff that had nothing to do with that area. Fixed nothing and said he didn't know what it was but wanted to run a line and it be $1,700 and it "should fix it" but we'd have to schedule it but his cost for coming out that day was $250 which he said was a discount, though he did nothing. -3rd guy never even showed he wanted to guide us over the phone, which did nothing. he said he'd come out but for $150 we said ok but he never came. Finally we found TM Electrical. lights were on in less than 10 mins, and they fixed the socket on the deck. TM Electrical is professional, efficient, reasonable, and actually gets the job done no BS, didn't leave a mess like one of the other guys did. He also didn't cut any corners and suggested better ideas that I had not though about. The overall job he did for me was install conduit and ran wire through the conduit. He also added recessed lighting, outlets and fans to the patio. Dedicated circuit breakers were also added and he tapped directly to the electrical panel. Everything was built to electrical code and his work passed a city inspection for Pico Rivera. Part of the ceiling was left open with cords hanging down. We asked him to come to fix those, but they never did. I have to say that I'd recommend using the company that is ACTUALLY licensed. Looked this company up on CSLB(Contractors State License Board) and there's no match under the company name or owner's name. Person who came appeared to be an apprentice. Asked to change out receptacles. That went fine. However, he took 2+ hours to make a new outlet 4 feet next to an existing one. Did a terrible job with wiring and all outlets in upstairs bathrooms lost power. I did not realize until hours after he left. He did not shield the power cable inside drywall to protect against future drilling. I asked him and he didn't even understand me. He put the drilled out pieces of the drywall back in place with wood stud behind the drywall. The pieces were wobbly and uneven with the surface. Wouldn't patch for me either. It was so bad I had to call an electrician I trusted. He fixed it all in 30 minutes and patched it in 1 minute. And he left. I ended up spending double the money to get the same thing done. The burden of training an apprentice should not be passed on to me. The owner was willing to come back to fix it, but I had no trust in them. read more
