First off, I am writing this review in all honesty and obvious disappointment. The customer service during the initial visit was great. One of the main guys was helpful and seemed knowledgable for what I was looking for. I went into their shop for some HID's that I wanted installed on my vehicle. When they first installed my HID's it took a while but I just figured it was a lengthy process due to them having to remove my bumper. When the job was completed the lights looked great and I was happy. About 2-3 months later I started having problems with the HID's so I called the shop and they told me to bring the car in. So I did just that, and when I arrived they took the car to the back. A few minutes later the main gentleman pulled me outside where the car was located. He had asked me, if I got the HID's installed here? I answered with complete shock and told him "yea, you sold me it." He replied, "this is not my stuff". I could not believe his repsonse. So he looked me up in the computer by my name and it said I got a tint job. I couldn't help but laugh because I got my tint done at the dealer when I purchased the car brand new. It was obvious what they were doing and I was becoming upset. We argued for about 15 minutes until another "main guy" came out and said "oh yea, I remember this car, we installed the hid's". They then proceeded to see what was wrong with my lights, and it ended up being bad bulbs. After them swapping the bulbs the lights seemed to be working fine. Then, again, 2 months later one bulb went out and the other had a very low output making it hard to drive. I was fed up at this point and did not want to go back. So I had a professional look at it. And to my surprise they installed second hand ballasts and I'm pretty sure the hid's were too. I was livid at this pont. So all in all they were not truthful with me and sold me used equipment that cost me $225. I have reported them to the BBB, and I recommend not anyone go to this shop. I'm not looking for a return on my money but just a little bit of justice for what they did. I'm sure I wasn't the first one and I'm sure I won't be the last. read more

I have already done business with a major stereo shop near by and had received the worst experience. I say that because after doing business with AJ here at DJ Custom Audio, I can see what an actual pleasent shopping experience is. He provided professional and knowledgable assistance in regards to fixing the horrible job the other shop did. He rewired my 2018 camry that was destroyed by the other shop and provided the professional dash kit and JL audio 6x9 components all around. WRONG! I went here last saturday thinking i will get my speakers checked since reviews are great. but i was wrong. I needed them to check why my door speakers are not working so the guy said they will check it so he told me to go inside. I sat there for almost an hour and no one went back to assist me and i had to ask. I was the only person there!! The guy was working on installing TVs on an SUV so I thought my business with them is so little compared to that SUV hes working on that they just ignored me. Rated 2 stars because I looked on their website and it said open on Sundays 10am - 4pm but when I arrived at 1pm they where closed so I waited for almost a hour because they might of been at lunch, still closed. Had Frank install an Alarm , head unit, and speakers into a convertible. I brought in my own stereo equipment but needed to buy an alarm. Reason I didn't buy an alarm online is if something breaks I want to be able to go somewhere locally to fix it. Frank was not pushy at all and did a good job recommending a product without trying to upsell me. He asked what I wanted and delivered what he promised. His prices were very fair and so far no problems with install. Ill probably be back if I decide to upgrade anything. read more

Now, the only suggestion I wouldn't recommend you to get those Hertz speakers, I really dislike them. They only sound good almost at a fixed volume point in my car anywhere from 22 to 31 the highest. So, I spent nearly fourteen hundred dollars on ESK 165 Herts component speakers, ECS690 Hertz coaxial, HCP4 Hertz Amp, and TI212 Phonix Gold Sub, an equalizer, and with other installation kits and costs of installing it. I strongly suggest you to stay away from Hertz component and co-axial speakers, I really dislike how they sound. They are really awful, they just play loud, but not as clear or good. It does not sound good. They sound loud, not as clean. I had a pair of $200 m class Memphis speaker in the front, with nothing else. Those Memphis sounded AMAZZZING. since the Memphis was suppose to go in the back, Alex called me when I was home to tell that they wouldn't fit and that he others others in speaker in stock to put in. But, I do like is the Phenix Gold subwoofer. But tends to lose power after about fifteen minutes of playing music. I honestly don't like listening to my system anymore. In addition, the system loses power cause it doesn't seem to play at the same sound level after ten minutes later after playing it. If you're just buying one thing, such as a speaker, they do appear to give good discounts. But, one thing I experienced not from Alex, but from Tareq, I think that's what his name is that he tend tell me was to make my system sound more better or this good, I would need this and that. Just don't get sucked into that. Buy what you have planned, The cashier asked an individual to my left at the store who paid his fees, if he could sign in on google to follow the business, and the customer did as he asked. The cashier also asked him if he could give the business a review. He also did that, rating the business five stars while I was to the side of him. I just think people cannot be honest, giving an honest review while the cashier is watching over him, I believe is name was Tareq. I was also asked by the cashier, but I only insisted to follow this business. Later, when I got home, I unfollowed the business. By the way, this place has ads all over CRAGSLISTS. read more

I had my LED's replaced here prior to relocating back to Atlanta, the LED's didn't last 30 days. I called Planet Motorsports and explained the situation, Dave said he would send me a new set, that was a month ago. I called to follow-up on the status, Dave tries to play me by asking if I received it, knowing he hasn't sent the LED's. I will never do business with Planet Motorsports and when friends heading to the West Coast ask about a place where they can get their car enhanced in So Cali, I will warn them about Planet Motorsports. This is my very first review on yelp and I did it because of an amazing experience David (owner) provided me when I had my sound system installed. I was looking for the best sound quality setup I can get with the budget I had in my mind (I had a medium budget-not too high and not too low. My logic here was that I knew I wanted super solid sounding system to play music and if I went the low budget route, I would find myself upgrading sooner than later and that will be a complete waste of money). I also didn't want to spend the craziest money on a system that can be achieved with some setup that is much more reasonable ). I went with hertz 165xl, Audison sr4 to power them, Audison av10 (the best ten inch sub period.) and an hdp1 to give it juice, Audison bit ten processor and Audison amp kit for the wiring. I got the best price ever for this equipment than you can ever find online or other stores. The installation took just less than a day. I left it there at 10 and it was ready by 5. David made sure it sounded really good. The experience was really a great one. I didn't feel that I was influenced to buy a more expensive yet unnecessary equipment. He certainly knows his stuff and the information he provided matched all of my research from experts online. The install was clean. The sound was good out of the gate ( I just did some tuning to my preference after ) and I know I will be staying with this system for a very very long time. Thanks David for all the help read more
