My review is based on a visit to target I had today. What does one do when they want to escape reality and pleasantly stroll around an air conditioned store with fair priced but cute items, and spend money that they don't have? They go to Target! This Target was really five star, and I've been to a lot of Targets. Aesthetically, the Target was a bit messy but I'm writing this review mainly for their service. I encountered really friendly workers here. I returned an item and the girl was genuine and nice, not speaking in a monotone voice and going through the motions. After that, I visited their Starbucks (oh yeah a Target trip MUST include a Starbucks run, or it's not a true target run ). The Starbucks barista was so nice and asked me how my day was, etc. She was really fast too. Finally , at the checkout I got the same genuine and overall nice service . These people are young , early 20's, but they must be well trained in customer service. Well, gotta go meal prep. See ya on my next Target run. read more

The people that work their have the worst customer service. I will never ask for food delivery or anything else from this store. They never deliver my order. I have better luck at Walmart. read more

If something is on clearance those prices should be honored. Offering the same full price on a vinyl that's opened and damaged is a slap to the face and poor customer service. read more

Came today 11/30/2025 Around 4:50-5:07 and tried to get an ipad and had The worst Customer service with a guy with glasses didn't get his name because he was just so rude and so unhelpful. DO NOT BUY GiFT CARDS HERE!! Bought a target gift card about a year and a half ago, the person I gifted it to told me it didn't work. Ended up being a scam card. Took about a week to get another gift card from them. Fast forward to a year and a half later, had to get a birthday gift card, this time it was for Home Depot. I thought, I'm sure that last incident was just a one time fluke so I'm sure it's fine. Person I gifted it to told me the cards didn't work. Another scam card!!!! This is the most ridiculous target I've ever been to! Inside is just horrific! And drive up is just ridiculous! I've placed an order yesterday at 6pm! I am super excited for my mom's wedding. I needed extra large rubber bands for the balloon arches. So might as well try to find some nylons options for my mom . I'm also having a problem with my shoes just being a little tight in one area. I've been wearing fluffy socks with them all week. I still feel tight.I did find these peds no show socks. Came home and they're perfect. I'm so excited less stress moving onto the next project let's go wedding!!!! read more

What the hell happened to my South Gate Target? This store used to be like the nice store to visit in town. It's now evident that a lack of workers or maybe too much work is not allowing this store to run as it should. Clothes thrown on the floor, tables of shirts and sweaters just barely sorted enough to sift through. Shelf displays are ransacked and dirty. The Frenshe display in particular literally had mold on the wooden displays. Everything everywhere is just a mess and it's not even clear who's working what. My neice , brother && I usually meet at different enda of the aisles but today it was different we fit in one aisle. Best moment of our lives. service was TERRIBLE. asked for a certain item in the electronic section and the worker went to let someone else know that i needed help and once that person who was supposed to help me came, they had went to see if someone else can help me again check but that person never showed up nor did any of the workers check for me to see if they had more of the item that i was looking for in stock. i was waiting for about 10 minutes just for no one to show up and actually help me and let me know about the item and its availability in store. read more

The wait time get assistance for items that are locked up are horrible. Their auto alert system is horrible; no one attendant to their alert system. Inventory is horrible too. Always out of items. read more

I come to this target often. There is plenty of parking and a Starbucks inside. The only thing is their pet section is very poor. I came last week and they didn't have any shampoos or grooming items I needed although online it did state they were in stock. Crowley (played by David Tennant) from the Amazon Prime Original "Good Omens" would be *so proud* of this Target. In the TV series, Crowley is a demon sent to Earth to raise the Antichrist alongside one of Heaven's angels, Aziraphale (Michael Sheen). For starters, parking sucks. Pedestrians suck. The patrons suck. I haven't even mentioned the actual store yet! The store itself is usually in some sort of dysfunctional disarray, another quality trait Crowley, the unpredictable heathen, would adore. Beware... One particular overly agitated supervisor will leave you waiting at the customer service counter for 20+ minutes, that is, if you don't take matters into your own hands and ask the innocent customer service employee where said supervisor that they have been constantly paging is at that exact moment. Lo and behold, said supervisor is at Lane 7 checking out customers. A supe? Really? The person that overrides Target screwups like misprinted prices on their in-store display labels? Making customers wait is one thing, but honestly to ignore subordinates and leave them with frustrated, headstrong customers is quite another. Unlike Crowley, though, this supervisor was missing the snake eyes, the cool hair, and the magnificent '33 Bentley* (in Neil Gaiman's book it was a '26) that could drive through fire whilst blaring every single hit Queen ever made. The best part is that the label-making employees here have no ability (or care) to read whatsoever. This is the 3rd time here and every time I visit this store it gets worse. The lines are ridiculously long and I see no staff on the floor willing to help move things along. I was looking for some white flats for my daughter and of course I wasn't able to find her size. I asked a sales associate for help and she was able to scan the barcode and tell me there was one pair left I the store. She directed me to returns to see if maybe they were left somewhere out of place. After asking a few different associates for help and everyone redirecting me somewhere else I ran into Jeffrey!!!! I am so thankful that I did. He was able to see on his end that the shoes I was looking for had just been delivered and could be in the back. After a few minutes he came out with the shoes in hand! What is going on with this store????! So I'm buying a few items this morning travel size hygiene for a trip. The cashier asks how many bags I want. I say 1. He rang me up bypassed the bag next to him. Stacked my items on the counter and didn't bag my items. He literally had to pass the bag to put my stuff on the counter. What the hell Target. Make it make sense. Other cashiers bagged as they went this was not self serve. I attempted to contact the store and no one would answer. This is why we go to Amazon. Do better. read more

EVERY single time I go to this location they NEVER have shopping carts in the store, even in the middle of the day when it is not as busy. They do have plenty of employees standing near the front entrance looking lost and like they have nothing to do and they don't care. It's a shame they don't care enough about their customers to keep carts readily available instead of making us go search the parking lot for one. read more

the drive up at this location is a complete joke. it takes them a whole day to complete drive up orders and when you come to pick up your order, you end up waiting like half an hour. i try to avoid drive up at this location as much as i can but unfortunately they always have what i need in stock that's near me but literally EVERY time i pick up here it's at least a half hour wait. also they like to complete only part of your order sometimes so on the app it'll tell you your order is ready but then you go and only part of your order is ready which is odd. anyways they need to fix their drive up/pick-up system because it's a mess and this is the only location i've had issues with read more

A lot of the items are locked up. I dislike that as it takes time for someone to come and help you. As a customer, it also makes me shop less, as I don't feel like waiting until someone's becomes available read more

It's annoying that the fitting rooms are not available. Instead the workers use the fitting rooms as storage room. This the only target I've seen that still has the fitting rooms closed so it's annoying to have to go home to try on stuff & then have to return it when it doesn't fit. read more

This is the worst Target in all of California. The incompetence here will leave you astounded. Curbside pick-up takes 6+ hours to fulfill, and once you park, expect an hour wait. On the rare occasions I go inside, there are only 3 registers open, and employees (if you can call them that,) are standing around talking and looking at their phone. I only come to this Target because it's on my way home, but I'm going to wait and go out of my way from now on--I can't deal with the disorganization and idiocy here any longer. read more

I placed an order for curb side pick up thinking since they offer this, how convenient it would be to save some time! I waited a couple of hours and finally gave a call to see if I can get an update on when the order will be ready. Erika answered the phone and let me know that they are short staffed and it will take up to 8hrs for my curb side pick up order to be ready. If this is the case, why is this target still making curb side pick up available to be used if the staff is not able to complete it in a decent timely manner. 2-3 hour wait? That's understandable.
