1st time - them came to is tall an additional monitor in my kitchen for the CCTV that's already hooked up to my house. This was fine. 2nd time- they came to assist in installing a CCTV monitor that I had already purchased in my master bedroom. The tech came by and literally plugged it in. He called his boss to to tell him he didn't want to charge me $75 for the initial fee because he didn't do anything. The boss told him, to still charge me $75. The tech apologized. The situation left a bad taste in my mouth. If he had charged me a reasonable price, I'd be a loyal customer & refer him to friends & family. Because of this interaction, I'll never use them again nor do I recommend their services. read more

I used Audio 2000 to upgrade the stereo and speakers in my 1982 240D while still maintaining that factory-look. Virgil did a great job many years ago. He closed his shop recently, but does mobile installs which is even more convenient. I texted with him for a few minutes about upgrading a 2012 Ford Escape to Apple CarPlay. The next day, Virgil came out to Venice and installed: 1) A new head unit 2) new door speakers (6x9) and 3) a rear-view camera. Everything was done in about 2 hours, and he cleaned everything up. As usual, everything was a clean, professional looking install. Virgil does a good job about balancing what you're looking for with your budget which was nice -- no hard up-selling. He really wants you to get the best value for your money (and needs). We did have a bad speaker, contacted Virgil, and he came out and replaced it super quick. I had them install a new alarm system. They declined to replace a 20 year old LED from the original system as part of the installation because it was too much work, but the big problem happened later. The car battery failed after 5+ years, and the alarm did not reset with the new battery as it was supposed to do. I eventually got it reset, reached out to Audio2000 and got blown off by Virgil multiple times about how to reset it in the future. I reached out to the manufacturer which warns consumers about UNPROFESSIONAL INSTALLERS. read more

Audio 2000 is the best. Okay, so we looked ALL over LA for a good installation place for an aftermarket GPS/Bluetooth/Ipod upgrade in our '99 sports car. Everyone was either shady or got great Yelp reviews but couldn't do GPS installs easily. Then, the other night we picked up Ramenya and I saw Audio 2000, I told my husband that place is probably amazing. Not much to look at from the outside... but that's usually a good sign! Sure enough, the very next day, we went to the Porsche dealer and found out we had a wiring issue with our stereo- they told us to go to Audio 2000. It was fate! We head over to Virgil, and he told us it would take about an hour to fix the wire... 30 minutes and $75 later, we were singing along to KROQ on our way back to the office! These guys are great... they can do anything and clearly LOVE working on cars! While waiting they had a sweet Rolls Royce they were working on, and a Lamborghini in the garage getting some lighting work done. We are SO coming back when we are ready to do our GPS upgrade! Pretty much whatever you need done to your car- these guys can do it, and they work fast, are cheaper than Al & Ed's and big fat bonus- they're next to my favorite Ramen restaurant! read more

so I wasted many time searching for solution for my BMW to connect and integrate iPod to it , all are expensive and painful. I go to yelp and searched for anyone that can install this , I found Audio 2000 , from review I know this is the one , this guy is amazing , he found a solution installed a new Kenwood unit which fit nicely , this unit wowowow , it can connect anything to it and it will play it , and really the cost is not expensive it is the same as the other solutions , but this solution was out of the box , I can connect my phones (Android and Iphone) through bluetooth , make calls , receive calls, many options , connect iPod and iPhone to it + the AUX input + also it have the USB port that you just plug your iPhone ,iPod to it + this USb can take any USB have MP3 and play it ,....... , not only that :) the steering wheel control integrated very nicely I can switch anything and move forward change control from steering to my Kenwood , Radio have all thing FM and AM , EQ ,Panadora Radio, etc , I don't know what this unit doesn't have , lol you can do any thing and everything even with a USB flash that have MP3 you can move forward to the next song on the USB , it is ok to do it on iPod or Iphone , but let us think a little how this is done on a normal USB with some Mp3 on it !!!! , this unit is too smart , and I like i and I really like that I didn't waste my time , just in 2 hours my car is ready and I go like a rocket !!!!. the guys there are amazing they don't talk too much but they really do it !!!! read more

Virgil is a fantastic person, and a better audio technician. He runs his business with an emphasis on quality control and customer satisfaction. I called him after hours one night and he picked up on his cell phone, spoke with me for 10 minutes about my request, and set me up with an appointment for the next day. I called in needing an AUX jack installed in my 2004 Acura TL on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving so I could listen to music on the terrible holiday drive to Palm Desert. I called Tuesday, he set me up with a 9am appointment Wednesday, and at 1:30pm I left his driveway with a fully functioning AUX cable. Thank God he got it done, because that drive was 4 hours long! Unfortunately, the wiring in the cable split in just three days, but I called Virgil and he set me up to come in and have the cable replaced, free of charge! This is what I call customer satisfaction and quality control. I know for a fact that whenever I, or any of my family or friends, need good quality audio work done that I will be going to Virgil and all the guys at Audio2000! read more

He didn't ask the right questions and I didn't get a good vibe from him wanting to help me. And I was very nice. I went to Audio 2000 today because I thought I had purchased the back-up camera for my Toyota Prius there. It had fallen apart and needed repair. I was wrong-while I had purchased a Bluetooth system there, I had bought the back-up camera elsewhere. Nonetheless, Virgil very kindly fixed my camera at no charge. I had these guys Install my Sound System in my 2014 Maserati Ghibli. The stock system sucks. Virgil new exactly what to do without having me overspend. He made the right recommendations and right on the price. In fact the amp I bought was lower through them than it was on Amazon. I also had them hang my new 70in. TV. The work is 2nd to None. Virgil is great! I have a Knight Rider/KITT replica, and it badly needed an alarm with remote lock/unlock capabilities and a new bluetooth stereo, plus a backup camera. This is KITT after all, he needs to have SOME technology! Not only did Virgil install all those items with ease, he even helped out with a hidden antenna I supplied, and at my own request, he added the KITT nose scanner to the remote, so I can turn on the famous red lights remotely. Thank you, Virgil! I am so delighted with the installation of my sirius/xm radio!! I have an older model Prius (the oldest model there is!!) and was warned that the installation could result in the cracking of my entire dashboard. Brought it to Audio 2000 and received the same warning (but phrased in a much nicer way!). We decided to risk it and were so pleased that Virgil was able to install the radio with no damage to my car!! I am now a happy commuter with satellite radio to listen to!! I had a problem with what I thought was a short in the Navigation system on my car, and I dropped in at Audio2000 at 8am without an appointment. They took my car and said they'd let me know. 2.5 hours later they called and asked me to pick up the car. They said that everything had checked out ok and there was no short. Then they referred me to another place that carries OEM electronics for cars to see if they could diagnose Nav. They didn't charge me for the work they did because they felt they didn't do anything. I tipped them $40 for the effort and went off to the place they recommended (who told me my Nav brain was bad). So in fact, their diagnosis was correct, nothing wrong with the wiring, and they didn't take a penny. read more

If you want the best in the west when it comes to car audio sound systems Virgil and his crew are the people to see. They installed 3 10" JL audios in the back of my 2013 Camaro, installed with a custom box so i still have all my trunk space. They really went all out to make sure everything stayed running 100% from box,subs to wires. Prices here are great as well. I basically just bought the parts needed and the labor charge was very comforting, especially because they took out all my old wiring and other things from my older vehicle before i sold it. I've been looking for a place to fix my auxiliary cable for my ipod in my car for almost a year. Everywhere I went had long appointment times, high prices etc. For what seemed like a quick and easy fix. So I stopped by the tiny single garage Audio 2000 on my way home from work as I'd seen it before and Virgil greeted me. He is relatively quiet and shy but sincere, honest and nice. He said it would be no big deal and if we wanted to he could get it done right then within 15-20min. Their hourly rate is relatively high, as they usually work on Bentleys, Porches, Lamborghinis and the like, but he quoted me a more than fair price (new cable included), lower then the normal hourly, so I said let's do it. Sure enough his nice staff took my car right in, dismantled the dash and replaced the cable in minutes making sure it looked great, worked well and the finished product was to my liking. I would definitely return here for a bigger job and recommend them. In car audio it seems tough to find an honest place that does good work so they are certainly a diamond in the rough. I had Virgil and his team install a NAVI, integrated bluetooth and back up cam in my used 2005 Porsche BoxsterS several years ago! I called him again because I now have a 2013 Porsche BoxsterS that had no Navi, sensors or back-up cam. He has been fabulous working with me to figure out if he can install a used Porsche Communication Management system into my car, and add the sensors and back up cam. He is always so helpful and up front about what needs to be done. I forgot to ask about a USB jack....I am waiting to see if he can work some magic here.... read more

I was looking for a good place to get iPhone integration with my car stereo. After seeing the solid reviews on Yelp I decided to give Audio 2000 a try. Virgil was very straight forward and helpful on the phone. I dropped my car off at 8AM when the shop opened. Around 9:30, Virgil gave me a call and said after looking at my OEM setup, he thought going with a different model would give me a better experience. I took his advice and am very happy with my setup. It is a rare and good sign when an owner talks you into a cheaper solution. I will definitely be back for any other car audio needs. read more

I have used this business twice in 3 years to install my television and sound system. They are terrific. I'm sorry to say I don't remember the man's name, but both times he came out with his "assistant", and they were impeccable in their setup and advice about our system. We just installed a huge TV, and got worried about the competence of Magnolia, where we purchased it. These 2 guys, who have been working together for 30 years, were wonderful. A good place to go if you drive an older Mercedes and want keyless. Audio 2000 is experienced with working with Mercedes' vacuum based central lock system (most cars use electric solenoid/motors). They installed an Avital keyless system to my W124 E320 and it works like a charm. Virgil was very knowledgeable when I called the day before and I felt confident about them handling the vacuum locks. If you're driving an old W124, W126, W140 or W201 Mercedes, I highly recommend taking your Benz in and installing a keyless entry for you car. It's exponentially more convenient and reduces wear on the door lock cylinders (which are known to break over time). read more

Maybe they do car work well, put they put a phone and wiring system for internet and DirecTV in my house when we were doing construction and their workmanship was terrible. Have had issues over and over on the work they did. The phone system was over-priced and their follow-up to correct the problems was terrible. He promised to come back and fix problems and every time they did the guy would mess something else up and then try to charge for the hours it took him to correct the problem he caused. Was just going to let it go, but Harry told me he would back the phone system and promised to follow-up when the main unit went out. He never called back because I wouldn't pay him 5 hours of work for a 30 minute job when his guy came and caused additional problems with the unit. Had to go to another vendor who thought the wiring job was done by anyone other than a professional. Called it the "laziest work" he had ever seen. Maybe use him for car stereo or car bluetooth BUT don't advise using for bigger more complex work. read more

I have a classic Oldsmobile that had an old stereo with burnt speakers. I consulted with Virgil and wanted a new and loud cranking system that I can plug into my phone, IPOD, and still use the existing stereo in the dash. They put in a new amp under the dash and installed a switch that allows back and forth between mobile phone (Pandora) and the existing stereo- its important not to cut holes into a classic dash. The work is incredible and the value unbelievable. I still can't figure out how the tech got the equipment up into the tight space. Aside from the outstanding quality of the installation I can say that the car has a rocking stereo now and its unbelievable. Virgil is truly a wizard and I would be happy to pay a premium for the expertise. This is a busy shop and Virgil went the extra mile to make sure I was satisfied with everything. I installed the back speakers on my own and Virgil was happy to consult me at no charge on this end - and he spent time looking up electrical manuals online for me. I would never, ever trust this car to chain store. I can understand the frustration of other customers who felt they were made to wait, but when you find the best shop in town, its worth the extra patience. I dropped off my car and the work was done right on schedule, in fact I encouraged them to take their time to get it right. read more
