I was shopping around for a subwoofer online, but nothing beats going into a store and actually talking to someone. I had some time this weekend, so I stopped by Audio Motorsports to get some advice and ended up just doing the install, since they could do it now, and the price they offered me was great. Nick was an excellent salesperson; he's an old-school guy with a deep history and knowledge of audio, and he helped me get off the fence with the different brands and boxes I was researching. I was originally looking at some subs for under the seat, but ended up getting a Kicker sub with Nick's advice, since he said under-the-seat subs aren't that great and, for the same price, a boxed sub with an amp will sound better. The installation took about an hour and a half, and you can either wait in-store or at a few nearby plazas to eat and wait. The install itself was clean and professional. Overall, loving the bass. I might be back soon if I upgrade the stock speakers in my ride to improve mid- and high-frequency clarity. On another note, I didn't know they also do tinting. Nick offered a good deal, but it's too bad I just recently had my tint done elsewhere. If I had known, I would have saved some money on my tint by doing it at Audio Motorsports. read more

The only thing I didn't like about my new car was the stereo. It came with a "premium" Bose system that sounded like crud. I wanted it to sound great, but i didn't want to alter the appearance of the interior or use up the minimal storage the car has. I looked at several places and visited a few. I am the owner of a 2025 Lexus 300h. About a month ago, I finally decided to upgrade my car audio system. I've had a similar experience before, having spent around $2,000 to install car audio in a previous vehicle. One concern I had this time was that my car uses a factory amplifier, which made the audio work more complex. Honestly, I was also worried about potential electrical or wiring issues. Despite those concerns, Nick at this shop was incredibly friendly and truly professional when it came to car audio. After a lot of thought, I decided to completely replace my speakers with the Italian brand Hertz. (woofer = Kicker) The installation took about three and a half days, but I am extremely satisfied with the results. I don't like overly loud sound or muddy, aggressive bass. What I prefer is clean, clear, distortion-free sound with tight and well-controlled bass--and the Hertz sound system delivers exactly that. I'm genuinely very happy with it. About two months ago, I also had ceramic tint done at this same shop and was very satisfied. Because of that positive experience and the trust I had built, I decided to come back. How much did it cost? It wasn't cheap. But the reason is simple: the more you invest, the better the sound you get. Spend $1,000 and you'll hear a $1,000 sound. Spend more, and you'll hear that difference too. That said, I don't feel like they overcharged at all. Everything was explained to me step by step, and because of that experience, I will definitely visit this shop again. Having been a DJ for many years, I'm very sensitive to sound quality. We got the windows tinted about a month ago and upon initial inspection it looked great! HOWEVER, we have noticed a month later that there are some noticeable dust particles on the front windshield that seem trapped under the tint. Not sure if this is normal but we have reached out to the owner and are awaiting a response to see if we can get this fixed or if this is as good as they can get it. read more

I am second time customer here and the second started off well, but after discovery from another reputable car audio shop, I found out the work completed was pure amateur. I am giving two stars because the sound was fine but the craftsmanship and the price of said craftsmanship is not worth it. In short, I wanted to add some additional speakers but chose to try a different shop as it was closer to me. The other shop found out that audio Motorsport drilled into the previous door speaker spacers using a long screw. Mind you, an adaptor costs 15-25 and I was not even offered it. They also fucked up my speakers and had to cut them so I am SOL if I want to return back to stock as I no longer have the oem speakers (they were thrown away). The other shop was able to remove the other oem speakers WITHOUT any cutting. They also left a lot of debris in the door and along the floor when I picked up. Very upset. Find another shop. I would never have known of the shitty work if I didn't decide to try another shop. Never returning here. read more

When I decided to get window tinting for my Corolla, I had a friend tell me: "I got a guy." Well, I have a guy now too and his name is Nick from Audio MotorSport in Carson. My buddy's guy quoted me a price and told me he could get to it in a couple weeks. After chatting with Nick via Yelp, I stopped in to get a firm quote just to compare. Nick spent a few minutes going over the different film choices and quoted me a price that was $50 cheaper than my buddy's "friend price" and included the sunroof which my friend's quote did not. By the way, Nick quoted his price without me ever telling him about my friend's tint guy. Both quotes were for identical top of the line nano ceramic tint. Loved their service and qualkity of their work! Had viper alarm installed to have all door opened in additioned to the alarmm when they offered to extend the witing to remote trunk opening. Had to bring it back anothy er day since the original actuator did not have a bult in motor (so the remote open didn't work). It was week before Christmas and they were super busy, and promised to call back to set schedule for a differnt day, maybe after the new years. To my suprise they called me back just a couple hours to bring the car back right at the moment, and had the remote trunk working in a matter of munutes. Really appreciate Nick working to arrange to take care of me during his really busy schedule (many cars lined up for work). These guys are legit! They installed a built-in subwoofer in my hybrid car that had ANC, which they identified, and solved efficiently. Now I have full sound and it's amazing. Hybrids are no joke either to hook up. They are very knowledgeable in their line of work and clearly have done anything and everything. Nothing but wonderful things to say about this shop. This is a long one. The stock woofer in my Audi A4 blew out, so I brought it in to their shop to see my options. It was nearby my house so it was the first shop I went into. And I'm happy to say that after my visit, I didn't need to shop around anywhere else. I was greeted by Nick. From the jump, I could just tell that he wanted what was best for my car and for me and not what was best for business. He gave me the best possible recommendation for the work that I needed to be done but also told me that there were cheaper routes if I wanted to go that way. I really appreciated this because often times these days, shops will shove many unnecessary work/items that the customer don't really need to maximize profit. I had an old sub that's just been sitting that I wanted to use, so when I mentioned it to him, he gladly asked me to bring it in so we could assess it together. After looking at it, he agreed that we could use the sub and they can take care of the wiring and amplifying. Often times, I feel like other shops will try to persuade you from doing this or charge you extra for not using the products in their shop, but he was more than happy to work with what I already had, even saying that what I had was a "great brand for my car and would sound perfect." He then gave me a quote which I thought was more than reasonable. Left my car there overnight. My car was safe and I felt comfortable. What typically takes only a few hours took longer than expected. This is not a bad thing, considering how complicated wiring is on European cars. When I finally got the call to pick up my car the next day, Nick told me that they had to wire it a different way to make it sound as best as possible, which is why it took longer than expected. The best part - Nick told me that the amp he had quoted me for in the beginning was not strong enough for my car, so he upgraded it for an amp twice as strong as what I was quoted, and didn't charge me for the difference. That's what I call passion for your work. It makes me happy that there are still shops that take pride in what they do, and do the best they can to remain more than fair to their customers as opposed to just gouging them for their money. Nick told me from the start that they don't do mickey mouse work and take shortcuts, and I definitely believe that. If you consider how long they took to work on my car (probably about 10 hours) + the upgrade, what I paid was absolutely more than fair. And they sent me off with a big smile on their faces, just hoping that I enjoy my car's new sound. I also got to meet the rest of the team and they are all very nice people. 100% recommended.
