I always go with the ceramic XR. LA heat is no joke and the difference it makes while driving is night and day. You won't need to blast your AC just to cool down because the ceramic does so much of that work for you. It's one of those things you don't realize how much you needed until you have it! For my setup I went 15% on the driver and passenger sides and 5% on all rear windows. You don't have to go that dark to feel the heat suppression but I love the privacy it gives me, totally worth it either way. On top of the tint work the hospitality here is great. I went with the 3M ceramic IR film with 50% for the front windshield and 15% all around. It makes a huge difference for blocking out sunlight and heat from entering the 4Runner. I like that it's dark enough for privacy, but not too dark that you can't see at night. As for the front windshield, I appreciate that it's tinted enough to block out the sun and not too dark that other drivers can't see me.
