Just ordered a bahn mi and pho to go and it turned out well. Sandwich was stuffed and soup was full Quick and easy service
The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is a nice, dim, sleek feel. The service, incredible. Very attentive wait staff. The music played is soft and smooth. Jazzy esque tunes with some Sade mixed in. Excellent vibe. Everything is so delicious. Most recent visit, I dined in for a solo lunch. I ordered two apps. The lemongrass chili oil steamed dumplings and the Fried Brussel sprouts. Both were incredible. The dumplings were steamed (you can also order fried) with Napa cabbage, chicken and herbs. The addition of the chili oil offers such elevation. Gingery, chili, crispy goodness. Highly recommend. A small app for two, a nice portion for one. The Crispy brussel sprouts are deep fried with butter, garlic and sweet chili sauce topped with peanut crunch. One bite and my salivary glands went to heaven. The sweetness compliments the sprouts beautifully. Highly highly recommend. Upon finishing the dumplings, I added the sprouts to the chili oil and again, the flavors were unbelievable. I honestly didn't want it to end. I'll be back soon! A perfect lunch and I was left feeling quite full.
Location: 3715 Broadway, Astoria NY 11103. Ambiance: few seating options. Clean and spacious l. Service: above normal and very accommodating. Food: This noodle bowl presents a harmonious balance of flavors and textures. The round steak and Angus brisket are tender. The beef broth is the highlight--deeply savory, with a clean finish. Rice noodles provide a soft, neutral base that carries the broth well, while the garnish of cilantro, scallion, and onion adds freshness, brightness and crunch. Overall, it is a thoughtfully composed dish that delivers both comfort and refinement. Im excited to reorder come winter season.
The egg rolls didn't have enough filling in my opinion. If it had more, it would be a solid egg roll. I got the meatball pho and my friend got the bun bo hue. The bun bo hue was missing shrimp paste so we asked for that and it fixed the problem. However, my pho was pretty bland and adding shrimp paste didn't get time the flavors I wanted. I ended up leaving a lot of the broth and noodles behind. I think if they figure out how to make the flavors bolder, this would be a solid choice compared to other NYC phos.
Came in for drinks and apps. Chill vibe, very cute decor. Service was slow and drink was meh.
I came here for lunch with friends on a Sunday afternoon and it was delicious. Located in Astoria, this spot offers authentic Viet food and a great ambiance. Casual, and with great service, it's the perfect spot to go to with friends. I got a bowl of their steak & brisket pho (and I added in meatballs) as well as their taro fries & chicken wings and edamame to share for appetizers. The appetizers were great snacks, and the pho really hit the spot. Portions were good and they were so generous with their meats in the pho. Great spot for Viet food and I would definitely come back to try some of their other items.
Came back here for drinks. Missed HH (5-7pm) but that's okay. Pinebender: it's a sour, but not as cloyingly sweet because of the thyme. I liked this since I was in a mood for a sweeter cocktail. Yellow jeans: this was the bartenders menu favorite, but I thought it tasted like a watered down pineapple juice drink. Lychee beer: this was a hit! If you like the German grapefruit beer, you'd like this. Lucky buddha: a solid beer, crisp and medium-bodied. Didn't really taste citrus notes or any different from a good beer.
Came here for dinner with some friends. Servers were very attentive and pleasant. I ordered the number 22 district pho, and my friends ordered the chicken pho district pho, and Fried chicken wings with taro fries. The district pho came out with the meat still slightly raw (authentic, cook rest in broth) so you know they know what theyre doing. They had a nice broth and it was served with some meatballs and bone marrow. Very worth it for $22. I highly recommend. The taro fries were also very good. Nothing was soggy or burnt, just right and a good flavor too, similar to Terra's taro chips. Overall, I would definitely back here if I'm in the area craving pho.
I dined here with friends, mainly because they have good vegetarian options (vegetarian pho!) for a friend. Great food; my boyfriend loved the shaking beef that is served on a cast iron skillet. My bun bo hue was good too but quite salty/salty taste lingering on my tongue for a while after. Apps were good but on the pricey side for the small portions, but entrees were big portions!
We were in the area and craving pho, so a quick Yelp search and a phone call to confirm that they had high chairs for toddlers brought us to District Saigon. We were seated and provided a high chair tight away. They also provided a fork, spoon, bowl and plate for the baby to use, which were the plastic (but the take out kind of cutlery); I appreciated that. The ambiance borders trendy, but still homey. I saw that they had an extensive cocktail list that I'd like to come back and try. On this though, I had the Vietnamese iced coffee, which was very good - strong and sweet (but not overly so). A had the Thai iced tea and the lychee soda; also very good. We started off with the Vietnamese crepe. It is served with lettuce, mint, basil, cucumbers and pickled carrot with a side of fish sauce, and it was delicious. It's a big appetizer, so definitely shareable. I had the round steak and angus brisket pho. There was almost too much meat in it, in the best way possible. A ordered the District Pho, which comes with brisket, meatballs and a piece of bone marrow. The broth is light, but flavorful, a little oily but not in a bad way. A said that the broth tastes cleaner than other pho spots that we've been to. All in all, a great spot for a good Viet meal. Hopefully, will be able to come back soon to try the cocktails, which sounds good from their descriptions.
Best Vietnamese I Ever Had! Laughing because it's the first time I tried Vietnamese cuisine - not sure how I missed this. The atmosphere is just gorgeous, simple and very Zen. I was comfortable immediately and the friendly staff is quite professional. My water glass never went below half-way, a dropped napkin was replaced in seconds. The food is amazing - so delicious, well-seasoned and a range of dishes all new to me. Of course, I wanted to try the pho but it was a hot summer day and didn't want soup, but they offer a wok tossed pho which was so good. The menu has interesting selections and the variety will please all palates.
Came in on a cold night earlier this week. Perfect temperature to have some warm pho. We tried the district pho, chicken wings + taro fries, vietnamese coffee as well as the chicken pho (latter 2 not pictured). The district pho was delicious. The bone marrow added an level of creaminess that was very welcoming. The taro chips were addictive! We could not stop eating them. The chicken wings were okay, crispy which I appreciated but a tad bit salty for my liking. I did not have the chicken pho or vietnamese coffee but heard positive reviews from others. The restaurant itself was cute. There is a mural on the wall and decorations. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and we had a nice time overall.
The pho was very very good ! But I love the summer rolls here ! These are my favorite summer rolls ! Service was excellent and accommodating . the ambiance is very chill. I am definitely coming back here.
It's my second time here, but I didn't get to write a review the first time. The prices are a bit steep for pho, which is what I ordered. Also got the spring rolls, too, which was tasty with the sauce given. The portion size was fair, and I was happy with it. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated. It's very modernized, and it goes with the neighborhood. I'm not sure if I will be returning as it doesn't beat the pho place that I usually go to. read more

Food: 4/5 Stopped by for dinner and ordered 2 steak angus phos. We both thought it was phenomenal. It might be one of the better/best phos in the area. The broth was hearty and had lots of depth. It also came with a very generous portion of noodles and bean sprouts. Definitely will be my "go-to" spot for pho in the area.. Ambiance: 4/5 Very big dining area and clean! Very cute casual date spot. Service: 5/5 Great attentive staff. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. read more
-friendly service -flavorful broth for veggie (you can also ask to make it spicy!!!) and beef pho -beef is on the thicker side compared to other places where they give sliced beef, so now you know -love the interior, nice and dim and well spaced while able to seat a variety of parties -prices on par with pretty much all other pho spots -serving size is ginormous, as expected and appreciated -they give the whole bottle of sauce if you ask for some on the side which is fab bc I go through half of it by far one of my fave pho spots (esp in astoria) read more

It was my first time trying this restaurant and I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was timely. The staff was friendly and helpful with food -related questions. We ordered a couple of appetizers, pho and fried rice as the main course. The Thai Ice tea and the Jasmine tea were yummy, too. The portions were super filling and I even took some home. I highly recommend the spring rolls and the short rib fried rice. I look forward to revisiting this restaurant and would recommend it! read more
Located in the heart of Astoria, District Saigon brings high quality Vietnamese cuisine to the area. We started with the driest with brisket loaded on top. Definitely a must try. We ordered the sauce on the side. The fries are perfectly crisp. The brisket is delicious, the smokiness is pronounce and the flavors are popping. The sauce gives it an extra kick; it all works perfectly. The crispy spring rolls are delicious. I think the wrap is made of taro? The rolls themselves are pretty big, usually a warning sign (trying to compensate for something?), but these were great; do not skip. The broth for the pho has a very clean taste, not too salty or fatty. The noodles are fresh, great texture and flavor. The beef is on par with most pho places, nothing special. I would have loved if the bone marrow were longer and cut longitudinally. Service is friendly and fast. The overall ambiance is very casual. Seating is spacious. District Saigon is pretty pricey for Vietnamese food. For two beers, two orders of pho, the garlic noodles, that set us back over $100. Quality is great, everything was well executed, would come back. read more

Very memorable pho and I would say, one of the best restaurants in Astoria! For an extremely reasonable price, you can get a huge bowl of hearty pho (beef, chicken, or vegetable-based) filled with a heaping portion of fresh noodles and perfectly cooked protein. This is exactly what is needed on a cold winter night, a stressful summer night--or really any time of year! Definitely recommend checking this locale out! read more
Hello everyone reading this review. District saigon is a great place to eat and enjoy a nice time. The seatings are comfy and pretty, the staffs are welcoming. The timing for the food is even better. Also the table is very smooth, pretty structure. We got our drinks, our appetizers when we finished, then everything the main. So the table isnt over crowded. Broth is amazing and pipping hot. We love the taro fries and the sauce it came with. The pancake is also very tasty. The orange sauce is better with each taste and dip. Summer roll is so refreshing i didnt hate the mint one bit. Everything is filling and we were stuffed! The bathroom is nice too bc its private(2). read more

Staff were sweet and attentive. Loved the lemonade also. Pancake was amazing, from how crisp some parts were to the flavor of the fillings inside. My first time trying a pancake and wow, did it blow my mind. Loved all the fresh veggies you can add to it. Don't forget to dip it in that fish sauce, so good. read more
Decided to come here to get our Vietnamese food fix. Ordered the lychee lime drink and it was pretty strong. The appetizers were: edamame, summer rolls and papaya salad. I liked the edamame- it had a good flavorful taste and isn't the plain boiled type. The entrees were decent. We had: vegan pho with oxtails (good flavor), round steak & angus brisket pho (another good choice), district pho (flavorful), pork chops (yummy - especially the fish sauce!), and banh mi (average). read more
1 star - Service. The service was good, waitress was nice, friendly and attentive. 1 star - ambience and setting. The seatings has a good distance between each other, not crowded. Makes the dining experience much more comfortable. 1 star - the drinks were good. The down part is food weren't as authentic as expected. More of a fusion. The broth was tasteless, it tasted like boiled salt water. But their rice noodles were cooked to perfection! That I must give it credit! read more

After a long day of work, I looked up a place that serves my favorite comfort dish, Pho. District Saigon had good reviews and not far from where I was. When I came in, I was promptly greeted and seated. I was lucky to go during happy hour, so I asked the server which drink I should order and he suggested Lychee Lime. It's delicious but definitely tart. I love lychee, so I would get it again. Then, the appetizer was steamed lemongrass chili oil dumplings. I loved every bite. And the chili oil with the crunch added great texture. Lastly and certainly not least, the Pho. I really enjoyed. The broth had a nice flavor, there was plenty of meat, and it didn't need much. I would love more cilantro, but that's just a personal preference. I will be back again. They have a brisket Pho that is said to have a nice smoky taste and now I'm curious. read more
Delicious Pho restaurant in LIC! The seating and interior look great and they keep the space so clean. The waitress and staff were super nice and accommodating. The smoked brisket pho is a very interesting take on pho, and it was great. Felt like I just smoked a cigar after taking a couple bites. Actually, I preferred the standard broth of the District Pho which was very tasty. Also the amount of meat was outstanding. Will definitely come back here whenever I'm back in this area. I would highly recommend this place! read more

The inside is pretty and the service was quick. Ordered the Wood and Herb smoked brisket pho and ..... i wouldnt get it again. It was an off taste that did not belong in pho. I would try their other phos on the menu. read more

We were craving some pho and found this location nearby. It was perfect timing because District Saigon opens up at 5pm! Nice decorative Vietnamese restaurant! The service was friendly and quick!! We ordered one chicken pho, side order of beef bone marrow, vegetarian dumplings (steamed) and one Thai tea!! The chicken pho was good - it can be better if they added some more onions and more chicken portions!! They also give small plate of sprouts and chilies however I wish they give fresh basil instead like other Pho locations or like in Vietnam!! the bone marrow was delicious but it needed to be cooked more ... and needed some salt! The veggie steamed dumplings and the Thai tea was great!! read more

I wish I liked this type of pho but it's unfortunately just not my jam... I've tried multiple times and the various types of pho's they offer but something about their broth just doesn't do it for me... However, their steak? fried rice is amazing and delicious. Also, their customer service can't be beat. They once delivered just chopsticks to me because I called to say they forgot it in my order! (I had just moved into the apartment and had absolutely no utensils ) read more
I came here the other night with my friend for dinner. We got cocktails for Happy Hour, got an appetizer to share, and ordered Pho for our entree. The drinks were delicious and strong. Our Pho was also on point! For our entree, we both ordered District Pho, which had slices of round steak, beef meatballs, and a roasted bone marrow. One tip is to remember to bury the raw slices of meat to the bottom of the bowl so that it will cook! The broth was rich and I enjoyed this dish a lot. The only downside was with the appetizer we ordered. I was very excited to try the Chicken Wings and Taro Fries. However, this appetizer was beyond salty that my friend and I couldn't finish it. If they used less sauce, it would have been perfect. I am hoping that this is was a one time thing. The staff are all friendly and always checked in on us throughout our meal and refilled our water. Despite the appetizer being a letdown, I would come back to try other dishes like Obama's Bun Cha. read more
I was craving some Vietnamese pho with my mom! Glad we found this location near Astoria ! I got the district pho and I do feel like the noodles could've been a little bit longer. However, the taste of the broth was hitting all the points that a regular pho would have. My mother had the wooden herb smoked brisket for which was the star of the show. I gave it a little tryand it had a very delicious smoky flavor I highly recommend getting this pho. I don't think I've had anything like it in any other Vietnamese place and I usually do enjoy the staple dishes, but this one topped the staple pho. The chocolate cake was nothing to brag about. It was a little disappointing and given that it was a hot, molten lava cake, and it did not come accompanied with ice cream so the contrast between the hot and cold wasn't really there.. the ambience was nice very welcoming. I sat by the window and people watched as I ate my food. I would definitely come here again. read more
Came on Sunday for dinner with a party of 5. Definitely feels classier than the average Vietnamese restaurant. Chicken wings & taro fries- must get! Taro fries were crispy and the fish sauce & garlic gives it a nice kick Crispy spring rolls- love the addition of crab & shrimp which I don't usually see at other places Summer rolls- standard summer roll still yum Bun Bo Hue- the noodles were thicker than expected. Some place makes this with pork knuckles but I did like the tang/kick from the spicy lemongrass broth. Portion was big so I felt full Appetizers came out pretty fast but the time between our appetizers and pho arrival was long and slow. It wasn't that busy and other tables that arrived after us was getting all their food. Overall, nice atmosphere and appetizers were great! read more

Every time I'm around Astoria, I always think of District Saigon. It's a restaurant that has a special place in my heart because of how comforting and tasty the Pho is. I think if you can, please try everything on the menu because you surely will not be disappointed. Favorite appetizers from here are summer rolls, banh xeo, and taro fries. Summers rolls are small and consists of vermicelli, shrimp, and lettuce. Each ingredient is proportioned well so you won't be getting one more than the other. It is well balances and is so refreshing to have with their peanut sauce. Banh xeo is crispy/tasty and with this dish, the fish sauce is very important so I must say the sauce didn't disappoint. Lastly, T A R O F R I E S. I didn't know I can love taro this much. Their taro fries are topped with a red powder and served with a spicy mayo sauce. Phenomenal. Pho is amazing, currently obsessed with the meatball pho. Their district pho is also good and you get a juicy piece of bone marrow. Chicken pho is amazing as well. read more

In one word, mediocre. Went there with two others on a Wednesday night, and the place was at 25% occupancy. We ordered 3 drinks (Vietnamese coffee, overly sweet with very weak coffee taste, and 2 cocktails that my group found weak), 3 appetizers, and 3 entrees, for around $50/person, which is not bad. Portions were decent (left full but not satisfied). For the food: - Vietnamese pancake with meat (eg bahn xeo) was flavorless with a sauce that's very weak - Chicken wings were too salty without being flavorful; taro fries were decent, crispy but heavy - Summer roll was bland with the rice wrapper being too thick/hard. Seems like they just took it out of the fridge recently - District pho: soup lacking flavor, noodles were heavy, and meat was chewy - Lemongrass grilled pork chop: Somehow both salty and mild flavors, but probably the best of the dishes - Bun crispy catfish: the catfish was well cooked, the sauce for this bun was overly sweet. Overall, meh for the price point. Wouldn't return. Service was on point though! read more

This place is my go to place to eat in Astoria. I have been to so many pho places in the city and this one tops it off. The pho broth soothes my soul and my troubled tummy most of the time so I always get one to go. Lemon grass dumplings, beef pho and the ice tea are my go to! Please try!!! Service is amazing always! read more

My husband and I decided to explore Astoria and on our way to Noguchi museum, we decided to stop for a quick bite. Over 700+ reviews, we decided to give this place a try. Vibe/service: 4/5 Cute little casual spot. Smell of warm broth greeted us. All servers were extremely nice. No complaints here. Menu looked simple and found a lot of things that we wanted to try. Food: 4/5 vietnamese crepe 5/5 5/5 Fresh vegetable (mint was a really nice touch), bean sprout, cucumber, lettuce, pickled carrots gave a super fresh flavor and balanced really well with soft and savory crepe which had ground pork and shrimp. The dipping sauce was sweet and tangy and worked really well with the crepe. This is a messy dish but extremely beautiful and healthy dish. Highly recommend! Bom bo hue: 3/5 Broth was a little light on the flavor and noodles were a bit soggy. Soup was not hot enough but the spice level was just right Round steak & angus brisket: 4/5 Extremely flavorful and warm broth which worked really well with all the toppings and noodle. Broth tasted like homemade. Nothing pretentious, just a nice comfy hot beefy broth. Rice noodle was cooked to perfection. My only complaint is that i wish the briskets were bit more tender. Few pieces were a bit hard to chew. Pretty solid place with an awesome crepe as appetizer and a nice bowl of pho. Great service!! Def recommend on a cold winter day! read more

I think I might best describe this place as next level Pho. When the chicken pho is organic you know you're going fancy. To my surprise it was really good, which made me feel better about the prices. Everything was good, from the Vietnamese crepe to the spring rolls, bone marrow pho and super duper organic chicken pho, Thai iced tea, and clean dining area. So, yep, you will pay more but you're getting good food and a dining experience which is a lot these days. read more

Came here recently for outdoor dining- around 12:30 on a Sat. Service was fast and friendly! Close to the broadway (N) or steinway (R) subway stops. I was craving pho so of course I got the round beef and angus pho (I added tripe and tendon- worth it). The pho was so good and it was a good amount for the price. (~15) I would come back to get the other types of pho or banh mi (viet sandwich). read more
