Just ordered a bahn mi and pho to go and it turned out well. Sandwich was stuffed and soup was full Quick and easy service
The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is a nice, dim, sleek feel. The service, incredible. Very attentive wait staff. The music played is soft and smooth. Jazzy esque tunes with some Sade mixed in. Excellent vibe. Everything is so delicious. Most recent visit, I dined in for a solo lunch. I ordered two apps. The lemongrass chili oil steamed dumplings and the Fried Brussel sprouts. Both were incredible. The dumplings were steamed (you can also order fried) with Napa cabbage, chicken and herbs. The addition of the chili oil offers such elevation. Gingery, chili, crispy goodness. Highly recommend. A small app for two, a nice portion for one. The Crispy brussel sprouts are deep fried with butter, garlic and sweet chili sauce topped with peanut crunch. One bite and my salivary glands went to heaven. The sweetness compliments the sprouts beautifully. Highly highly recommend. Upon finishing the dumplings, I added the sprouts to the chili oil and again, the flavors were unbelievable. I honestly didn't want it to end. I'll be back soon! A perfect lunch and I was left feeling quite full.

Food: This noodle bowl presents a harmonious balance of flavors and textures. The round steak and Angus brisket are tender. The beef broth is the highlight--deeply savory, with a clean finish. Rice noodles provide a soft, neutral base that carries the broth well, while the garnish of cilantro, scallion, and onion adds freshness, brightness and crunch. Overall, it is a thoughtfully composed dish that delivers both comfort and refinement. Im excited to reorder come winter season.
The egg rolls didn't have enough filling in my opinion. If it had more, it would be a solid egg roll. I got the meatball pho and my friend got the bun bo hue. The bun bo hue was missing shrimp paste so we asked for that and it fixed the problem. However, my pho was pretty bland and adding shrimp paste didn't get time the flavors I wanted. I ended up leaving a lot of the broth and noodles behind. I think if they figure out how to make the flavors bolder, this would be a solid choice compared to other NYC phos.

I came here for lunch with friends on a Sunday afternoon and it was delicious. Located in Astoria, this spot offers authentic Viet food and a great ambiance. Casual, and with great service, it's the perfect spot to go to with friends. I got a bowl of their steak & brisket pho (and I added in meatballs) as well as their taro fries & chicken wings and edamame to share for appetizers. The appetizers were great snacks, and the pho really hit the spot. Portions were good and they were so generous with their meats in the pho. Great spot for Viet food and I would definitely come back to try some of their other items.
Came back here for drinks. Missed HH (5-7pm) but that's okay. Pinebender: it's a sour, but not as cloyingly sweet because of the thyme. I liked this since I was in a mood for a sweeter cocktail. Yellow jeans: this was the bartenders menu favorite, but I thought it tasted like a watered down pineapple juice drink. Lychee beer: this was a hit! If you like the German grapefruit beer, you'd like this. Lucky buddha: a solid beer, crisp and medium-bodied. Didn't really taste citrus notes or any different from a good beer.
Came here for dinner with some friends. Servers were very attentive and pleasant. I ordered the number 22 district pho, and my friends ordered the chicken pho district pho, and Fried chicken wings with taro fries. The district pho came out with the meat still slightly raw (authentic, cook rest in broth) so you know they know what theyre doing. They had a nice broth and it was served with some meatballs and bone marrow. Very worth it for $22. I highly recommend. The taro fries were also very good. Nothing was soggy or burnt, just right and a good flavor too, similar to Terra's taro chips. Overall, I would definitely back here if I'm in the area craving pho.
I dined here with friends, mainly because they have good vegetarian options (vegetarian pho!) for a friend. Great food; my boyfriend loved the shaking beef that is served on a cast iron skillet. My bun bo hue was good too but quite salty/salty taste lingering on my tongue for a while after. Apps were good but on the pricey side for the small portions, but entrees were big portions!
We were in the area and craving pho, so a quick Yelp search and a phone call to confirm that they had high chairs for toddlers brought us to District Saigon. We were seated and provided a high chair tight away. They also provided a fork, spoon, bowl and plate for the baby to use, which were the plastic (but the take out kind of cutlery); I appreciated that. The ambiance borders trendy, but still homey. I saw that they had an extensive cocktail list that I'd like to come back and try. On this though, I had the Vietnamese iced coffee, which was very good - strong and sweet (but not overly so). A had the Thai iced tea and the lychee soda; also very good. We started off with the Vietnamese crepe. It is served with lettuce, mint, basil, cucumbers and pickled carrot with a side of fish sauce, and it was delicious. It's a big appetizer, so definitely shareable. I had the round steak and angus brisket pho. There was almost too much meat in it, in the best way possible. A ordered the District Pho, which comes with brisket, meatballs and a piece of bone marrow. The broth is light, but flavorful, a little oily but not in a bad way. A said that the broth tastes cleaner than other pho spots that we've been to. All in all, a great spot for a good Viet meal. Hopefully, will be able to come back soon to try the cocktails, which sounds good from their descriptions.
Best Vietnamese I Ever Had! Laughing because it's the first time I tried Vietnamese cuisine - not sure how I missed this. The atmosphere is just gorgeous, simple and very Zen. I was comfortable immediately and the friendly staff is quite professional. My water glass never went below half-way, a dropped napkin was replaced in seconds. The food is amazing - so delicious, well-seasoned and a range of dishes all new to me. Of course, I wanted to try the pho but it was a hot summer day and didn't want soup, but they offer a wok tossed pho which was so good. The menu has interesting selections and the variety will please all palates.
Came in on a cold night earlier this week. Perfect temperature to have some warm pho. We tried the district pho, chicken wings + taro fries, vietnamese coffee as well as the chicken pho (latter 2 not pictured). The district pho was delicious. The bone marrow added an level of creaminess that was very welcoming. The taro chips were addictive! We could not stop eating them. The chicken wings were okay, crispy which I appreciated but a tad bit salty for my liking. I did not have the chicken pho or vietnamese coffee but heard positive reviews from others. The restaurant itself was cute. There is a mural on the wall and decorations. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and we had a nice time overall.
The pho was very very good ! But I love the summer rolls here ! These are my favorite summer rolls ! Service was excellent and accommodating . the ambiance is very chill. I am definitely coming back here.

I wanted to love this place since I moved nearby, but I now know to look elsewhere for Viet food. I do wonder if I got lower quality food since I ordered takeout, but I'm not interested to try again. The rice noodles for the bun cha were rough. Refrigerated at least once and not fully heated up again to be bouncy. The egg roll and pork patties were definitely pre-fried way in advance. They were too chewy and crumbly. The banh mi doesn't use a baguette bread but rather a roll style bread, so it's really dense. The pork cold cut had dried edges. What tainted the taste the most is the soggy, semi-sour cucumber. Only pro is that this was all ready within 10 minutes. But I think that's because nothing was fresh. read more
District Saigon, a Vietnamese restaurant, was a nice surprise in Astoria. I am pleased to say this place had a great "perfect pair" lunch deal for $16. You get your choice of pho: vegan, beef, or chicken and half a sandwich of your choice. We both got the round steak pho and one traditional banh mi and one chicken banh mi. Honestly, having a half sandwich and a small bowl of pho really hit the spot and was surprisingly filling. Traditional Banh Mi: (4/5) sandwich was tasty and had the cold cuts with the pickled carrots. If they toasted the bread then I think it would make it even better. Chicken Banh Mi: (3/5) chicken had a nice lemongrass flavor but overall was just okay. The traditional one was much better. Round Steak Pho: (4/5) the broth was nice and lighter than my usual beef pho but still tasty. I like my pho with a wedge of lime, fresh basil and bean sprouts. So if they forget to give it to you, just ask for it. Although the restaurant may seem narrow but it's long and has plenty of tables in the back. The music is a little loud and club like but otherwise, I had a great experience here. So if you're in Astoria, I would highly suggest this place for their great lunch deal. Can't be beat! read more

The best Vegan Pho I have ever had - Pho get about the others! This cooler weather was perfect as I was craving some hot soup. Drove past District Saigon and turned around. Better than I could have imagined. The Pho - Vegan with a delicious, light broth; I could taste the medley of toasted spices, dried mushrooms and veggies with a hint of miso. It was just fantastic. The noodles were amazing and the basil just took it to a whole new level. The appetizers - the tofu satay was lovely. Grilled just right with a light sauce. The summer rolls with the shrimp were a bit bland. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee was strong and well made. Just the right amount of sugar ( not too sweet) and cream and potent!!!!! Ploy was our superb server and bartender. She effortlessly and courteously took care of four tables with a smile and kept out water glasses refilled and she brought us extra limes and napkins; very proactive, polite and efficient. The vibe was chill. Nice mellow music playing in the background. Lovely bar and decor btw. The ladies next to us got the steak and brisket pho and it looked ravishing. Definitely going to try the dumpling appetizer, the buns and banh mi next time. Hooked on the Vegan pho. Simply gorgeous. Restaurant was huge for NYC! Initially thing I noticed was the cute interior, but the table I sat in was unfortunately not cleaned well. It was a sticky surface that got on my cardigan. In terms of food, I got the round steak and brisket pho and the traditional banh mi. The banh mi wasn't amazing, but I think I generally am not a fan of pate (or the black peppery taste at least). Pho was satisfactory. Generally good portions, but it was still overall quite expensive for what it was. read more

Went here for gluten-free options and ordered the district pho. The meat was so tender and the broth was delicious. I wanted to try some of the gluten-free appetizers and ordered the crispy spring rolls and chicken wings with taro fries. However when we ordered them ( both are marked as GLUTEN-FREE on the actual menu) our server informed us that they use the same frier as non gluten-free items. This made me feel a little nervous so I canceled them and stuck with the pho. Thankfully the pho was safe but it's so weird that they advertise the appetizers as gluten-free when they're in the same fryer/oil. Just an FYI for anyone with gluten allergies, double check when you order! read more
Delicious hearty meal, loved the wood and herb smoked broth was so flavorful! The catfish bahn mi was so good and crispy spring rolls. Also had the gin lime gimlet from HH menu, so refreshing! District Saigon is a modern vietnamese restaurant in Astoria with an intimate ambiance. The place is very clean with comfy seating, decent bathroom and chic decors. Highly recommend coming on a date or girls night out. ＊Bun Cha I always go for bún in summer as it is more refreshing to slurp up soupless noodles. I picked the one topped with char-grilled pork patties and spring rolls. The spring roll is impressive as it is made with crab, shrimp, pork, vermicelli, taro, mushroom. While the patties are flavorful yet unfortunately dry. Thai basil adds extra depth of herbic aroma to the dish. I enjoyed the bowl with drizzles of fish sauce. ＊Round Steak & Angus Brisket Pho The beef broth is bursting with rich meaty flavor. I think the soup already shines on its own, but you can add some shiracha for a more umami flavor. The meat is tender and comes with decent portion. read more
3.5 overall. The restaurant is bigger than it looks initially as there is lots of tables, comfortably spaced out, in the back. I also like how the sinks are outside the bathroom, so you can wash your hands without taking up a bathroom. Service was very friendly and attentive. Everything was quick in coming out, and the entrees were timed to come out once we finished our appetizer. The Archie (non alcoholic) was fresh, though a bit on the sweet side for me personally. I enjoyed the mango basil seeds for the texture. The Summer Rolls could use a better balance of the other filling, as it was 2/3 lettuce. The peanut sauce has great flavor though. The Brisket Pho was very smoky, with tender smoky brisket. It came in a huge bowl and I couldn't finish all the vermicelli. There was so much flavor that I didn't need the hoisin, though I added some sriracha for more kick. Definitely need to enjoy extra smoky food to enjoy this, 'cause you'll be tasting smoke for the rest of the day. The food overall is nothing I would go out of my way to go to, but the service and vibe makes it a decent option if you're in the area. read more

Very nice spot. The ambience is nice here (even though somebody blew up the bathrooms... both at the same time, somehow), I was seated immediately (they open 12 noon and I got there about 15 minutes later), and my server quickly took my order. She's really on the ball. My Summer Rolls came out in a little more than 5 minutes, extremely fast for that particular item where other places take 15 minutes to put them together. I love that they included mint (as they should), though I wasn't crazy about the peanut sauce. I think it was really heavy on Hoisin, and I prefer a sesame based peanut sauce... but that's just my preference. If the Owner is curious, they can try the Summer Rolls at Pho Best in Flushing for that style peanut sauce. My Traditional Banh Mi was good too... they use these round sliced pork slices, like the kind you might fry in a pan and throw on an English Muffin for breakfast. A pork that is home cooked and cut fresh would have been more classy, but the taste was OK. Photo attached of the Summer Rolls... very nice presentation. read more

Tried something new today! I ordered takeout from District Saigon and opted for the Vegan Bun Bo Hue. A dish not often found in a vegan form. It was very filling, delicious, and priced well. I even had some soup leftover. I hope to try their tofu banh mi next time if I'm in town. I cannot speak to the service or ambiance, but if you are looking for a reliable takeout option - I highly recommend this. I do wish they had veggie spring rolls! read more

Food: I come from California, the land of endless bomb pho so I'm a bit of a pho snob. Not bad Pho for the East Coast. The soup was pretty good and noodles pretty authentic to Vietnamese Pho Noodles. The crispy egg rolls with Taro were really good was well. Service: Service was great. Water refilled whenever it was lacking. Food came quick. Food came nice, fresh, and hot. Ambiance: Small restaurant, but cool vibes. Has a little bar and stretches out to the back with more seats. Overall, very tasty for New York as it's lacking many good Pho spots. Would definitely recommend if you're craving Pho in the Astoria area. read more
Great date spot! Came here for the pho and I had the vegan pho with catfish on the side. Tasty! The thinly sliced beef and bone marrow was also good. We picked the wrong drink but will try again. Fast service. Loved the summer rolls. A little chewy but delicious. read more
