"District rico's lomo saltado" ( not a lomo saltado at all)
Andro R.

Call it something else, but Lomo saltado... not worth it!!!! Doesn't look or taste like lomo saltado... next time don't bother slicing the tomato... it was more of a beef stew than lomo saltado...

Ilsia M.

Salad was spoiled, asked cashier to replace he place fresh salad on same container on top of spoiled salad. So disgusted

It filled up quickly after we arrived. The rooftop is beautiful and fun. The staff was phenomenal. In addition to providing great service, they were also personable and a pleasure to chat with. My friend and I ordered the following: Maracuya high ball Pisco sour Anticucheria Cebiche Scallops Both of the cocktails were excellent and well-balanced. Mine was the pisco sour, but I had a sip of my friend's maracuya high ball. We enjoyed them so much that we decided to order another round, especially since neither of us were driving that day. The food was equally delicious. The salmon anticucheria was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth. The cebiche tasted fresh and the scallops were cooked to perfection. Loved our visit at Amazonia and would happily return!

Ceviche Nikkei, beef heart, filet and mushroom skewers and their scallops. Also got a couple of cocktails which became a Herculean task to get a straw from anyone. I scored after the third request. Yay? The ceviche was tuna and had so much sinew that after two pieces I gave up. The skewers came out and were so sauced up that you couldn't taste anything, and they were luke warm at best. Lastly, the scallops had so much Parmesan that that is all you taste. Let's just say that I couldn't stay after that, we paid and decided to go to a good restaurant, maybe McDonald's?

Really great pisco drinks - I've tried a few variations which have been great but really need to actually try the original pisco sour. I'll be back for sure to try their food!

I had high hopes for El Secreto De Rosita given the unique concept of blending Palestinian and…read morePeruvian cuisine, but the experience fell well short of expectations. The food was average at best and significantly overpriced for the quality. We paid $30 each for ají de gallina and arroz con pollo--both dishes lacked depth and were nowhere near worth that price point. The ceviche ($27) was bland and underwhelming, missing the brightness and flavor you expect from a staple like this. Even the chicha morada felt like a stretch at an extra $10. The issues weren't limited to Peruvian dishes. The kafta sandwich was dry and completely lacking flavor, and a simple salad my wife ordered came with poorly seasoned dressing. Overall, the kitchen seemed to miss the mark on both sides of the fusion concept. To make matters worse, two classic Peruvian dishes--anticuchos and jalea mixta--were unavailable. The explanation given was that they had run out after Saturday night service, which is hard to justify when we visited at 1:30 PM on a Sunday. The restaurant was nearly empty at that time, which in hindsight should have been a warning sign. All in, we spent $225 for a family of four including tip, which is more than double what the experience was worth. I would rate this place 2 out of 5 stars and would not return.

I'm glad we did because it made our venue decision so much easier and we decided not to go with Inca Social as a result. The food was not bad - some of it was pretty good but some were ok. I enjoyed the seafood rice. Not the best I've had but still was quite good. Empanadas were ok. We just went to a yelp event at Mpanadas and enjoyed their empanadas more. Chicharrons were tasty but not what I expected. Maybe if they just called it roast pork belly or something. I've had chicharrons that are pork rinds that are super crunchy and crunchy pork belly in Peru and other places but this felt different somehow. We got a couple of other things as well that were ok. The experience itself was very strange. We had really liked the vibe from outside when we've passed it on walks including their fun instagrammable sign that says "it's a vibe" but I did not have a good experience upon walking in. We stood for a while waiting near the host podium. Other diners were looking at us as we tried to see if we could wave someone down. Eventually we ask the bartender if we can just sit down. She said usually the hostess needs to seat us. We said sure but we've been waiting but it doesn't seem like someone is coming so she said ok then go ahead and sit. I pick a booth because it's a cozier vibe. In less than a minute, the hostess pops up saying she had been in the bathroom and asks if we have a reservation. We said no and she said we needed to move to another table that was in the middle of the room at a table with chairs. I thought this was strange given that we were coming in around 9pm but thought maybe they had a huge party coming in so didn't fuss. No one else came for those booths for the duration of our meal. I was a bit perplexed but let it be. The server started out great. She was friendly and made some recommendations upon request. Once the food came out though, we did not get serviced again. Our water never got refilled. Plates sat on our table. I had to stare into the kitchen area where she and another server were sort of folding napkins (very slowly) but mostly chatting. There was a ton of socializing going on in the kitchen area including the hostess. I don't really care about this unless I have to work to get someone's attention and I don't see a ton of customers requiring help. We skip the water request and ask for the bill while skipping dessert. The food is not bad - some good and some ok. The experience left much to be desired so between these factors...I didn't feel excited to spend thousands of dollars on an event where we may or may not have a great experience. It was a bummer given the convenience of the location and seemingly cool vibe of the place. Maybe next time! Giving 3 stars vs 2 due to partner having enjoyed a hh here... maybe the service was a big glitch that night and maybe the hh menu is worth trying.

We ended up sitting at a table and enjoyed a variety of dishes along with some happy hour drinks. The ambiance is clean, modern, and pretty cool. The service was fairly quick overall, and our food arrived fresh without much waiting. My first drink was the white sangria, which was well-balanced, moderately sweet, and refreshing. The wines we tried also had great flavor. The happy hour deals on the alcohol menu are especially generous, so I highly recommend taking advantage of them. The ceviche sampler included traditional, cremoso, and callejero. Each ceviche was unique and packed with flavor. My personal favorite was the street-style ceviche, callejero. The tostones, or crispy fried plantains, were light and crunchy. My partner isn't a big fan of mayo-forward sauces, but he really enjoyed the crab salad topping because it paired well with the tostone. My favorite was the shrimp topping as the shrimp were perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. The conchitas a la parmesana was another interesting dish featuring seared scallops. They were grilled with a creamy Parmesan sauce and served with ciabatta. I found that the sauce was a little overpowering and took away from the scallop itself, but I really enjoyed eating it with the ciabatta. Lastly, we ordered two empanadas: one chicken and one made with a mix of sirloin and tenderloin. The dough was a little too oily for my taste, but it was thin and flaky. The chicken and beef fillings had slightly different seasonings and textures, and both were enjoyable. If I could add one thing, I wish our server had explained more about the menu or drinks when she asked whether it was our first time there. She also wasn't around the table consistently, which made it a little difficult to order additional drinks and dishes. Other than that, we really enjoyed the meal, and I'm glad we came here. I'd love to come back for brunch or another happy hour!
