a sandwich with a side of potato chips

Really enjoy dish gourmet, wish their gf bread was better, it always falls apart. But it's quality food, a little pricey but their chicken salad and Italian sandwiches are good.

a sandwich and chips

My daughter and I wandered in here after accidentally skipping lunch because we didn't realize Color Me Mine took so long. Starving and unable to make decisions, the person taking our order was quick to offer suggestions to my daughter who was no longer interested in a breakfast burrito because/ gasp- it had eggs in it. We came during rush hour so it did take a while to get the food. I ordered a gluten free sandwich (yay celiac disease) and when it came out, the bread was obviously not gf so I had to send it back. At this point hanger had kicked in and I was imagining what type of horrible review I could write here on Yelp to vindicate both my wait and what I was assuming would be a subpar sandwich. Boy was I thankful upon taking the first bite. The in house baked gluten free bread it just something all celiac cursed individuals need in their lives. I ordered the Buff, which has a spicy kick and my taste buds rejoiced in delight. My daughter ended up not eating all of the kids grilled cheese, not because it was on focaccia bread but because it had cheese on it. Kids- am I right? It looked pretty good though and if it wouldn't through my body into three days of celiac pain from the gluten I would have devoured that too. Another must try place for any gluten free peeps in the Boulder/north Denver metro area!

the meat on my sandwhich tasted like eating a sidewalk. and my iced latte taste like dirty milk. i would reccomend this place for people who like to eat sidewalks. funky

Sandwiches were delicious, definitely a dope stop with a wide range of selection when it comes to lunch. That said, either order ahead or be prepared to wait 20+ min for a hot sandwich. Ordered: Thanksgiving Sandwich - spot on, great with ciabatta bread! BBQ Brisket - better than expected!!

Italian sandwich with fresh mozzarella and olive spread

Overall: great lunch spot with high quality ingredients! Food: ordered their Italian sandwich and was super impressed, Italian meats were high quality, flavorful and they had a great olive spread that added some tang. Drink case has a good assortment of izze, cream Soda, etc. Restaurant: tiny, but has a few tables inside- very quaint and feels like a mom and pop.

However, there were people sitting on their outside patio. Hardy folks, I guess! My friend was nursing a sore tummy, so she just had some grilled veggies and mashed potatoes. She loves everything she's had here. It was my first time. I ordered the chicken bowl with yakisoba noodles. It was lukewarm, but that's fine for me. I think they must have microwaved it because it was steamier as you ate down the bowl. The veggies were crisp, the noodles perfect, the chicken was tender. It was spiced at what I'd call a medium level, and quite yummy. My friend then ordered their vegan chocolate pudding, which we shared. Yummy and light. My one big criticism is that they charge $4 for iced tea. I questioned it and the cashier was kind of snippy about it, but the customer behind me approached after I dispensed my tea and said she agreed it's too expensive. The meal was appropriately priced and there is plenty of food, but the drinks? C'mon. It's worth maybe $2.50. They really should reevaluate that. It's the main reason that I gave the place 4 stars instead of 5. The other people who work there were nice and helpful. I didn't grab a fork but the server who brought my bowl cheerfully went and got me a fork and napkin. Very nice. It's obviously popular, it filled up as we sat, with quite a variety of people, from babies to seniors. I might go back, but perhaps next time I'll just get water. I hope they don't charge for that!

I came here with my friend and his son on a Saturday afternoon…read more I wasnt too hungry yet as I had a good breakfast and did a very minor hike/stroll around Chautauqua Park so only wanted something light to munch on. Boychik sells Mediterranean style food and when I saw what was on their menu, I knew exactly I wanted to eat here. I lovr Mediterranean style dips, I could eat this everyday. I chose the 3 dip option and got muhummara, babaganoush and whipped feta and asked for two servings of veggie and one serving of pita. Portion size was massive so I am glad I shared with my friends. My favorite was the muhummara, that was so good and my buddy was also like wow this is sooo good!! Babaganoush was ok for me and whipped feta didnt work for me. Veggies were great and the pita was the soft, pillowy ones, which I love! Staff were helpful and order came up quick. Guy ringing me up also told me that upstairs they have plates and cutlery so no need to have my dips wrapped to-go. Overall, great food here, take it upstairs and enjoy the views! I'd definitely come back again!

While the portion is pretty decent, the price is slightly higher than other fast casual Mediterranean spots. The meats in the wrap were juicy and tender, the overall flavor was solid. I'm actually pretty impressed by the falafel. The falafel tasted very fresh, crunchy on the outside, moist, airy and crumby on the inside. I'd definitely come back for some falafel when I'm in town again!

I loved the big chandeliers and brick wall. Our server, Skylar, was fantastic. She was personable, welcoming, and enhanced the entire dining experience. My friend and I started with the churro donuts to share. These were the perfect sweet treat (because who can have brunch without something sweet for the table?) It comes with a dulce de leche and a coffee anglaise that was so delicious. For my main I went with the fireside eggs. This was exceptional! Flavourful shakshuka with perfectly poached eggs, avocado and feta served alongside naan bread. This meal was comforting and delicious without being overly filling. I can't recommend The Kitchen enough! If I'm ever back in Boulder I will definitely be back. I would love to try the lunch or dinner menu!

What started as a promising dinner turned into a disappointing experience, especially considering…read morethe restaurant's premium pricing. We were seated promptly for our 7:45 p.m. reservation. The service was excellent, and the drinks and appetizers (carrots, beets, arancini, and gnocchi) were all very good and arrived surprisingly quickly. At 8:30 p.m., we were told that our ribeye, ordered medium rare, had been overcooked to medium well. The manager apologized and said they would prepare another one. She also offered complimentary garlic fries ( very tasty) and desserts, which we appreciated. At 9:08 p.m., the replacement steak finally, but this time it was rare, possibly even blue rare. We sent it back again. At 9:15 p.m., it returned mostly medium rare, although several pieces were still noticeably undercooked. To make matters worse, the butter sauce was so overpowering that it completely masked the flavor of the beef. By this point, we were tired and declined the offer of free dessert. And more frustratingly, despite two failed attempts to properly cook their signature entree, the $155 steak, and a lengthy delay, no adjustment was offered. I politely asked if something could be done, and they removed the carrots from our bill - comping an order of carrots after mishandling a $155 steak twice seemed like a pretty weak gesture. I've dined at many excellent restaurants in my hometown of Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, and internationally. Mistakes happen, but what separates a great restaurant from an average one is how it handles them. When your prices are 10-15% higher than comparable restaurants, expectations are understandably higher as well. Would I return? Possibly. The service was excellent, and the appetizers were good enough to warrant another visit. But I would definitely think twice before ordering another steak. Overall, a disappointing experience where both the kitchen's execution and management's response should have been considerably better.

My half of the table ended up ordering one of everything in the hot tapas section of the menu and two pitchers of sangria. The tomato crostini was so nice and crisp. The focaccia was toasted to perfection, the slow roasted tomatoes had a bright and rich flavor, and the olive oil drizzled on top pulled all the flavors together. The meatballs were incredibly flavorful. Everyone loved the croquettes, which were nice and fluffy inside. The baked goat cheese was incredibly creamy and the honey gave it a wonderful sweetness. It was delicious on top of the slices of baguette they were served alongside of. The champinones/mushrooms were just alright to me -- they had a dark, earthy flavor but I wish it had a more complex flavor profile. I felt similarly about the fried artichoke hearts. The lamb sausage was delicious and had a nice heat to them. We were also served bacon wrapped dates, but I found the dates to be too sticky and sweet. We also ordered every dessert - caramel flan, basque cheesecake, and chocolate cake. I found the caramel flan disappointing. I prefer my flan to be more solid, but this one was mostly cream that was melting on the dish once you dug into it. The cake was good and paired well with the ice cream and candied almonds it was served with. The basque cheesecake was also okay, but I think I enjoyed the apricots it was served with more than the actual cake. Overall, very beautiful restaurant with great tapas.
