I have heard from a un-named person ( a neighbor the other day that he was not happy with Optimum…read more I didn't say anything and his reasons seemed vague. However my experiences for the past year with Optimum have been quite good. They are polite and professional; also very prompt in solving any problems that come up. The price isn't bad either Almost 135 stations pus Internet with a really good fast connection for under 100.00. Yes I know we can all stream. I see your point with that but I happen to like the stations given that are very entertaining and educational. No I am not affiliated with Optimum in any way as sales or employee. Just a customer that wanted to give a deserved so far good recommendation.

Long story short, customer service made a massive mistake with my account. My internet went from…read more$60 a month to $110 a month. I am disabled, and was told I had to go down to the office to clear it up. I get to the office, the girl at the counter has attitude before she even offered any help. I explained my situation, she gets defensive and tells me that she didn't do it to me. Customer service did. I proceeded to tell her, that it is her job to fix it. She said she's trying her best but she isn't the one that made the mistake. I asked her why she's getting defensive and rude? She was writing something on a piece of paper, she proceeded to rip up the piece of paper, and throw it at me. I am obviously upset, I asked to speak to the manager, and the guy at the counter tells me his manager as at lunch and told me to leave. I was absolutely shocked and flabbergasted at how quickly everything escalated. The thing that really gets me, is that I didn't even need to go down to the office. I was told that customer service wasted my time and gave me the wrong information, when I was asking well why would they do that? That is when the girl started getting defensive and had a meltdown at the counter. The manager came out, like 2 seconds after the guy said that he wasn't in the office. He lied and said that he was at lunch when he was actually sitting there listening to the whole thing! The manager came out with an attitude, and told me that the girl at the counter was giving me the wrong information!! So pretty much if I would have questioned her, I would have been sent out of the office with a bigger headache. It is blatantly obvious that people at this establishment hate their job. It has been reported to the optimum office for review. Shame on optimum for treating their customers like this! If you don't like your job, then find another one and stop taking out your misery on your customers!

I play lost of Video games so I'm kind of a nerd and AT&Ts internet doesn't even meet AVERAGE internet requirements it's insaine, I also live rite next to a 5G tower and it does nothing AT&T is garbage stay with your plan

After I moved up here everyone informed me that Suddenlink is the best (and it seems to be cheaper, though they have bad yelp reviews, too)--I wish I had known that to begin with. After paying AT&T $100 for installation, my internet does not work properly--it cuts in and out constantly, making it impossible to stream TV shows, movies or do anything that requires a reliable connection. After many calls, AT&T sent several people out to fix my service, all of which had different answers to solving the problem, but after five attempts (all of which required me to stay home from work) none succeeded. One technician was supposed to show up between 2-4pm, but didn't get to my place until 6pm--I guess I didn't need to miss work that day. After three months of trying to resolve the issue, I called to cancel my contract and was put on hold for an hour. For some reason I was under the assumption that they would release me from my contract considering the great lengths I'd undertaken for reliable internet--it's not my job after all. When I finally got through to someone she was so unbelievably rude (providing the worst customer service I've experienced in my life) and informed me that even though my internet isn't working properly, they will not release me from my contract and will retain the $100 deposit. I asked to speak to a manager, she said she was one. Not only that, but she told me that they had few notes from the technicians who visited my house. One wrote that he had moved my modem to another room as per my request, which didn't happen--he replaced what he said was a malfunctioning modem, which he blamed as the source of the problem, and it stayed in the same room. Apparently the last technician, who informed me that he fixed the problem (and didn't), just didn't make any notes of his visit at all. Neither did the person who he sent the following day to fix something outside that he blamed as the problem's source. I have been traveling during the weekends and haven't been able to take additional days off of work to have a technician come look at it again, and so I'm still having the same issues. Basically, I'm just using my phone as a hotspot connection (which remarkably works better!) to do everything, so I'm paying AT&T for nothing. This is a long rant, but I'm livid--normally I log into Yelp to write positive reviews, but AT&T's "service" is beyond the pale.
