Ennis made it feel like not only was I the most important customer on the planet, but also that it was no problem to come to this rural home.

However my experiences for the past year with Optimum have been quite good. They are polite and professional; also very prompt in solving any problems that come up. The price isn't bad either Almost 135 stations pus Internet with a really good fast connection for under 100.00. Yes I know we can all stream. I see your point with that but I happen to like the stations given that are very entertaining and educational. No I am not affiliated with Optimum in any way as sales or employee. Just a customer that wanted to give a deserved so far good recommendation.

I am disabled, and was told I had to go down to the office to clear it up. I get to the office, the girl at the counter has attitude before she even offered any help. I explained my situation, she gets defensive and tells me that she didn't do it to me. Customer service did. I proceeded to tell her, that it is her job to fix it. She said she's trying her best but she isn't the one that made the mistake. I asked her why she's getting defensive and rude? She was writing something on a piece of paper, she proceeded to rip up the piece of paper, and throw it at me. I am obviously upset, I asked to speak to the manager, and the guy at the counter tells me his manager as at lunch and told me to leave. I was absolutely shocked and flabbergasted at how quickly everything escalated. The thing that really gets me, is that I didn't even need to go down to the office. I was told that customer service wasted my time and gave me the wrong information, when I was asking well why would they do that? That is when the girl started getting defensive and had a meltdown at the counter. The manager came out, like 2 seconds after the guy said that he wasn't in the office. He lied and said that he was at lunch when he was actually sitting there listening to the whole thing! The manager came out with an attitude, and told me that the girl at the counter was giving me the wrong information!! So pretty much if I would have questioned her, I would have been sent out of the office with a bigger headache. It is blatantly obvious that people at this establishment hate their job. It has been reported to the optimum office for review. Shame on optimum for treating their customers like this! If you don't like your job, then find another one and stop taking out your misery on your customers!

I had an appointment for between 12:00 and 4:00 today. I carefully scheduled myself so I would be at home from 12:00 on, and in fact I was home from 11:45 on. I noticed an email that came while I was away stating that the appointment was changed to 11:30 and 4:00. I also had received several phone messages from the technician stating he would be there at 11:30. When I discovered this (around 12:15) I returned his call and left a voice message. I also sent a text message. Around 1:15 I decided to check and found this message at the dish website: Customer not home. Please reschedule. Left doorhanger. There was NO doorhanger. That was a bald faced lie. They had sent an email saying the appointment was between 12:00 and 4:00. 11:30 IS NOT 12:00. I was available after 12:00, not before. I also called and got got a CSR who was obviously not an American and spoke with an Indian accent, who would not listen to me and kept repeating the same thing over and over again until I had to yell at her. I have high blood pressure and don't need your rude CSRs from India (taking away good American union jobs, btw) giving me shit. You don't need this arrogant hassle There are other TV providers out there.

You can't have Netflix or Youtube or an X-Box One since it REQUIRES INTERNET! They will try to fool you and say you can do these things, but you cannot. They will LIE, literally lie to you and feel no qualms about it. If you can get cable internet, or DSL, or dial up or those peer to peer or even cellular internet off of your phone is better than this. Do not be tricked, it will not work, you cannot function in the world with this crap excuse for internet and it only gets more expensive and slower as time goes on. They can literally get into your computers, cell phones, tablets, anything you use with their internet and log every single thing you do then are capable of shutting down your browser when they have decided your 10g are up. You think this is a lot of data, we use it up browsing the internet with no video, music, downloads, within 3 days each month. Clearly we are not using 10gigs of data in 3 days, but they say we are and our internet is down to less than dial up speed in seconds. They will learn how to block you from frequented websites to try and FORCE you to buy 1g for $10, which you must use by midnight and it resets anyway. There is no scrubbing allowed, so you can't just try and pause a video and wait for it to load, they block it.

So apparently when you want to cancel DVR service they make you get a new box, this box that I was forced to change to comes with a brand new 2-year contract. Never was I told that downgrading service would mean a new contract. On top of that I have called in several times to get it sorted out and the "customer service" representatives told me everything is fine and I can just finish out the first contract due to being misinformed, however when I called back to cancel they told me they never said that and by signing for the box I actually consented to the new contract and they will do nothing. I feel like there should be laws to protect consumers from this misleading way of doing business.

The woman who answered was personable and empathic and normalized the situation... "it happens all the time." I had stayed the night with a friend nearby. Travis was at my front door before me. On multiple occasions I've called or stopped by, only to be told that no one was available to help me. Each time I left my name and number, I was promised a call back -- but I have never once received one. This forces me to return in person, where the outcome is usually either: 1. "We're out of stock," or 2. "Someone will call you back." As a small business owner, I only purchase 1-4 locks per year, which is nothing compared to the large timber company that seems to get first priority. Still, every customer deserves fair treatment and basic communication. A promised call back should actually happen, regardless of order size. On my most recent visit (two trips in one day), I finally spoke with someone knowledgeable about inventory and keying. Even then, I was told "someone will call you back." That was over three days ago, and I'm still waiting. At the time, there was open discussion among staff about whether additional stock was available, but I left without answers. Because Abloy keys cannot be duplicated by other locksmiths, I'm now forced to shop online, where replacement keys can take weeks. This lack of support locally has cost me significant time and frustration. This is not an isolated incident -- I've had at least three other nearly identical experiences with Security Lock & Alarm: no follow-up, repeated visits, and wasted time. It really highlights how small businesses and individual customers are deprioritized compared to big contracts. In short: if you're not a large-volume customer, don't expect much help here.
