This place lost a loyal customer with really subpar customer service. I had been utilizing this supply store when I needed a quick ream of paper, file folders or binders. They are pretty pricey but I wanted to do my part and help out local businesses. But, after going to the notary here, I will never go back. I tried twice to use her services and both times it was very uncomfortable. The first time she hassled me because of the way I sign my name. I told her I've signed that way since I was sixteen and it's never been a problem before. It doesn't seem to be a problem for Post Haste but it was definitely a problem for Chelsea. I don't want to have to pay to argue with the person behind the counter. I will simply take my business elsewhere if you can't treat me like a human being. I tried two different times to work with her because I needed a notary for several transactions. I didn't want to have to leave McKinleyville for notary services. I even tried complementing her ring to break the ice and get her down off her high horse. No luck, she just scowled at me. It was real mean girl energy and I just don't have time for high school games. This is business. If I'm a paying customer I don't think it's too much to ask to just be pleasant. Thank God I found Post Haste in Arcata. I have used them multiple times since my experiences in McKinleyville and I've been very happy with the service I get from Post Haste. This is why I love Capitalism. There's always someone else who will take my money. If you don't like what you do, maybe get a different job.

But maybe, I should think positively, and give this biz the benefit of the doubt and some props? Maybe they're employing people on the autism spectrum who can't help they don't follow polite societal norms? If that's the case, then the owner really ought to give workshops on how to interact with the general public for these employees. As for me? I also slave at a job I'm not too fond of, but I would NEVER in a million years dream of taking out my disdain on an innocent customer. So I happily drove to another iPhone store in Eureka where I plopped down $150 for what I needed as there was NO WAY in hell I was going to give this business money after being so atrociously treated. Communication with many agents proved problematic with them retaining deposits or overcharging for move-out related defects that were ALREADY present during the move-in inspection. A minor scratch on the windowsill landed me a hefty bill in one such occurrence. It took considerable knowledge of housing laws to have the funds returned to us but it was well worth the time and effort. If you can have your family member live on campus, that would be the safest solution. Otherwise, consider transferring to a different university.
