This place lost a loyal customer with really subpar customer service. I had been utilizing this supply store when I needed a quick ream of paper, file folders or binders. They are pretty pricey but I wanted to do my part and help out local businesses. But, after going to the notary here, I will never go back. I tried twice to use her services and both times it was very uncomfortable. The first time she hassled me because of the way I sign my name. I told her I've signed that way since I was sixteen and it's never been a problem before. It doesn't seem to be a problem for Post Haste but it was definitely a problem for Chelsea. I don't want to have to pay to argue with the person behind the counter. I will simply take my business elsewhere if you can't treat me like a human being. I tried two different times to work with her because I needed a notary for several transactions. I didn't want to have to leave McKinleyville for notary services. I even tried complementing her ring to break the ice and get her down off her high horse. No luck, she just scowled at me. It was real mean girl energy and I just don't have time for high school games. This is business. If I'm a paying customer I don't think it's too much to ask to just be pleasant. Thank God I found Post Haste in Arcata. I have used them multiple times since my experiences in McKinleyville and I've been very happy with the service I get from Post Haste. It took considerable knowledge of housing laws to have the funds returned to us but it was well worth the time and effort. If you can have your family member live on campus, that would be the safest solution. Otherwise, consider transferring to a different university.
