Have had wonderful, amazing experiences at this store in the past. Used to be a go-to! But when…read morewill businesses learn that they lose customers- AND money- if they employ people who are just nasty & hateful right from the get go? Like I KNOW, masked up dude wearing a mask in an empty store (?), that NOBODY likes their job, especially in this economy. I get it. But that doesn't mean you need to take your hate out on a customer who simply walks through the door and says in a friendly manner "Hey, how's it going?" (A friendly customer who has always, always, without fail, generously tipped previous employees of this establishment who were, ya know, basically nice & decent?) SO... if you like being glared at with the most hateful expression ever for 10 seconds before being spoken to like you've just killed their grandma with a lifeless, affectless, "How can I help you?" THIS is your place! For all the masochists out there... So, I tried again... "Hi!!!!" and again was hatefully glared at, followed by "How can I help you?" with the MOST disdainful, ugly tone of voice. As me simply opening the door and walking in was the bane of this person's existence. Yeah, bro, that's a no go. At that point I might or might not have said something rather cheeky and rude in my shocked and appalled state. In hindsight, I wish I would've said something along the lines of "You could 'help' me by treating me as a human being, please." But maybe, I should think positively, and give this biz the benefit of the doubt and some props? Maybe they're employing people on the autism spectrum who can't help they don't follow polite societal norms? If that's the case, then the owner really ought to give workshops on how to interact with the general public for these employees. As for me? I also slave at a job I'm not too fond of, but I would NEVER in a million years dream of taking out my disdain on an innocent customer. So I happily drove to another iPhone store in Eureka where I plopped down $150 for what I needed as there was NO WAY in hell I was going to give this business money after being so atrociously treated. No way.

They were supposed to install the dishwasher today by noon but when I hadn't heard from them by 11:30 I called. They told me the unit had arrived damaged and they had to get another replacement, they had no time frame on how long this would take and hadn't even bothered to let us know. My partner had to take half the day off work to make sure someone was home when they came and they were just not going to show or explain why and what was happening. One mistake I can understand but both times dealing with them and having issues like this is not the sign of good business practice.

It's been awhile since anyone left a Poletski's Appliance business review on Yelp, so here's a very…read morepositive one from late 2023! --First, we've been very loyal and satisfied Poletski's customers for many years--having bought refrigerators and washing machines that have served us well and having always had excellent customer service. A recent purchase experience, which initially was disappointing, turned into yet another very positive Poletski's customer service experience. Here's the story..... My partner and I just bought a used Kenmore brand electric dryer from their "Scratch & Dent" store annex. The price and warranty were/are really good and the dryer looks practically new. Several conversations with Ryan--the sales rep--were very helpful. He was knowledgeable and answered my many questions. Unfortunately, when it came time to hook the dryer up, we discovered there was no cord included. A call to the store confirmed that this is standard operating procedure for liability reasons, and we would need to buy a new cord to connect the dryer. We live 2 hours away, so this was a real inconvenience. I spoke with Ryan, who was sympathetic to my frustration, and he said he'd have Ross--the boss!!--call me. I didn't expect to hear from Ross, but sure enough, the next day Ross called me. He was extremely decent! He refunded the price of the electric cord and was a real pleasure to deal with--very nice, great sense of humor, old fashioned integrity, and committed to excellent customer service. My partner and I will continue to make Poletski's our Number 1 stop for buying all major home appliances. They're locally-owned (an increasing rarity these days). They prioritize integrity and customer service, in our experience. Their sales representatives are knowledgeable and helpful--thank you, Ryan! And they've got a great manager at the helm--Ross! Thank you, Poletski's! We're long-time loyal customers!
