I don't understand why this place has any negative reviews. I took a brand new phone in this morning with a SIM card stuck inside. Eric was able to take the phone apart and retrieve the SIM card and I had the phone back less than 2 hours later. Robert called to let me know my phone was ready and was just as friendly, polite, and helpful as Eric. I hope to not have cell phones that need repair/attention often, but when I inevitably do again, I'll definitely be coming back here and recommending them to everyone I can. THIS PLACE SUCKS! The service requested was to disassemble my iPhone 13 mini to check the insides for functionality. The worker made the phone worse. I must admit I swam for a good 5 minutes with the phone in my pocket. It worked afterwards, then died, then worked 4 days later, then died again. It also showed the "restore iPhone" screen but I wasn't ready to try that. I took my otherwise pristine phone in to Advanced Cellular Repair for a $75 inspection and returned later that day to find my phone with a cracked screen and a corrupted display rendering it even worse off. I'm peeved that my phone got worse--if it was only gonna get worse, let me do the fucking job. I asked to buy a little screwdriver like he had, but denied that request. Waste of time and money and I don't recommend going here. Poor value and genuinely some absolute bullshit. read more

What a joy to find such an accommodating, kind, understanding business! I've been without my phone for ten days now, and I keep getting the same message from customer care - "your phone will be shipped soon." Whenever I've talked or text chatted with someone, they don't know why my phone hasn't been sent. But Robert got through the first layer of hell and was able to find out that I'm supposed to receive a new phone but the company is out of stock right now. I called these folks late this morning, and they fixed it plus put in a new battery within 90 minutes of dropping it off! They're professional, extremely skilled, courteous, and nice folks... I had my phone screen fixed there and within a few months the lights went out on it and it broke. I need my text messages for a very important court case add so I had to go get a new screen from them. They didn't warrantee or honor the first screen. But I paid anyways for a new screen. When I got my phone back it didn't appear to be the same phone. There is a new pin on the screen that I did not put there. Advanced cellular is the only store that had touched my phone and now there is a mysterious pin they claim cannot be unlocked. he is now referring me to Las Vegas to see if someone can get through this pen. This pin screen was never on my phone and only appeared after advanced cellular worked on it. I don't believe the man when he says he didn't do this. This looks like organize crime. read more

Walked in with a totally dead phone after dropping it. They were courteous, helpful and took my phone for testing and diagnosis. Said they would call the next day with the results. They called when they said they would and were able to diagnose the problem and order the needed parts quickly overnight. The next day I had my phone back and working better than before I dropped it with all data still intact! The price for diagnosis, repair and parts was reasonable. I hope I never have to come back for any more repairs, but if I am in town and have a problem, I would have no hesitation to use Advanced Cellular Repair again. read more

The battery on my iPhone SE (2016) wasn't holding its charge for as long as it had been, so I decided to get a new battery and have it installed. They advertised themselves as iPhone specialists, so I took my phone to them. It was very expensive. I knew, they had to take off the screen to do it, so I bit the bullet. After finishing the job, they told me that they'd installed an aftermarket battery. I was unpleasantly surprised and asked them why they hadn't used an Apple OEM part. They said it would cost twice as much and they'd have to special order it. Turned out the new battery was crap. There was supposed to be a warranty on the battery, but I'd paid cash and couldn't find the receipt, so I was out of luck. I ended up deciding to get a new phone rather than throw good money after bad. read more

Should have known better. Took my sons laptop in. They wanted 40 dollars that was non refundable to even look at it. No calls or updates through out the weeks. I had to call them and check on it twice in 2 weeks for updates. They said they could not fix it or find what was even wrong with it. Now 40 dollars short and no working lap top!! I can not say enough good things about the owner Robert and his staff. They have saved me many hundreds of $'s over the last year by offering no contract cell service. I pay $42 a month now for 2 phones on the Verizon network. I was paying over $160 a month to Sprint for horrible spotty service. My calls never drop now that I'm on the page plus no contract plan one of several prepaid services they offer at A.C.R.. My calls with Sprint were constantly dropped and my bills large. I highly suggest when your contract runs out to go see A.C.R. they can take any phone from any carrier and switch it to a no contract plan. Lots of options. They also have a shop in Fortuna ca. I am so thankful that A.C.R is here in humboldt county! This company truly makes my life easier. read more
