The service itself is good. Except that local channels are not broadcast in HD. Other than that,…read morethe service is good. Installation however is bad. I had an appointment for between 12:00 and 4:00 today. I carefully scheduled myself so I would be at home from 12:00 on, and in fact I was home from 11:45 on. I noticed an email that came while I was away stating that the appointment was changed to 11:30 and 4:00. I also had received several phone messages from the technician stating he would be there at 11:30. When I discovered this (around 12:15) I returned his call and left a voice message. I also sent a text message. Around 1:15 I decided to check and found this message at the dish website: Customer not home. Please reschedule. Left doorhanger. There was NO doorhanger. That was a bald faced lie. They had sent an email saying the appointment was between 12:00 and 4:00. 11:30 IS NOT 12:00. I was available after 12:00, not before. I also called and got got a CSR who was obviously not an American and spoke with an Indian accent, who would not listen to me and kept repeating the same thing over and over again until I had to yell at her. I have high blood pressure and don't need your rude CSRs from India (taking away good American union jobs, btw) giving me shit. You don't need this arrogant hassle There are other TV providers out there.

I play lost of Video games so I'm kind of a nerd and AT&Ts internet doesn't even meet AVERAGE internet requirements it's insaine, I also live rite next to a 5G tower and it does nothing AT&T is garbage stay with your plan

If you move to Humboldt County, please **do not** under any circumstances sign-up for AT&T…read moreinternet. After I moved up here everyone informed me that Suddenlink is the best (and it seems to be cheaper, though they have bad yelp reviews, too)--I wish I had known that to begin with. After paying AT&T $100 for installation, my internet does not work properly--it cuts in and out constantly, making it impossible to stream TV shows, movies or do anything that requires a reliable connection. After many calls, AT&T sent several people out to fix my service, all of which had different answers to solving the problem, but after five attempts (all of which required me to stay home from work) none succeeded. One technician was supposed to show up between 2-4pm, but didn't get to my place until 6pm--I guess I didn't need to miss work that day. After three months of trying to resolve the issue, I called to cancel my contract and was put on hold for an hour. For some reason I was under the assumption that they would release me from my contract considering the great lengths I'd undertaken for reliable internet--it's not my job after all. When I finally got through to someone she was so unbelievably rude (providing the worst customer service I've experienced in my life) and informed me that even though my internet isn't working properly, they will not release me from my contract and will retain the $100 deposit. I asked to speak to a manager, she said she was one. Not only that, but she told me that they had few notes from the technicians who visited my house. One wrote that he had moved my modem to another room as per my request, which didn't happen--he replaced what he said was a malfunctioning modem, which he blamed as the source of the problem, and it stayed in the same room. Apparently the last technician, who informed me that he fixed the problem (and didn't), just didn't make any notes of his visit at all. Neither did the person who he sent the following day to fix something outside that he blamed as the problem's source. I have been traveling during the weekends and haven't been able to take additional days off of work to have a technician come look at it again, and so I'm still having the same issues. Basically, I'm just using my phone as a hotspot connection (which remarkably works better!) to do everything, so I'm paying AT&T for nothing. This is a long rant, but I'm livid--normally I log into Yelp to write positive reviews, but AT&T's "service" is beyond the pale.
