I have, to date, purchased two machines from Discover Sewing (a serger and embroidering machine, both Husqvarna), attended their classes, stopped by just to ask the wonderful ladies a question I may have, and I could not be happier with my products or the customer service! There are four locations and I'm lucky enough to be fairly central to three of these. I've visited the Alpharetta location inside Joann's fabric, the Duluth location off of Sugarloaf Pkwy, and the Sandy Springs store, again, always with a great experience. It's obvious that their employees love what they do and they enjoy being at 'work,' and this always has a huge impact on customer service. I'm going to pick up my newest machine purchase on Monday and I can't wait to get my hands on it and visit with the ladies! I'm really sorry to have to give this business a one star rating but they will not accommodate me mask free. I used to buy all of my embroidery thread, machine needles and machine feet here. I can no longer support businesses that violate my rights and freedoms and violate the law. I don't care if small businesses lose out and go under. We have decided as a family to boycott and file complaints with the DOJ and the GA state agencies about them not accommodating us mask free - the truth is they are discriminating against us for a medical decision which is illegal. I have bought numerous machines from them. I have had numerous maintenance done on machines due to lots of use. The ladies are wonderful to be around, I have learned so much from this group of teachers. I feel, I can stop in and say "Hi" and ask for any directions of how to do this or that with my machines. I am still learning and always in need of help on what stabilizer to use to what technique to use on my Brother, Viking, Cut and Scan Brother, and my Viking Serger. I can not find all the words to say how wonderful to have a sewing /embroidery place for experience in teaching you the correct way in doing a project. This is a friendly neighborhood sewing shop where I can ask questions, buy supplies, and get troubleshooting help. I liked - no, loved! the class I took with Linda. She is very knowledgable, and communicated well on a wide variety of questions I had about my new-to-me Viking sewing machine. If Linda is the gold standard for Discover Sewing classes, I can recommend them without reservation. I am equally wild about the customer service exhibited by Sherry. She introduced me to The Foot Book and helped me decide what I needed AND what I didn't. Had a chat with the owner. Denying me entry and then trying to get me to drive to the other store an hour away so I can shop mask free before the store officially opens is discrimination and it's illegal. I have had problems with the same things as yourself. Not very nice. They need some good PR lessons. I told Bonnie that there PR sucked. I'm one to say my mind. I have be waiting over two mouths for a repair on a Topaz 20. Also a Quilt Machine that they fixed came back and as soon as I but it on the quilter frame. and started to use it, I had to take back to them. The machine came back from Tenn. and they forgot to put a screw back on the foot plate and the bobbing holder. had a screw lose. After it screwed up my quilt. read more

I go to Discover Sewing for my high-end sewing needs. They carry quality products and the staff is amazing. They are knowledgeable and friendly and in this time when many businesses behave as if the customer is a nuisance, Discover Sewing does just the opposite - they behave as if you are their most important business of the day and they value you so much. They spend time explaining and helping. They offer great classes to help their customers progress. Their $119 Service on my elecronic sewing machine was worth it. read more

The staff at all stores are so knowledgeable and so nice and so helpful! I love my embroidery machine and all the fun things I make with it. I bought it at Discover Sewing at Joann's near North Point Mall! They have three other stores as well; one in Duluth, Snellville @ Joann's again and Sandy Springs. I purchased a Designer SE from Discover Sewing in Sandy Springs, and I just love the machine and my experience with the people at the store are spectacular. I had my 10+ year old Viking fixed and was very happy with the service. I had never had it fixed before nor had I done any maintenance on it. It works better now than when it was new. I found a great book at the store called "FootBook". It covers over 75 feet available for Husqvarna/Viking machines. The book covers what the feet are for, how to use them, and some great tips for easier sewing. The sales people are great. read more

Every time I'm there, the staff is more than helpful and always takes the time to really listen and answer my questions.
