I am so surprised by the review on yelp for this store. I love Tiny Stitches and yes I have run into problems but they are very helpful to try to correct them. Melissa has added more material than they had before. I was always disappointed by the selection of batiks, but since Melissa has come on board she has added so many more colors. I have shopped at quilt stores in Florida and all they offer is Florida tropical so for me this store has a very broad selection of material and not stuck in one particular pattern or style. I have done Block of the Month, Saturday Sampler and other projects and I have been extremely pleased with the end product. Linda is very helpful when you have questions on your Saturday Sampler. Their classes are very good and I enjoy all the employees at the store. They are always helpful. Do not be deterred by the other reviews. This is the place to go when you need material or help with picking material for a quilt you are working on. The prices are the same as other quilt stores but the sale room I can always find a bargain. read more

I have been part of the Saturday Sampler program, off and on, for years. I currently drive monthly, from Savannah, to shop at this store, which is saying something. However, I opened my Saturday Sampler package yesterday and found my yardage significantly short of the stated width/length. I just called and spoke briefly to Melissa (owner's daughter) who then passed me off to an employee who was tasked with telling me they aren't responsible for the fabric once it leaves the store. So customers, BEWARE! Tiny Stitches holds the CUSTOMER responsible for their mistakes. From now on, they will measure each and every piece of my fabric before I leave the store. I will not be responsible for mistakes nor be made to feel as if I am being dishonest when, in both cases, it is Tiny Stitches. I will finish the programs in which I am currently enrolled but then will not shop here again. read more

The only fabric store in the area for quilters. however, it is slowly being taken over the owners daughter, Melissa. and Melissa doesn't know what quilters need or want. she's very vocal about how she's still learning the trade and its evident in the classes that are now being taught. they are what SHE wants and the new fabrics are what SHE thinks is nice. we are not a community of Tula Pink Yellowbrick road sewist, but if that's what you want that's what the new tiny stitches is. while some may like what changes this daughter has done I do not like this new version of Tiny Stitches. it's a shame to see maetha work so hard to have family turn it into their place. A good place to start with change would be to have the Newsletter end with... -Maetha, Henry, and the Tiny Stitches staff members unless Melissa is now an owner. Her name and ownership can wait till she deserves it and respects the customers. read more

I do like coming here as they have some interesting fabrics but there aren't a lot of masculine prints or island prints at all. The fabric quarters are also pricey here as compared to other fabric places. The customer service is outstanding but I'd like to sew more sewing classes for dresses, pants tailoring, etc here not just catering to quilting customers. read more

I have used this shop for classes and fabrics. Several years ago I bought a Block of the Month kit from them. I did not get to work on it until recently Other kits I have purchased from other sources usually provide a bit of extra fabric. This one did not. I made several small errors that necessitated I use other fabrics that might match. I know they say to call if I needed more but alas it was too late. Saving money on fabric to cover small errors shouldn't happen. I won't buy from them again. They are 30 miles from me. A bit of fudge fabric would have been nice. I was surprised read more

I signed up for a class, my first quilting class. Unfortunately, on the day of class my family had a medical emergency 30 miles away. I called the shop after my family member was out of the hospital, but was told I couldn't get a refund or schedule another class in place of a refund. The person I spoke to on the phone was pleasant but absolutely uninterested in my situation. She told me I should have cancelled 7 days prior to the class! I'm taking my new interest in quilting somewhere else. read more

I am visiting the area and while in Jo Ann's someone recommended I go to this shop for quality material. What a wonderful shop. I was looking for holiday fabric and was overwhelmed with the selection. The shop is a decent size and has a lovely selection of fabric and quilting books, notions. I was in the shop today and received very unfriendly and uninspiring answers too all my questions. They appeared only to want to cut fabric. The exception was a woman in the basement that covers the free arm quilting. She was helpful. Upstairs they need a course in customer interaction. I sell machines in a sewing machine store. I was in this shop in January, 2018, visiting Georgia from Oregon. It was very nice to be greeted when I came in the door even though everyone was busy. They have an outstanding and varied selection of fabrics. The light, clean and organized store is delightful. Old lady that was working in the shop that day was rude when I asked about classes they offered she told me to look them up on their web site.
