Bob's Upholstery has been my go-to place for fabric, fringe and upholstery services for over a…read moredecade, and not once have I ever been disappointed. I can be pretty picky, and since sewing and upholstery have been a hobby for decades, I know the difference in excellent quality materials and workmanship versus so-so. (Do not confuse them with Bob's Furniture, as they are a complete different business with no connection to Bob's Upholstery.) This is a three generation business, which was started in Marietta in 1960, and their experience and dedication to their customers is evident. Shawna and her sister and daughter have always been delightful and helpful, and kind enough to fix some things that I goofed up (or purchased poor quality at a place a few doors down from their location). They never cut corners on quality, zippers on cushions and pillows are perfectly completed, and they never over or under stuff. You will definitely see the quality here. I've seen them be extremely patient and courteous with less than delightful customers, so that makes my shopping experience more pleasant. I have recommended them to at least six friends who are also happy with their services and products, and one friend drives over from Alpharetta every time she needs something. Bob's Upholstery is moving in a few months so they need to reduce inventory, so now is the time to snag some great bargains!

Went to see if I can have my sewing machine fixed. A very nice young lady provided great customer…read moreservice and explained what I should do to get it done. They also sell sewing machines, and they seem to offer different types of sewing classes. There is also a selection of materials for sale. While I was waiting for my turn, a gentleman came to pick up his machine, and he seemed very happy. I did ask the sales lady, how much it did cost and the price seemed reasonable. Of course, every service price is based on the additional parts and labor needed. So, I will definitely give it a try. Seems like it will take few weeks to get your sewing machine back, but I'm sure it will be worth it.

I'm so glad he did...This place is amazing... from customer service, to any kind of material you need to create your own designs on or off the sewing machine, to teaching what you don't know, and need to know about any machine they have available. I've bought both sewing machines and sergers from this store. They give you excellent deals when purchasing anything, and if ever a problem they always provide the right solution. Their classes are very informative, well worth the price, their expertise is amazing, and their machine repair is second to none. And, as always, the buck stops at the top...their Manager is second to none, always available, fair, honest, and if it's fixable, she can fix it!

I LOVE this store…read more If I could redecorate on an unlimited budget (and, yes, that would include things for Big and coffee table books, both of which Pieces has in spades), this would be one of my main shopping spots. From the armoires to the chairs . . . lamps . . . candles . . . prints. I love it all! It's like the most fabulous cross between what I'd call casual posh/sophisticated chic and punchy color love! Ah, just "window shopping" here makes me happy. Good thing there's Pinterest so I can keep making my dream home board!!

I decided to do my normal weekend boutique hopping and found a slice of gay heaven in Buckhead!…read more When I walked into Pieces, I walked into pure sweet bliss! The store was decked out in all white and the pop of color was shown in the cute accessories, lush fabrics, and gorgeous furniture. I definitely felt a bit of a Miami vibe and was instantly greeted by the adorable store owner, Lee Kleinhelter. I honestly could not believe this was my first time in this store! Every piece of furniture is high quality and very unique. Please note, if you are looking for white leather pieces for your room, look no further! Anyways, as the boyfriend converts to school girl mode (you know the gasping and high-pitch screaming with delight), I took the opportunity to browse the store on my own to find some hidden treasures. Check out the lamps (both table and pendants), fun gifts and accessories (i.e. books on Miami style and miniature knit purses that store colored pencils), and the brightly colored fabric pillows. Oh and the BEST THING...what better way to accessorize your home then man's best friend! That's right, not only does Pieces sell furniture, but they sell dog goodies! Some things to highlight are the camouflage raincoats, multi-colored leather and fabric dog collars, and dog polos! I hang out at a lot of pet stores and was impressed with their selection, since I have not seen many of the brands they carry. I'll definitely be heading back soon to buy my dog something as well as a couple of those Glass Globe Pendants for the loft!
