Are you a sewer who hasn't been to Gail K? Friend, you are missing out. Get going and find your…read morebliss! If your a fabri-holic like me, get thee to this second location of Gail K posthaste! It's not quite as packed as the original location on Cheshire Bridge Road. Some will find that to be a positive, some a negative, and some like me just won't care because there's so much beautiful fabric there you'll be in Nirvana either way. I will say that I think the second location is a little more spacious so it may be a little easier to find what you're looking for. On the other hand it feels to me like the one on Cheshire Bridge original store has a bit more fabric. Either way, if you can't find the cloth of your dreams here, it can't be found anywhere short of the New York City garment district. This is in a totally different league than Joanns or other chains. The only downside to both Gail K stores is that they're not open very late for my taste. the Norcross location is open until 5 pm while the other location is open only until 4 p.m. (!) except for Thursday when they're open till 7. Why can't they both be open till 10 at night 7 days a week? But they aren't and I suppose they can't be. So just get yourself going before the traffic gets bad and find those textile treasures. If you love fashion and fabulous fabric at fair prices, you'll find it well worth your time to patronize Gail K.

They had a lot of fabric, but with all that fabric, they didn't have a good jersey selection.read more

I love the women at this store. Always very friendly and customer service is outstanding. Every…read morevisit with them is always a learning opportunity. They take the time to listen and give you the best advice possible. I purchased a Baby Lock Allegro. I love my sewing machine, but not sure it it loves me back.... The threader and cutter are giving me challenges that I know I shouldn't have to go through for a new machine. I just started sewing on my Allegro, but the threads have been breaking after so many stitches. I would love to have in person training for babyLock as there is for the Berninas. Considering upgrading, but want to give my Allegro a try before I do. Shout out to Berninas machine. Thank you, Divia

They finally sent it back to the manufacturer for repair. After more than three months I finally got it back the third time and it was fixed but they insist that there was nothing wrong with the machine. The problem was that I was using it wrong. I have to use my left foot to operate it instead of my right foot. If this was the case, which I do not believe is the case, they should have been able to tell me this when I returned it the first time. They just don't want to take responsibility for the frustration and inconvenience I have suffered over the last year. After paying almost $8000 for a machine, I expected more from them.

I've taken my sewing machine here to get it serviced and cleaned for many years. The other day I…read morebrought the machine in because I knew the problem was due to operator error, me... therefore I did not want to leave my machine for the tech I want to see what I was doing wrong. The nice gal at the register, I think her name is Lynn, Took my machine apart and even though she was not a tech she was able to determine what was going on and why the machine continue to jam. I wouldn't ordinarily ask for on the spot diagnostics but I was a regular customer. Because I was able to learn what I was doing wrong I was able to help my daughter complete a project due the next day. Five stars to any business who is willing to go above and beyond like this one!!!

It took over 2 weeks, and when I got it home the bobbin was still hanging up and in addition, the feed dogs wouldn't raise/lower! Called them, they said the service "is under warranty" but that they can't take it in for at least a week. ARGH! It cost $119, the tech is supposed to be Pfaff-certified, but right now I am so frustrated I could bite! But I'll take it in next week and see what happens. By the way, the ladies who work there could not be nicer - I have no beef with them, just the technician/repair on my machine. Expensive, slow, and added a problem without fixing the old problem! I'll write back with the resolution once I see what happens.
