You know how a good bookstore is cozy and has warm little nooks and crannies where you're surrounded by books everywhere, and just feel excitement at the possibility of finding a treasure? This is the feeling Thread Bear Fabrics has, with fabric. This is not a big box craft & fabric store with a bit of everything. This is a specialty store with more fabrics than you knew was possible in a small shop. Be prepared to meander through, ducking into little fabric treasure coves to uncover beautiful cotton treasures. I loved finding my favorite designers, their fabrics grouped together. Make sure to check out the second part of the store next door - it has additional fabrics, including past lines that can be hard to find in person. If fabric makes your heart happy, this is the place for you!

Ask the Community - Thread Bear Fabrics

Do they have corduroy, linen, or any Japanese cotton?

I have some Japanese cotton prints in stock. I do not carry linen or corduroy.

I love Fabric World! I never know what I will find -- but when I need upholstery fabric for table…read moredrapes or pillow shams, this is THE place to go. The staff is super helpful, and of course the fabric is beyond affordable -- usually $4 a yard or less. Last week I saw 54" wide rolls of block-printed African prints that would have cost oodles in a higher-end store. For $5 a yard. This is the place to go if you are willing to hunt, and if you don't confuse bare-bones displays for a lack of quality. There is always something different, as well, but make sure that you get enough of what you need, because most of the rolls are discontinued / remnants, and you likely won't find that roll again. Fabric World used to have more apparel fabrics, jumbled onto huge tables. During the first year of the pandemic I picked up serious quality cotton - -Robert Kaufmann -- for $3/yard. They aren't carrying the quilting cotton remnants any longer, unfortunately, and the cotton on bolts doesn't feel nearly as high quality. It's also oriented more towards kids' prints. If you are making clothes for rapidly growing kids, though, it's exactly what you'd need! There are a few tables of apparel fabrics left. I've gotten quality linen there, though the bulk is rayon / polyester / viscose / stretch fabrics. If you love fabrics and want to hunt ... this is your place! (Not to mention easy-peasy parking.)

I absolutely recommend this fabric store. If you're into reupholstering, making curtains, or making throw pillows or even a DIY'er you would certainly love Fabric World. Today's price was $3. per yard and the choices were above and beyond fantastic. The young lady who helped me (Kimberly) was amazing and extremely helpful. I will be certainly coming back to get my fabric from the store. One of Georgia's hidden treasures.

Ready for p/u 9/24, too excited since wait been over 6 wks. My fault; didn't QC pillow prior to LVng the store. 1ce home, quickly noticed gapping seam that was unraveling. I placed a call to the store so that they can note that I needed to return it to them. As it sat on the deck, I seen the highest points of the pillow & when I went to feel if it will soften downI was quickly disappointed, the pillow will not distribute evenly and will have the highest point in the middle. Which now really makes this pillow not feasible for Zoe;-( The suggested 51x51 may have been a wash. Update from when I dropped off the BeanBag, walked out a happy customer. Jenny, the Mgr, has always been welcoming since my 1st visit. She came out & looked @ the seam as it was she who took my call YDay. So appreciative as she didn't wait for me to request a solution & offered me to make it right as I began to state that maybe we can insert a two inch material between the two top & bottom cover as to make it a boxed pillow. She agreed it would be a great idea and that she offered to cut up material she has in stock and would get it back to us in about a wk's time. To add, she did offer to correct the seam w/ making the pillow a boxed pillow and no fee. I appreciate her solution & I continue to enjoy visiting Karen's Fabrics when I need to find unique prints for my decor. This isolated incident reassured me that I choose the right business to commission my special pillow cases=*} #ThnxKelly #KarensFabric
