I dropped my keys off the dock at a marina and needed to figure out a solution on a Sunday afternoon, with my car in a public lot that it couldn't stay in overnight. The job should have been straightforward (I thought) but apparently my 2022 Subaru Crosstrek shows up in the locksmith manual/database/whatever as being a push-button start, and my car is a key-start.
