I needed copies of my key to my storage unit. Even though it was my lock, I'd been told that it was a special type and only the storage office could provide copies. Busy Bee proved them wrong. It took a couple attempts, but when I brought the lock and the key, it took them just a couple of minutes to find the right key blank and cut a copy. Well the good experience was last time. A month ago, I needed a copy of my mailbox key, when I called, I thought I was calling the local Murrieta store, it wasn't ! It was some mother store in San Diego. That's fine. Lady gave me a reasonable price, so I went to Murrieta store, they actually charged me less than the quoted price & I was supper happy. Today was totally different ! This time I bought a souvenir over the table small box from local discount store (donated stuffs) but they didn't have a key to open ! But it looked nice & I paid just $5 to get it . but I need to just open the box. So as a returning Customer I called, again call transferred to San Diego store, he (no name) gave me a hefty $65 price just to open it !! I didn't need to change the lock. So I drove to the store Murrieta, but they had already been warned via email from San Diego that I might be going there & the same hefty price was already coated to our local store ! But I wasn't gonna pay $65 for a $5 box... a process that would take them just 2 min, with minimum skills, (most basic box lock) ! No that's not fair, they should've been more reasonable. I'm a home owner with multiple cars, and any day I might need a locksmith, & could call them for help, in the future. But it wasn't to be ... they were not gonna work on the price with me, because San Diego store has already coated a price to them, written on the stone, can't be negotiated... , I'm disappointed. I came in about month ago about a roof rack on my SUV. I was told by the dealer they didn't have a key and by several locksmiths that they couldn't work on the type of lock it has. I had an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience with Busy Bees Locksmith. After having a new key made and completing the process in-store, I began receiving multiple follow-up calls--approximately 15 in total--due to an error made by the technician, who took a blurry photo of my ID. While I understand that mistakes happen, what truly shocked me was the call I received from Jennifer, the owner. Rather than handling the situation with professionalism and courtesy, she called me directly and raised her voice in a highly inappropriate and confrontational manner over a mistake that was not mine. As a customer who had already paid for the service and cooperated throughout the process, being spoken to in such a disrespectful tone by the business owner was unacceptable. I cannot, in good faith, recommend this company to anyone. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere for locksmith services--professionalism and respect should be a given, especially when a business is asking something of the customer. read more

On Thursday, 23rd, 2025. I went into the shop between 3:30 PM - 4 PM. I explained to Brody that my unlock button for my key fob isn't working anymore and this is my spare one. Brody, was so kind to diagnosed and open the key fob and saw that the unlock button connection was disconnected. He soldered the connection back in place and the unlock button worked. I was so thrilled and thankful that, Brody, helped me fixed a "minor" issue. He saved me hundreds of dollars and time of having getting new key fobs, rekeyed and programmed - I can't thank you enough, Brody! I will certainly shared my story with people I know in Temecula and Murrieta area. Side note, for dog lovers. He has a beautiful white and black spotted dog hanging out at the shop, she is so well behaved and so loving. When Brody and I had a moment - she sensed it and came right away to me and her two front paws were in my hands and the rest is history. Haha read more

Had a technician come out to look at our situation. He seemed knowledgeable and helpful but then left and never followed up. After several phone calls over the period of several weeks and getting nothing but the run-around, I am finally giving up. Office staff does not seem to really care or want to help and just tell you the technician will return the call (which never happens). This could have gone so much better. :( Update: Just received a call claiming they left me a message (which they did not) and treated me with contempt and rudeness stating "the ball was in my court". My Honda Civic 2005, had an ignition/key problem. Key would no longer turn. I took it out, via U-tube videos, and had them to fix/replace the lock tumblers in the ignition. Seems to work okay. Just got done installing it back into the car. They got right on it, so I was very happy with that. Only took a few hours. Charged about $100.00, which compared the alternative was cheap. So, all and all, I would trust their business with any future lock needs. read more

I am most unhappy because when I called the company and asked for a locksmith and the cost to open an office door which we had locked with the keys on the desk, he advised me that the charge would be $40. When he came and opened the locked door, he advised me the charge was $100!!! I was very surprised and I told him that I was told it would be $40. The gentleman insisted that he was the person I spoke to and that the charge was $100. I told my boss it would be $40 and my colleagues in the office heard me repeat the $40 charge he told me. This is not the way you do business! He was very unpleasant, unprofessional and downright dishonest!!! We are a minority owned business, not sure if this was the motivation, wish I had asked him to lock the door and leave so I could call someone else. DO NOT USE DO BUSINESS WITH HIM!!!! read more
