Excellent service. Needed 1000 gal tank buried. Showed up on time and finished everything in one visit.

One of their 18 wheelers ran me off the road this morning and caused damage to my vehicle. instead of stopping, they ran off.

After having been a good customer of Direct Propane for several years, my regulator needed to be changed on my tank. I called and got rates for labor and parts, which were quite expensive; $140 for the first thirty minutes and $95 for each hour after that, less the parts. I scheduled the repair but decided to call around for better pricing. After finding a propane service that would do the work for $115 per hour, needing no more than one hour, I called Direct Propane back and cancelled the service call. They then informed me that I wanted to continue to purchase propane from them, they would have to charge me for a service call first. I said "you're going to charge me a service call when I'm the one who called and told you about the issue?" If I had the work done by another dealer they would have no idea it was performed and would have continued to sell me propane. Of course my response was that they just lost a valued customer since this was beyond stupid and unethical, definitely crooked and dishonest IMO. Based on the other reviews I see there is a trend here, so I suggest that NO ONE do business with these losers. They will draw you in with competitive propane rates and try to screw you on the backend. read more

This company is so dishonest. I don't know why I didn't trust the other awful reviews. I called and got an estimate for a new propane tank. I told them on the phone that I needed the tank for an existing home and to run a whole house generator. They quoted me 3900, which is a great price. But they made me wait two weeks for an estimator to come out and confirm the estimate. My estimator, Josh Harvey, came out and said yes we can do it for 3900. Just call the office tomorrow and get on the dig schedule. So I called the next day and the manager said the estimate is wrong and that they have to charge me an EXTRA 1600 DOLLARS because the tank is for an existing home and only serving one appliance--two facts that I told them on the phone two weeks ago and confirmed with the in person estimator. We waited around for them hoping to get a good deal only to have the run the only bait-and-switch on us. Run away. Run FAR FAR AWAY. This company is awful and dishonest. read more

The rates are great! The technicians who come out are excellent, professional, courteous, and kind. I am speaking of every technician at this company who has been to my home... they have all been nothing but professional. Today I encountered some of the WORST customer service I've had in a long time. A girl named Maria was the one who took my call. :(. Maria answers the phone and takes customer calls. She was so very unprofessional, argumentative, inconsiderate and discourteous to me! She lacks basic customer service skills and doesn't know how to talk to people. It took all of Jesus in me to keep my composure because me acting like her would make two people acting like jacka$$3$ on the phone. You get more bees with honey than you do with vinegar. You're right Maria, when it comes to the customer you will always be right, just not always honest. Do better. Be kind. Direct Propane (formerly Webberville Propane) has been excellent in providing all of our home propane since it started business 38 years ago. The Turner family who own and operate it are the hardest working, most honest, generous people I know. Just look at the long list of worthy community organizations they support financially. When one of their trucks accidentally damaged a storage shed on our property, one of the Turner sons quickly brought out a crew & materials and repaired the shed better than it was before the accident. I just had my tank refilled after the freeze last week. They told me it would be a hand full of days before they could refill. I had to turn off my furnace and set my water heater to vacation - if I ran out of propane it would be $161 to purge the lines. So... 6 days later my tank was filled to 80%, it was at 16% due to my conservation of not using the furnace etc... my bill was over $250 - $100 dollars more than all of my other fills. On top of this, the phone system menu did not route your call and you could not leave a voice mail. No one answered a phone and they did not respond to a website contact request. The worst customer service in a time of need. I did not expect them to deliver in 48 hours just wanted basic customer service. $2.60 a gallon........... I called other suppliers and they were not taking new customers. I realize they may not have been able to deliver in a shorter time but they would have got my business. read more

Unbelievable. We can not overstate how frustrated we are with Direct. We were new to propane when we moved to Driftwood. We went with Direct because they supplied the prior owner. We paid a higher rate because we wanted the worry free auto fill option. This did not happen and now in the middle of the winter weather, we are out. Worse yet, they are not answering their phones or they do Answer and immediately hang up. Their service has failed us on every level. Go elsewhere. read more

We were customers because of the prior home owner. We are on automatic fill schedule. We should've been filled prior to the snow storm. The week of the storm, they did not answer phone calls, phone messages, emails, facebook posts or facebook messages. We immediately started calling other businesses who did answer their phones. I ran out of Propane on Monday 2/15 just after the ice storm hit, I called and ordered propane and was told they couldn't deliver until the roads cleared. A week later I called and asked for an eta of delivery, on Monday 2/22 and again Wednesday, the office seemed very irritated with my call and refused to give me any date of delivery. Called again Friday and was told I was on the list to get delivery that day, well they didn't show. I called another company Saturday morning and they were able to deliver Saturday afternoon. I had been a Direct Propane customer 9 years, the drivers were always great, but the office staff, and managers failed in this situation, so I won't bother them with my business again. read more

I understand that this week has been difficult due to the weather. However, my parents have been waiting since Monday for propane. They and myself have attempted to call for a status update but to no avail. We have sent emails with no response. Customer service doesn't cost you anything. Communication is key and therefore due to lack of communication and assistance I write this review so others are aware of what they are getting into if they order from your company. read more

Don C Whoever answers the phone and schedules the deliveries is rude and condescending. Does not understand customer service. I have used the services several times and you never know if they are going to show up at all. During last two deliveries the propane truck left oil stains on my driveway. I live in a development where everyone uses propane and I will make sure to spread the word with the HOA about the worst service possible. I called in yesterday to request a propane delivery and requested 250 gallons to be delivered when possible. The person on the pkone said they would deliver today which was great. They also informed me at the quantity requested it would be $2.00 a gallon and not $2.10 a gallon which was a discount. I asked for a call before hand so I could have our dogs put away for easier delivery. Today I received a call from the driver and I stated we werent home but he was good to deliver and I could pay him or the office. The driver stated he would call me when he was done to collect payment and that was fine. The propane was delivered and the driver called back and stated he put 350 gallons in our tank and it was $700 even. Im upset because they were told to put in 250 gallons not 350 gallons with a $200 difference in price I didnt expect or agree to. We called the office and complained and explained that was money we really couldnt spend right now but its all done now and we are out the money. They offered for us to pay the difference monthly but we opted to pay and be done with them. My point to this is if you have propane delivered by this company besure you get what you ask for so your not paying more then your prepared for! read more

I have been using Direct for 3 decades. When we moved to Bastrop county we used another supplier. About Christmas time we needed propane and called for a filling. We we're poor but always paid our bill. They refused to deliver. I called Webberville and they came even without us being a customer. And they were considerate of our situation. We have never left their service. After the 2011 fires we came back to them. Always on time and courteous. All the different drivers have been great. Times have changed ,not poor anymore and never using another company. read more

Smelled propane in the house and called Direct Propane. They sent out David, who was the ultimate professional. He did a thorough test of our house, extremely meticulous. Found three leaks, and really went above and beyond to fix them and to inform me on what was happening. Spend many hours making sure everything was 100% safe and correct. Very grateful for amazing service. They also offer a service to keep us topped off so I never have to worry about how much propane is in the tank. read more

We just moved to Georgetown about a month ago, and ran out of propane gas in our house tank on a Sunday morning when the outside temperature was about 25 degrees. I told my wife there was no way we were going to get someone to come out to our house on a Sunday afternoon to refill the tank, and that we'd very likely have to shiver through a cold night together, but Direct Propane came through and sent a truck out within a couple of hours of my call. They really could not have been any nicer. They took the time to show us how to read the tank gauge and where all the gas cutoff valves were located in the event of an emergency. We are now all set up with them on their automatic fill program. My wife and I were very impressed with (and thankful for) their prompt customer service. They can count on us to be long-time customers. read more

I had ordered some from another company 5 days prior and they still had not delivered. I called Direct Propane Services and they are delivering the same day at the best price I've found yet. The only reason I'm giving this company 1 star is because the gentleman that initially answered the phone was polite. The person, who I believe is Lauren (runs the office) called me back and was rude, impatient and put out! She treated me like an idiot when I asked questions. This company brags about its customer service, well I can tell you that they aren't interested in any suggestions or comments or perhaps even phone calls from customers. If my neighborhood let us choose who we use for propane, I'd go elsewhere. Very disappointing to know that a local family owned business can't do better than this. Shameful. read more
