We moved to Austin recently. We were in the city before and never had to deal with propane tanks in our houses needing to be refilled. Cold front coming, everything in the house is run on gas. We had to sleep last night at about 60 to 62 Fahrenheit. Other companies are comfortably telling us we cannot deliver until the 24th. They think we're gonna wait for two weeks without gas. And there was another company that offered to come on Saturday, but they were being very abrasive and unfriendly about it. Then we called Bubbas Got Gas. Very busy time, cold front coming in, other companies are out for two weeks. And then the nice lady on the phone says, it's the company owners policy that no home goes without hot water and warmth and gas..... In a matter of a couple of hours after the phone call, one of their drivers and technicians called Larry came by, I can't express what a pleasant experience it was with Larry . He went above and beyond, taught us everything we needed to know, checked all the appliances made sure everything is good, made sure there are no leaks and no issues. so refreshing seeing this level of Customer Service. BY FAR THE BEST PROPANE SERVICE IN THE AREA. Employees are all very friendly, knowledgeable and represent the company as if it were their own. I've used Bubba for over 4 years, and I'd give them 10 stars if I could. You'd think all propane company's are about the same and it doesn't really matter who you use. Let me tell you why Bubba is the best and stands above all the others. A family member had another company come out several months ago because we thought there was a leak in the 20+ year old tank. They checked the tank and said everything was fine. Fast forward 2 months, $800 + and the 250 gal tank is empty (normally last a year plus). The propane company they had been using said they couldn't get there until the following week. Bubbas team came out on a Friday evening at 6pm within an hour of our call. They trouble shot the problem and found not only a leak in the tank, but one in the main line to the house. Bubba personally came out to assist his technician that evening and sat down with my grandparents to explain what the problem was and the next steps to make the repairs. He put everyone at ease! Bubbas service is outstanding. They are there within 24 hours of the calls we made. During the snow storm, I tried another company (as Bubbas didn't get to their office and not returning my calls timely unfortunately) and they committed on three different days to come and did not. Called Bubbas again and they showed the next day. They rationed the delivery to 50% so everyone got some gas (outstanding!!). Can't say enough about Bubbas thus far. read more

We called Bubba's at 4pm in a Friday New Years Eve weekend.) my son has never had propane before, and his tank ran out. This runs his heater, stove and hot water. We called 2 other places and were told it would be Wednesday of next week due to the holiday. I switched to Bubba's propane service for the price, but I'm definitely staying for the service! My storage tank of many years, sprung a leak so to speak. I discovered it over the weekend. I was outside and I thought there was a dead animal in my yard, but after following the scent I found the valve and I could hear the leak as well as smell it. You can imagine I had images of my house somehow going up in flames due to a gas leak! Well I called Bubba on a Saturday, and he had someone out to my place in an hour to inspect and fix it. Wow! Every person on this team is absolutely exceptional! I interacted with many of them because I had a new propane tank installed where there were no existing lines. The manager, Tammy is just outstanding. Although I know they stay busy, they were able to schedule me quickly, even though I kept having to reschedule because of other delays. I wish everyone on my project were as amazing as this team. From the first day, Bubba came out himself to check out my install. I loved that. He is truly invested in his business and customers. It shows on every level. I mean, the quality is fantastic and every person so professional and expert. Donnie came out to connect my appliances. I need to mention he came after his appointments were done for the day, on a Friday. He squeezed us in because I hadn't had hot water in a week because of a plumbing issue. He stayed hours after his day should have been over. I also want to say that they didn't say they were squeezing me in, nor did they mention "after hours". They acted like it was normal to go above and beyond. And! When converting my gas cooktop to liquid propane, he enlightened me about cooktops that aren't converted. I learned that our previous home in driftwood had been unconverted! (The cooktop). It causes very high, uncontrollable flames and sooty buildup on your pots. I was able to share that with the people living there. It's a lovely Viking range and I had never known why it was so weird. Anyway, I could just go on and on about these wonderful people. If you use their propane services beware of price gouging. They expect customers not to monitor their gas meter like I do. They routinely drop in without notifying the customer to fill up but they falsely and fraudulently inflate the amount of gas they actually used and thus jack up the prices. I do not trust this company to be ethical. Buyer beware! read more

Bubbas is the worst company we have dealt with since in the Spring Branch area. I would give no stars if possible. Jesse is the representative that would come out and "fill" our gas except each time he would leave it a open enough for the gas to escape in order to come back and charge me again within the month. The last time he came by he ripped the Bubba's sticker off and covered up the phone number and lisence number (which is 09789) with the same sticker threw in the backyard. I had to refill the gas a third time with a company I had to MAKE SURE isn't Bubba's because apparently they have more than one phone line. I tried to resolve my issue with the company but received only rudeness. Please refrain from getting gas from Bubba's. read more

Jesse came to refill our propane tank as it had gone completely out and we didn't remember to check. He refilled it, checked for leaks, repaired a pipe(don't remember what he called it) and came inside and waited until our burners came back on(since it had air in the pipe). I havnt actually got to use their propane services yet but I have to say how awesome their customer service is. I have machines that run on propane. I travel all over the U.S. Setting them up. Finding propane service is something I always dread when i arrive to a new city. So calling up Bubbas I expected it to be as usual not so great service. I was wrong. Even though I called late on a friday they gave me their sales persons cell phone number. Her name was Leann. She took my call after hours which was awesome. She didn't tell me no they couldn't help or any of the standard denials. She said that she would talk to her owner to see what they could do for me. That goes along way. During the worst snowstorm in Texas history, we unexpectedly ran out of gas at a residential treatment center for abused children. No heat, and no way to cook. I called Bubba's late in the day, not expecting anything for a couple of days, due to bad road conditions. They were sympathetic to the situation, had a guy with a 4x4 truck do a special run, and now we are all well again. Very courteous, professional employees. Aces in my book. read more

Last Christmas eve, our propane tank had developed a leak; Bubba himself showed up and not only replaced all of the hardware on top of the tank, but moved the tank to a better location in relation to the house.
